There are 2x 7 feet bed (very comfy), big projector in the living room, and the in room onsen was spacious and clean!
Clean and modern rooms with a smart tv
The room was overlooking the snow and unfortunately lake view was blocked by the snow.
Both dinner and breakfast were of top notch quality (we have tried many and they're usually very average), every dish was delicious and we were very full and satisfied.
There was also a free beer to each guest every night, big selection of black teas in the lounge and free inari sushi (which was btw delicious!!!)
Definitely 100%% would recommend to anyone that is looking for a last stop before heading to the airport

Rrosie_qiqiRoom is spacious with a private garden & outdoors onsen.
Welcome puddings were very yummy and yet the buffet in there was very insipid. Frankly speaking, the only two good foods there are sashimi and rice, what a shame.
Others: Very close to the lake, 1-2 minutes walk; a large and cozy lobby with good jazz music from an antique JBL sound system; live music performance every night; lots of books; fireplace and roasted marshmallows; lovely shop on the 3rd floor (prized reasonably). All is well except the buffet. Did not try the Japanese one (needs to book and pay a lot) hence a bit regretted.

TtarataraMy Stay at a Hot Spring Hotel in Lake Shikotsu
Marukoma Onsen Ryokan is truly a hidden hot spring hotel that few people know about. It's a rare outdoor hot spring hotel in Hokkaido, directly facing the unfrozen Lake Shikotsu. The scenery is incredibly beautiful!
However the transportation is terrible 😞😞😞. It's close to New Chitose Airport, and is too far away from the city. There are only 3-4 public buses per day and it took hours to get there. 🥹🥹😭😭😭 But if you're driving on a self-drive trip, then forget it.
The hotel occupies a large area by the lake, and there are no restaurants around since its secluded location 🥹🥹. If you don't book meals in advance, you can only buy instant food from the hotel's convenience store. Fortunately, you may have a high chance of encountering deer.
Anyway, the outdoor hot spring is free. In the morning, there are usually no people around, so you can take photos.
Private Hot Springs: There are two private hot - spring pools, one indoor and one semi -enclosed facing the outside. But! You must book it during the daytime. It gets dark early in winter. If you booked it at 7 p.m. then you couldn't see anything.
The breakfast is good.

EEpianThe hotel boasts an excellent location, within walking distance of major attractions. Although the room is small, its modern minimalist design is thoughtfully laid out, maximizing space and making movement easy. A nice touch is the provision of two-piece pajamas for guests. The buffet for both dinner and breakfast offers a wide variety of delicious options. Overall, a comfortable and well-designed stay with great dining choices.

SSurasak PremchitIt’s a compact hotel located near the JR station, just a few minutes walk to the hotel. There is a free shuttle service to the airport, but you have to show your intention when checking in. The reception staff is very attentive. The room is fully equipped. I will come back to stay here again when I have a chance.

PPengguna TetamuA bit hard to Checkin at first because we forgot to do the pre-Checkin but the staff online help us and finally we got in around 8pm. However, the room is big 4 beds with huge screen TV WITH YOUTUBE AND NETFLIX. All amenity is plenty enough for family. There are washing machine and heater which is big help and make this place stand out. We love this place and wanted to come back.

PPengguna TetamuThe hotel staff is very nice in helping us checking in and gave us 4 tokens for the vending machine (we're a group of 5). Each coin worth 150 JPY. The onsen is clean and safe, separate floor for men and women onsen. For women, there will be a code to enter when entering the onsen on the 14th floor. The room is clean and the AC works well. Great overall experience. The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus to the airport. 8 people per bus.

Wwoo 張Originally, we only stayed here for one night due to a flight connection, but the experience far exceeded our expectations! The hotel offers great amenities like an on-site hot spring, massage chairs, and a gym. Plus, the complimentary ochazuke (tea rice) for late-night snacks was such a nice touch—perfect after a long day of traveling. What’s more, they provide free airport shuttle service, which saved us a lot of trouble.
In the morning, the golden sunlight streaming through the courtyard was absolutely stunning, adding a peaceful and beautiful start to our day.
Considering all these, the price is really reasonable and worth it. Highly recommend this place for transit travelers!

WWEI KETLocation, drive to Airport is about 20 minute. Easy to locate the hotel, even first time arrival by self drive during the NIGHT. Staff service Good. I didn't take meal to early departure.
