A fantastic little hide away right on the rivers edge.
Very clean and tidy excellent grounds and very quiet at night.
We stayed in the compact room with all the amenities on hand.
If your looking for a quiet place to retreat too it's well worth taking the trip.
Only one word for this place - funky. Funky eclectic selection of rooms, from concrete bungalows (34 sq to 56 sq meters), to shipping containers stacked upon one another 12 to 15 sq meters). I stayed in a "cozy room" container (15 sq m) on the 2nd floor, overlooking the pool. Nice view. Room was very basic, but had a TV, fridge, kettle, AC, hot water, a small set of shelves, and a small balcony with table and chairs. The room also had many small touches that added character, which is a nice change from sterile hotel rooms. To access the balcony though, you have to crawl over the bed, a bit tricky with a laptop and cup of coffee. Missing was a wardrobe, stowage for a suitcase, workspace of any kind, and extra power points for charging my phone. But I understood the room size when booking, so my eyes were open to what I was getting. What I wasn't ready for though, was the smell of sewer gas. Strongest in the bathroom, but also could smell it throughout the room, even with the bathroom door closed. Other guests have commented on the smell (read reviews) but I figured it was a temporary issue. It is most likely just this room, or this style of room. It did dissipate over 12 hours or so, but this could be a deal breaker for some. My recommendation is that if you're just passing through for one night, the container rooms are ok, but if you'll be here for a few nights or more, try stretching your budget for one of the bungalows. I had one meal in the restaurant - serving size was appropriate and the food was tasty (stir fried pork with basil). The garden was beautifully laid out. The water in the pool was not the color it is supposed to be, so even though I arrived on a hot afternoon, I took a cool shower instead of a dip. Floating restaurant was no longer in use. Overall, the place is great in concept, but could really use a lot of maintenance. Cleaning, painting, removing algae from the fountain, and onward. I can only imagine how beautiful this place was when it was freshly built. I am willing to give hotels a fair bit of leeway as they recover from the lack of business during the covid period, especially in parts of the country like this where tourism has yet to ramp up to prior levels, but it's time for this hotel to get started on the tune-up.

We booked for 4 nights and we arrived and booked in. They showed us to our room which was effectively a metal box similar to a shipping container perched above the swimming pool. It looked interesting but it was very very small inside. Because of Thailand heat it has to be said it was stifling hot inside. It was unbearable. There was a small air conditioner mounted on the wall which we switched on full and waited 1/2 an hour. There was hardly any cold air coming out of it at all even in the lowest setting. We were both stifled with the heat. It was even worse in the small adjoining toilet/shower. It didn't smell clean we noted. Because of the lack of proper air conditioning we decided not to stay any longer as it was so uncomfortable locked in the small metal container room. We asked for our money back but we had to pay 900 TB for the night we didn't stay in. The Thai manager didn't accept that the air conditioner wasn't up to the job at all quoting me how many BTU's it was supposed to throw out. The fact was that the aircon didn't do the job of cooling the tin box room down making it very uncomfortable to be in. We tried the restaurant food before checking in and it was typical Thai Isaan cuisine which we liked and sitting on the pontoon by the Mun River was a nice experience eating our lunch. We would loved to have stayed and seen the beautiful sunsets here but the Accommodation simply wasn't up to scratch to be anywhere near the so called bedroom which was a effectively a tin box that held the heat equipped with a cheap ineffective aircon unit.
