They provided a free car pickup from the train station, and upon arrival at the city gates, they arranged a human rickshaw to whisk our luggage through the stone streets directly to our door. A special shoutout to 阿龙 (A-Long), 李琳 (Li Lin), and the entire team. They truly go out of their way to make you feel like family rather than just a guest. I had a truly memorable stay at YUNDU and would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, tastefully designed, and warm place to stay in Lijiang. Overall, the experience was very positive, with excellent service, cozy design, and many thoughtful touches. There were a few minor areas for improvement, but they did not take away from how much I enjoyed my stay. Breakfast was excellent and honestly better than many meals I had outside. The local auntie who prepares breakfast is incredibly warm and friendly. The mixian is very foreigner-friendly, light, comforting, and not oily or salty like many outside options. I requested extra vegetables and additional boiled eggs, and she was more than happy to accommodate. This care really stood out. YUNDU’s Samoyed dog, Sanjin (三斤), is truly the heart and mascot of the hotel. He is extremely friendly and intelligent. Staff would say things like “去拍照，去跟姐姐玩” and Sanjin would immediately come over. During my afternoon tea, he quietly came over and sat beside me, which was a very heart-warming moment. Upon checkout, I even received Sanjin fridge magnets and a Polaroid photo, which was incredibly thoughtful. First impressions were great. As part of the package, YUNDU arranged an airport pickup from Lijiang Airport using a clean, comfortable EV. The driver was friendly, chatty, and helpful, and the ride to the hotel was smooth and relaxing. I was pleasantly surprised with a free room upgrade. The upgraded room was spacious, perfect for morning stretching, and included a large and very clean bathtub. Bath balls and a sheet mask were provided, which was a lovely winter touch. The bed was very comfortable. The pillows were a bit soft for me, but there were firmer ones available, and layering them worked well. The blanket was thick, soft, and warm, and even during power outages, I stayed comfortable. Facilities were well thought out, including a Laifen hair dryer with strong airflow, a large high-definition TV facing the bed with VIP streaming access, and a large humidifier suitable for overnight use. The bathroom layout was excellent for winter, with separated toilet and shower. The electronic toilet has heating and auto-flush, and the shower area includes warm air from above. The mirror lighting is also great for makeup. There were some minor layout quirks. There is no floor heating, and the slippers were placed far from the entrance. The electric kettle was placed on a cabinet with no power socket nearby. Service was one of YUNDU’s strongest points. Staff helped with luggage, provided room tours, and checked in regularly via WeChat. When I mentioned possible altitude discomfort, they even gifted me an oxygen tank. The boss was friendly and happily helped me take photos with Sanjin. The only small gap was the butler service. I only realised who my butler was on the last night, and one included service, a butler-accompanied visit to Baisha Ancient Town, which never happened — neither I nor the staff remembered it until I reviewed my package later on Trip.com. That said, my butler was extremely efficient in arranging transportation to Lugu Lake, with smooth coordination and reasonable pricing. The entire property is tastefully decorated, cozy, and inviting. The fireplace in the lobby is a highlight and perfect for winter evenings. During my first two nights, there were power outages. While this delayed some of my work, the room stayed warm. The upside was zero light pollution, and I could see a sky full of stars, which became one of my favourite moments of the stay. I strongly recommend YUNDU to anyone looking for a beautiful view, thoughtful design, warm service, and a cozy yet affordable stay in Lijiang. If you love Lijiang, come to Baisha. If you love Baisha, come to YUNDU.

This place just blew me away. Smack in the middle of Lijiang old town, beautiful architecture and 6 star service all the way! The room amenities are on par with 5 star international hotels. Soft fluffy towels and bedding, a deek soaking tub, quality amenities. Our personal concierge Rui Rui is a beautiful and sweet local Naxi girl who arranged everything from pick-up, show tickets, dinner recommendations, and tips for where to go etc etc. Amy the restaurant manager provided amazing service and delicious food and drinks, and makes the best coffee in the entire Yunnan. The afternoon tea is a must do. The garden is a menagerie of animals. There is also a special furkid at reception to greet you when you arrive. Also you get the best view of old town from the restaurant . We will definitely be back soon!

The location is good here, it's walking distance to the Black Dragon Pool and the Lijiang Ancient Town. The service is good here though the breakfast selection isn't huge. Overall it's good for what you paid for.

麗江古城をゆっくり楽しみたい方におすすめのホテルです。大水車や四方街にも比較的近く、食事や買い物にも便利ですが、少し離れている分、夜は静かで落ち着いて過ごせました。 昔ながらの四合院風の建物や中庭の雰囲気がとても良く、アフタヌーンティーのコーヒーとケーキを楽しみながらのんびりできます。屋上の展望台から見える古城の景色も最高でした。 スタッフはとても親切で、外国人対応にも慣れている印象。駅まで無料で送ってもらえたのもありがたかったです。 部屋は広くて清潔感があり快適。朝食は小規模ですが、米線やお粥、パンなどがあり、手作り感があって美味しかったです。ただ、水回りの扉の立て付けだけ少し気になりました。 古城内は車が入れないので、荷物が多いと少し大変ですが、金虹路から徒歩3分ほどでアクセスは便利でした。　　　　　　　　 工作人员非常热情友好，对外国游客也很照顾，沟通没有问题。 酒店离古城最热闹的区域稍微有一点距离，所以环境很安静，晚上休息特别舒服。楼顶观景台可以俯瞰丽江古城的屋顶和街景，景色很美。 酒店是保留传统风格的四合院建筑，很有古城氛围，旁边还有咖啡店。白天可以在庭院里悠闲地喝咖啡，酒店还提供下午茶（咖啡和蛋糕），很适合放松。 房间宽敞又干净，整体住得很舒服，不过浴室门的安装稍微有点问题。 周边吃饭、咖啡店和购物都很方便。早餐虽然不算丰富，但有米线、粥、面包等，带点手工家常的感觉，味道不错。 酒店离古城入口的大水车很近，到四方街也不远。从北侧主路金虹路步行大约3分钟（下坡路），附近也有出租车等候。 因为古城内禁止车辆进入，如果行李很多，需要注意从外面走进来的距离和坡道。酒店还免费送我们去车站，非常贴心。 如果想慢慢感受丽江古城的氛围，这里是很值得推荐的住宿。

