The beds are incredibly uncomfortable if it's not a new hotel. The minibar has not even been put in a free water. Breakfast is average for hotels of these standards. Those who put a single coffee machine in a single coffee machine are their turn every morning you know. There's no one to inform you. You need to learn yourself. We had a very pleasant stay at Scandic Crown. The hotel is family friendly and our kids really enjoyed the facilities. There were several activities to keep them entertained, including foosball, table tennis, and a small indoor soft play area, which was a great bonus for families. The location is also very convenient. The city centre is within easy reach, and both tram and bus stops are nearby, making it easy to get around Gothenburg. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Overall, we had a great experience and would happily stay here again, especially when travelling with children. Highly recommended for families visiting Gothenburg.

Super clean and environmentally friendly hotel. It is located in a quiet area and within 10 mins of all key attractions of Gothenburg. It’s also ideally a 20 min bus from the airport. The facilities on site are great, from a fitness studio, outdoor seating and dining hall. Staff are also very helpful. Recommend for business and personal stays!

Extremely well located in the centre of Gothenburg, directly opposite the central railway station, and the departure point of the airport bus. Nice restaurant and bar. Size of the room average but great to relax on the soft comfortable bed. Breakfast was very welcome and a good selection of Scandinavian offerings. Just nearby to a shopping mall so OK for essentials / fast food. It is also within a short distance (5 mins walk) of the Botanical Gardens which had a colourful and varied array of horticulture - great for a walk and a bit of exercise after your flight.

My recent stay at the Scandic Göteborg Central was a truly positive experience, largely thanks to its fantastic location and the excellent service provided. Being just a short, pleasant 10-minute walk from the central station was incredibly convenient. This made arriving and departing effortless, and exploring the city using public transport was a breeze. The service I encountered throughout the hotel was consistently great. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready with a smile. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient, and any queries I had were addressed promptly and with genuine care. One of the highlights of my stay was undoubtedly the breakfast. The spread was impressive, offering a wide variety of options to suit all tastes. From fresh pastries and bread to a selection of hot dishes, cereals, fruits, and yogurts, there was something for everyone. The quality of the food was also noteworthy, making for a delightful start to each day. Overall, the Scandic Göteborg Central offered a comfortable and convenient base for my time in Gothenburg. Its perfect location near the central station, coupled with the great service and delicious breakfast, made for a memorable and enjoyable stay. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city.

We arrived at 7:30 pm and were told we got a room “upgrade”. The room was small so we really wondered what the “original” room looked like. The bed had stains on the cover that was laid under the mattress which didn’t look good. We went down to the lobby and found nobody present. We moved on to the restaurant, it was 8 pm. Half full and we were met with the wonderful advise that they were closed for service. This was Friday May 16th and the menu board was still at the entrance door to the restaurant. We went back to the reception and queried why the restaurant was not serving dinner at 8 pm on a Friday. The receptionist looked dumbfounded and told us it usually serves dinner at least until 9 pm but she took no action to assist us except to say we could walk fir 15 minutes to the Aveny, a street with lots of restaurants but could not suggest any close by. We ended up going to, as it happened, a fantastic restaurant right around the corner called Le Pigalle on the top floor of, we guess, a competing hotel. Fabulous meal in a restaurant that knew how to treat their guests. In short we have regretfully no positive things to say about the ProfilHotels Opera in Gothenburg. Gothenburg was fantastic but when we return we will definitely not book at the Opera which is overpriced for the standard and service they offer. Total waste of money at this venue. Regretfully we did not bother to take any pictures of the place as it is nothing we wish to remember about it.

The hotel’s location is excellent and very convenient for exploring the city, which was definitely a highlight of my stay. However, there were a few aspects that fell short of expectations. Firstly, my room did not have a view of the street as I had hoped, but instead faced an inner atrium, which made it feel somewhat enclosed and less appealing. Additionally, I had booked a double room but was given a twin room instead, which was disappointing. The reception staff were not particularly friendly or welcoming, which affected the overall first impression. On a more positive note, the food in the restaurant was of satisfactory quality, and the selection was quite diverse. Overall, this is a solid hotel in a convenient location for city exploration, but the experience was far from memorable.

Loved the location of this hotel as well as the downstairs communal areas. Also the size of the room was great. Unfortunately the bed was incredibly uncomfortable and cheap so I barely slept a wink in my 3 nights there. I asked for an extra pillow as you only get one and that still didn’t help. Staff were lovely when I did speak to them, but you can easily go by your whole stay without talking to someone which is a shame as you don’t get told any information. There was also no fridge or safe in the rooms which I thought was pretty standard. Food at the breakfast buffet was really good though. Great options for vegans/gluten free too.

Breakfast: buffet style, rather limited options compared to some other hotels but it’s still good for its price. Room: Spacious enough for 2 people, we can lay down and open 2 suitcases simultaneously at ease. Hair dryer provided. There were some weird red stains on the jacuzzi (we weren’t going to use that anyway) so the room doesn’t seemed to be cleaned properly. Moreover, the bathroom drain was clogged and the water was close to flowing out of the bathroom, we told the reception and we got to change to another room. The second room was ok.
