WWatcherLove the very convenient location right in the middle of Via Etnea, walking distances to most of the major attractions. Front Office is warm and very helpful in providing us with information and map upon checking in. Room was great and very comfortable. We were an hour early for check-in, and the room we booked wasn't available then. Instead, we got a surprise to be able to check-in into a bigger room. Breakfast is fabulous with lots of choices. Highly recommended.
The property is right opposite the Rinascente departmental store. Before careful if you are claiming VAT refund. My tax refund of over 200 euros was disallowed as the tax refund form prepared by them deliberately omitted the last digit of my passport number.

CClaire MPapali was on the first floor of a very old building, so expect to walk up a few steps with your luggage, because there's no elevator ... But, the Signore who welcomed us was very friendly and even went downstairs - while I already could go into our room - to help my husband find a parking spot on the street nearby.
We had a very good night in a simple, but super clean and quite big room, comfy bed as well ... Bathroom was nice and clean with plenty of towels ...
The first picture I took in the morning after our night at Papali out from the balcony, the second was taken in the morning when we had our breakfast served kindly in the little dining area ...
Btw, Papali is located wonderfully - it's an easy walk to all the main sightseeing spots of Catania! I added some pictures of our evening walk ...
Summary: Papali is a great choice locationwise and if you do not want to spend too much, but still want to have a cozy night at a simple but friendly and nice place.

AAlfonsoBottone89Struttura che ha una discreta posizione, qualche strada dietro il lungo mare quindi abbastanza centrale.
Staff gentilissimo e molto disponibile per esempio in camera non ce il bollitore elettrico, quindi sono sceso e in totale disponibilità mi è stata fatta una camomilla per la notte, quindi grazie davvero.
Ho preso una superior, camera di ottime dimensioni ed anche il bagno era bello grande.
Una set di asciugamani come dio comanda finalmente, ciabatte da camera e anche il set di cortesia abbastanza completo.
Sala colazione con tutto quello che serve per fare una discreta colazione, magari un po' ridotta per il volume rispetto alle persone, però abbiamo fatto tardi e siamo andati ad un orario diciamo ”di punta” per la colazione.

CCarmelo RussoHotel comodo per chi deve prendere un aereo perche’ si trova vicino l’aeroporto. Lontano dal centro citta’ Hotel che avrebbe bisogno di un restyling. D’estate ha una piscina ed e’ dotato di una palestra e di ampio parcheggio a pagamento.

SsundncrThis is a wonderful location to stay a night before an early morning flight to the airport. The stay was wonderful too. The hotel has a big pool to relax and the grounds are kept neat. The room had a view of Mount Etna and it was thrilling to see the Mountain during Sunrise. The staff were friendly and receptive. Rooms were large with a big clean bed and linens. Bathroom was more than average size. It was a good and relaxing stay. I think parking is free here. There is a bit of Industrial area around the hotel, but it is very safe. Saw plenty of families with kids enjoying their stay. The hotel has a wonderful restaurant to try the local food. English is spoken by almost all the staff.