This was my second stay at a Banyan Tree property, and once again, it turned out to be a truly memorable and pleasant experience. Frank, our personal concierge, was exceptionally responsive and attentive throughout our stay. He was always quick to assist with our requests and even replied to messages after regular working hours. There was a minor housekeeping incident during our stay, but Frank handled the service recovery professionally and resolved the matter promptly. The thoughtful gesture of providing gifts and a cake was greatly appreciated, and my child absolutely loved the surprise. From start to finish, we felt genuinely well taken care of. Frank’s service was highly commendable, and he is definitely a valuable asset to the Banyan Tree Group. Our dinner experience at Baiyun was also superb. The ambience was wonderful, and the food was excellent. We also enjoyed the complimentary photoshoot session, which became one of the most memorable highlights of our trip. Our photographer was incredibly professional and patient, guiding us throughout the session and capturing many beautiful photos. In the end, I decided to purchase a photo package because the photos turned out so well and were truly worth it. The staff there were also warm, friendly, efficient, and highly responsive. There are, however, a few areas that could be improved: 1. The menu and operating schedule for Mingyue were somewhat confusing. We had planned to have dinner there one evening, only to realize that Chinese cuisine was not served on certain days and during certain hours, which required us to make alternative arrangements. 2. The soundproofing in the room could be improved, as we were able to hear our neighboring guests quite clearly even when they were speaking at normal volume. 3. The water temperature in the shower was inconsistent. Although we adjusted it to a comfortable level, the temperature would occasionally drop suddenly and become very cold. 4. Staff could perhaps be slightly more observant and proactive. On our first day, it was raining when we arrived at the room via buggy. There was no sheltered area where we alighted, so we had to stand briefly in the rain while moving our luggage. 5. The fruit platter in the room could be fresher. The apples and oranges did not seem as fresh compared to what we experienced at other hotels in Dali and Kunming. 6. Breakfast options could be expanded further. I was also hoping to find more fresh and exotic detox juices, especially ones prepared on the spot. (Similar to Bintan Banyan Tree) Despite these minor issues, our overall stay was still excellent. The scenery and views within the resort were absolutely stunning, and we especially enjoyed being able to feed the ducks and fishes. It created a very relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere for the family. Mingyue 的菜单及营业安排稍微有些混乱。我们原本计划某晚在那里用餐，后来才发现中餐只在特定日期和时段供应，导致我们需要临时另作安排。 2. 房间的隔音效果可以再加强一些，因为即使隔壁房客只是正常音量交谈，我们也能听得相当清楚。 3. 淋浴的水温不太稳定。虽然我们已经调到舒适温度，但水温偶尔还是会突然下降，变得非常冷。 4. 员工或许可以更主动及细心一些。我们第一天抵达房间时正好下雨，而下车的位置并没有遮雨处，因此我们在搬运行李时需要短暂淋雨。 5. 房内水果盘的新鲜度可以再提升。苹果和橙子的状态，相较于我们之前在大理及昆明入住的其他酒店，感觉没有那么新鲜。 6. 早餐选择方面可以再更加丰富一些。我也特别期待能有更多现做的新鲜排毒果汁或特色果汁。（类似Banyan Tree Bintan的安排） 尽管存在这些小问题，但整体入住体验依然非常优秀。度假村内的景色和环境真的非常漂亮，我们尤其喜欢可以喂鸭子和鱼儿的体验，让整个氛围变得格外轻松惬意，也非常适合家庭度假。未来有机会的话，我们一定还会想再次回来入住。

The hotel is really nice. Room is very spacious and clean. The staffs are great and have extremely well service minded. An outstanding staff named Amelia is impressed me by my her service which are best and beyond my expectation. If I can score this service, I would give more than 10 out of 10 by this lady’s service. A stunning stay! The room I picked was the 180+180 room and the view was just absolutely stunning. I recommend staying more than a day to just enjoy the views of the mountain. I was hosted by Hongliang and team who were so very attentive. They gave quick recommendations on what to eat in the vicinity and helped arranged all the activities they offered. The photography experience was especially fun and the photographer gave clear guidance and there was a good selection of outfits for ladies (just one for males). The session included makeup and hairdo as well, one per room, top up if more guests want to participate. I wish I had remembered there was a free shoot then I would have saved on the one done in the ancient city. These photos turned out really nice and you can pay a fee for each additional photo you like. Coord directly with the photog 2 days before your stay. The tea pressing activity was at a nearby tea dealer and the staff were very well versed in all types of tea, if you are a connoisseur you would enjoy it. All in all an amazing stay that I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a mountain retreat.
