Hotel Shantou dengan Tempat Letak Kereta

We chose this hotel primarily for its proximity to the Shantou railway station. The night prior, we stayed at a nearby Hampton but had a disappointing experience, so this was our first stay with a local Chinese chain brand. Check-in was smooth and efficient, although no English was spoken at the front desk. We had requested a higher-floor, quieter room via WeChat in advance and were initially assigned Room 602. Upon entering, the room appeared clean and well-maintained. However, we encountered an unusual and inconvenient issue with the Wi-Fi. Guests are instructed to turn on the TV to access the Wi-Fi password, but we discovered that the TV must remain on in order for the Wi-Fi to function. This was confirmed by multiple staff members, including what appeared to be a front desk supervisor. This setup was quite disruptive, as the TV screen is bright and cannot be dimmed, and the work desk is positioned directly in front of it. To their credit, Ms. Lin—responded promptly and offered to move us to another room (also 602, but with a different layout). The new layout was more practical, with the desk positioned at a 90-degree angle from the TV, which helped mitigate the issue somewhat. That said, the second room had its own drawback: there was a noticeable gap in the window, which allowed in road noise. Since we stayed over the weekend, traffic noise and honking were quite noticeable at night. In addition, we heard neighbors chatting and laughing past midnight. Lotion could be a nice addition too. A small humidifier with scented oil definitely gave a zen touch. Aside from these two issues (Wi-Fi dependency on the TV and sound insulation), the overall stay was comfortable. As a gesture of goodwill, the hotel provided complimentary breakfast. While we are not typically breakfast eaters, we did try the noodle station. The offerings were entirely Chinese-style. One suggestion would be to label the protein options more clearly (in Chinese or English), as we observed multiple guests asking staff about them—one of which turned out to be pig’s heart. Overall, this was a good introduction to a Chinese domestic hotel brand. I learned that they got a few locations in Europe. While there are areas for improvement, particularly in technology setup and soundproofing, the service recovery effort and general room quality made for a satisfactory stay.

A solid, modern choice for a short trip. The property is fresh and has some really cool features, like the robot that delivers food directly to your doorstep—it's a very convenient and cool touch. Highlights: Love the dual-pillow options (soft/hard) and the 24-hour front desk that helps manage the laundry for you. We were also grateful for the free room extension until 1 PM. Drawbacks: No ground-floor staff to help with bags since the lobby is on Level 2. Wi-Fi signal is weak, and the breakfast is the same every day (though there are many eateries nearby). Smells: You’ll notice the wet market smell outside and the strong essential oil scent in the lobby, but it’s manageable since you aren't at the hotel lobby all day.

Great furnishing and located right at the city center of Shantou. Facilities were not much to avail, with no refrigerator or microwaves in the hotel or even on the floor. Staff are attentive but quite young. FYI staffing hours are only until night so you will need a card to come back. Love the concept, just the facilities leave a little to be desired.

It is incredibly convenient to get to **Zhujiang Food Street**: just turn left from the hotel’s main entrance, walk straight for about 5 minutes until you reach the traffic light, turn left, and you are right there! 🛎️ Service The customer service here is exceptional. Both the front desk and the housekeeping teams were incredibly friendly and welcoming—a huge thank you to everyone! Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay. 🧺 Amenities Comparison That said, when comparing the specific amenities—particularly the washing machine and dryer facilities—with the **Mehood Lestie Flagship Hotel (Shantou MixC)**, I still prefer the MixC location. 🏨 Brand Impression I am highly satisfied with the customer service standards across the Mehood Lestie brand. Their staff truly makes a difference and always ensures we feel welcome. After two separate stays with the Mehood Lestie group, they will definitely be our top choice whenever we visit China in the future. 🥢 Bonus Food Recommendation! Don't miss the shop right next door to the hotel selling rice noodle rolls (*zhu chang fen*) and *har gao* (shrimp dumplings). We ended up eating there for three consecutive days! The *har gao*, in particular, was exceptional—chewy, soft, and surprisingly juicy. Unlike the drier, prawn-only versions you usually get, these were incredibly moist and packed with flavor. Highly recommended!

Fantastic stay ! Big room, big comfortable beds, aircon works very well. Convenient to get didi. Many good restaurants and cafes around , even have a MacDonald’s on the ground floor. The host is superb. No lobby but easy check in and check out. The host answers our request fast. Laundry service is provided for free too. Highly recommended

No regrets paying more for this beautiful homestay! 花多点钱住这里一点遗憾也没有！ My parents, sibling and I stayed for a total of 3 nights in their 4 pax room. It’s a beautiful and tastefully decorated accommodation with personal courtyard and interior. Bed and duvet were so comfortable especially in the chilly weather of 18 ~ 22 degrees. I didn’t spot anything obvious I can complain about regarding the cleanliness of this place, hence 5/5 for cleanliness. Location is perfect (5/5). Next to streets of food places that have good ratings, and super near 万象城 shopping mall (restaurants, luxury shops, retail and more). Anyways cabbing around Shantou is really convenient, fast, and affordable. Even though it is nested amongst other tall residential area, once we close the door we couldn’t hear much noise from outside. Service is 5/5 as well. There’s free pickup and drop off serviced from the railway station. There’s daily fresh fruits delivered to us, as well as chicken soup. There’s also free laundry service which we really appreciate! Staffs were always ready to help and always ready to give recommendations. We really felt their hospitality and they are genuine in providing best service possible. Amenities is 5/5 as well. The hair dryer is Laifen brand which is so strong and sleek looking. They provide disposable towels on top of those reusable towels. Their slippers are fluffy and comfy. They have like everything we need. Bonus: Their residential cat and her kittens are adorable!!! All in all wonderful stay and would stay again if i ever visit Shantou again. Suggestions for improvement: (1) more variety in breakfast options (stayed for 3 nights and felt that some breakfast options would be great), and (2) the shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner are a little too hard to pour out maybe can consider using press bottles.

I recently stayed at this homestay, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The biggest highlight is its prime location—right in the heart of a bustling area, surrounded by popular food stalls and restaurants. If you’re a foodie, you’ll love the convenience of having amazing local eats just a short walk away. The room itself is clean and spacious, comfortably fitting four adults. The design is modern and trendy, making it a great spot for photos. Housekeeping does a great job of cleaning the room daily, which adds to the comfort of the stay. Price-wise, it’s quite reasonable, especially for the location and room size, making it a good option for families. However, the biggest downside is the lift. There’s only one small lift shared between the homestay and the restaurant below, which can be inconvenient during peak hours. The lift also feels a bit dirty and smelly, likely due to some guests smoking inside. I even saw someone spit in the corner, which was quite unpleasant.

頂樓！頂樓！無敵海景！大浴缸！樓下就是青澳灣最美沙灘，小孩玩玩海水玩玩沙，超級開心！回房間後還意猶未盡的到浴缸泡澡繼續玩。晚上和朋友們一起在大陽台喝茶聊天，徐徐的海風吹着，無比愜意，這才是真正的度假。服務更不用説了，發現有遺漏衣物，馬上主動詢問並及時寄回，第二天就收到了。本次是接待外地朋友，大家都很開心，倍有面兒，下次還來。
