They have an ideal location in the heart of the town, a short walk from the medieval core. There are 10-12 parking spaces in an courtyard parking area available at a nominal charge on a first come first serve basis. There is a friendly and helpful staff, decent breakfast and clean and somewhat updated rooms. Bravo for good lighting in the bathroom, a rarity in France, decent rainwater shower and comfortable bed. The closet, and area, such as it is and mini-mini deskette and a small ***** of horizontal panel under the flat screen television are a lame attempt to use some very limited space. I don;t know what makes it a Prestige room, but I am glad we didn't have a Regular one which has to be even worse. It is an old hotel, drab on the outside and somewhat drab on the inside. But it is clean and trying to upgrade a bit. A decent sized elevator is a plus. Other than a total revamp, I suppose we and Perigueux will have to make do. We all deserve better and MErcure and Accor know how to do that.

I was very happy with my room, the bed was comfortable and there was no noise from the street when the windows were closed. Above all, I was amazed and delighted with the freshness, range and quality of the beeakfast buffet. I truly cannot remember having stayed in a hotel in which the breakfast buffet was so good and generous (including fresh and dried fruit of different kinds, freshly made cakes each day, fresh croissants and pains au chocolat, cereals, yoghurt, different kinds of fresh bread and cheeses, coffee and other drinks, etc). The staff were friendly over the four days I was there. Overall, a very positive experience, they are to be commended !

Прекрасное расположение и вид из окна на собор. Это так аутентично слышать звук колокола и пение птиц в декабре. Правда для этого надо выбирать этаж повыше. Завтрак нормальный, шведский стол, но хотелось бы чтобы горячие блюда были более теплыми. В плане удобств пожелание дополнить номер чайником, или кофеваркой или диспенсером на этаже. Так как зимой хочется согреться после прогулки, то не удобно каждый раз спускаться за кипятком на ресепшен.
