We were booked into a standard room by our travel agent - we upgraded as the standard was a tiny room with shower over the toilet. Backpackers style. The superior room, like in above photo was lovely but from street level was 229 steps up a hill. Room was lovely and view was fantastic. Shower had no pressure at all so very difficult to wash hair or clean yourself. Staff were very helpful however and friendly and carried our bags up and down all the steps when we arrived and departed. Cheap to stay at and the upgrade for 2 nights was only approx $25 NZD so well worth it.

The absolute BEST pool view in all of Phuket! Interesting room, but that’s not what we were here for. Good location and you got a free view of the fire shows every night, also a free concert of the beach parties. Excellent value for money.

If this was the only remaining accommodation left in Phi Phi I would advise to sleep on the beach or just don’t bother going. The smell of sewerage is unbearable. View obstructed by overgrown bush. Place is untidy with rubbish everywhere. 2 mile uphill through piles of garbage up and is just too far away to enjoy a short stay on what is otherwise a beautiful island. Not safe to be walking at night time. Staff were friendly and did give a hand to carry bags up the hill. Checked in and immediately looked for alternative accommodation. We had booked 3 nights. Offered owner to pay for the 1 and asked if we could have money back for the other 2 but they refused. Unfortunately had paid upfront on Agoda. Ruined what should have been a nice stay of our holiday in Thailand. Moved to Banyan Villa which was very nice and in a great location.

Péssimo hotel. A localização parece boa por ser muito próximo do centro onde ficam as lojas e restaurantes, mas a verdade é ser um péssimo local. Ao passar por uma recepção muito bonita e limpa te indicam que você deve sair e passar por um beco para entrar no hotel. Ele é extremamente mal conservado com muitas falhas em acabamos e limpeza. Ele mais parece um hostel do que um hotel. No bangalô que deveria ser uma acomodação mais reservada, você escuta o barulho de todos os outros bangalôs. E por todos os locais que você olha há poeira e alguma coisa quebrada. Tem um ar condicionado d dentro do quarto, mas é como se nem tivesse pq ele não funciona. Colocamos 16⁰ C e parecia que era apenas um ventilador. Ficamos 2 horas no hotel e preferimos fazer o check-out por todas essas falhas. Ao final, pedimos para realizar o check-out e pedir o extorno das demais diárias que não chegamos a utilizar. Não conseguimos o extorno, pois apesar de mostrarmos o quanto era diferente do anunciado para a realidade a recepcionista nos informou que não realizam qualquer tipo de extorno. Esse tipo de hotel é só para enganar turista que não conhece a região e paga um valor considerável em um hotel que não vale nem 1% do valor real dele. Nos sentimos enganados e roubados.

Our stay at PP Charlie was amazing. The room was spacious and offered little luxuries we were not expecting like flip flops and beach mats. The tv has access to Netflix which we enjoyed. The resort is close to bars and restaurants but you cannot hear the noise from your hotel room. The pools were refreshing and it was easy to get a sun lounger. The breakfast was good, there was ample variety and always had an option which suited us. The hotel collected us and our bags from the pier and took our bags for us when we were leaving this service was very much appreciated. We would stay here again.

Jan'23: I honestly DON'T understand the 4/5 star reviews for this property. Most of them attribute it to the beautiful view from the pool. I do agree, the pool is awesome but only if you need to upload photos on IG. Other than that let me tell you some hard facts: 1. Room quality- These are smallest and darkest rooms I have ever been to. Century old furnishing, which feels like it will break down any moment. 2. Non functional AC - An AC which literally takes 45 minutes to get the room to a bearable temperature. 3. Inaccesible location - The property is literally the second last property on the island and away from all the stores, restaurants and bars. You have to walk atleast 15 minutes to get to the Tonsai market which you might need to do atleast 4-5 times a day. 4. Poor service- The staff were very rude and inconsiderate of any request that we had. No luggage carts, no fresh linen and completely non responsive to any request. I had to drag my luggage to the pier while leaving the property. 5. Exorbitant Pricing - I will concede that the pool view was great which is the reason that most people have rated 4/5 stars, but considering that we paid 125 USD for a night stay, you can get far better accommodation on Tonsai Beach with better furnishing and facilities. Koh Phi phi in itself is stunning and you will have far better spots to get those IG likes. Choose wisely.
