This is a great hotel for people that are *not* concerned with getting a good night a sleep. Make sure you read the fine print. I’m sure it’s there somewhere, but I couldn’t even find it on their website, even after our stay. We stayed in the “Big Jawn” room. I feel that the proprietors failed to adequately disclose that the room we rented has a subway train which is literally 10 feet from your bedroom window and runs most of the day and night. The train made both of our bedrooms shake, every ten minutes, almost all night long. We got woken up by speeding trains every night, all night long, during our stay. Nobody in our group got a good night sleep as a result. I feel that the owners mask this attribute in a way that is dishonest. To be fair the venue offered me a discount and recommended alternate places to stay, but we did not take advantage of either option. Security: there was no way to lock the door to our “Jawn” from the inside. No chain, no deadbolt. Just a key pad. Anyone from the company that rents this property, or anyone who knows my cell phone # (so literally ANYONE) can enter the building and then enter your bedroom while you are inside sleeping, showering, or whatever. This is a big problem in my opinion. We had a child with us and did not feel that they property was secure. I didn’t inspire my confidence or allow for a restful nights sleep. But the train, wouldn’t allow that anyway. I don’t need fancy accents. I need a good nights sleep in a room that is secure. We wished we had stayed somewhere else for these reasons.
