CClaire MPapali was on the first floor of a very old building, so expect to walk up a few steps with your luggage, because there's no elevator ... But, the Signore who welcomed us was very friendly and even went downstairs - while I already could go into our room - to help my husband find a parking spot on the street nearby.
We had a very good night in a simple, but super clean and quite big room, comfy bed as well ... Bathroom was nice and clean with plenty of towels ...
The first picture I took in the morning after our night at Papali out from the balcony, the second was taken in the morning when we had our breakfast served kindly in the little dining area ...
Btw, Papali is located wonderfully - it's an easy walk to all the main sightseeing spots of Catania! I added some pictures of our evening walk ...
Summary: Papali is a great choice locationwise and if you do not want to spend too much, but still want to have a cozy night at a simple but friendly and nice place.

TTintin29Just landed in Sicily, I had a bit of medical condition. The staff were super helpful to arrange the doctor, translate and help me get my meds. The experience made me truly feel welcomed and I gotta have such a wonderful start to the trip thanks to their kindness and hospitality.

SSunsuntravelAffordable price and overall a decent budget hotel. Convenient location, smooth check-in, and suitable for a short stay or travelers on a tight budget.
However, there's a serious downside — rooms facing the street are unbearably noisy! The traffic noise lasts all night, and the windows are not soundproof at all, making it really hard to sleep. I highly recommend asking for a quiet room at the back when booking, or you might seriously regret it.

EEliossPerfect location near the train station and bus stops, walking distance from city center.
The building is elegant and beautiful, with breakfast in the courtyard and fully decorated corridors. My room was quite spacious and interestingly shaped.

SsundncrThis is a wonderful location to stay a night before an early morning flight to the airport. The stay was wonderful too. The hotel has a big pool to relax and the grounds are kept neat. The room had a view of Mount Etna and it was thrilling to see the Mountain during Sunrise. The staff were friendly and receptive. Rooms were large with a big clean bed and linens. Bathroom was more than average size. It was a good and relaxing stay. I think parking is free here. There is a bit of Industrial area around the hotel, but it is very safe. Saw plenty of families with kids enjoying their stay. The hotel has a wonderful restaurant to try the local food. English is spoken by almost all the staff.

KKatarzynaHotel bardzo czysty. Obsługa super. Śniadania niestety pozostawiaja wiele do życzenia. Ale grafitykacja jest super kawa.
