PPengguna TetamuGreat hotel. Efficient check in, spotless room with plenty of toiletries and towels etc. Hotel in a great location between historical areas and lovely parks; bars and restaurants. Special mention to breakfast team, who were lovely each day and always on the go.
Catania’s a vibrant place and this hotel really enhanced our trip.

CClaire MPapali was on the first floor of a very old building, so expect to walk up a few steps with your luggage, because there's no elevator ... But, the Signore who welcomed us was very friendly and even went downstairs - while I already could go into our room - to help my husband find a parking spot on the street nearby.
We had a very good night in a simple, but super clean and quite big room, comfy bed as well ... Bathroom was nice and clean with plenty of towels ...
The first picture I took in the morning after our night at Papali out from the balcony, the second was taken in the morning when we had our breakfast served kindly in the little dining area ...
Btw, Papali is located wonderfully - it's an easy walk to all the main sightseeing spots of Catania! I added some pictures of our evening walk ...
Summary: Papali is a great choice locationwise and if you do not want to spend too much, but still want to have a cozy night at a simple but friendly and nice place.

SSunsuntravelAffordable price and overall a decent budget hotel. Convenient location, smooth check-in, and suitable for a short stay or travelers on a tight budget.
However, there's a serious downside — rooms facing the street are unbearably noisy! The traffic noise lasts all night, and the windows are not soundproof at all, making it really hard to sleep. I highly recommend asking for a quiet room at the back when booking, or you might seriously regret it.

SsundncrThis is a wonderful location to stay a night before an early morning flight to the airport. The stay was wonderful too. The hotel has a big pool to relax and the grounds are kept neat. The room had a view of Mount Etna and it was thrilling to see the Mountain during Sunrise. The staff were friendly and receptive. Rooms were large with a big clean bed and linens. Bathroom was more than average size. It was a good and relaxing stay. I think parking is free here. There is a bit of Industrial area around the hotel, but it is very safe. Saw plenty of families with kids enjoying their stay. The hotel has a wonderful restaurant to try the local food. English is spoken by almost all the staff.

PPengguna TetamuA place near the bus station to taormina and siracusa. It's one minute away to take Alibus to airport which cost EUR4. A good location just 15-20 minutes walk to the catania Centrale and the fish market there.
