Hotel Moderno

Very well maintained and clean hotel. Close to many of the most important attractions of Pisa and nearby the airport of Pisa. Also many restaurants in the neighborhood. Very friendly owners, nothing is too much to ask and always with a smile. This hotel is highly recommended

Arrived quite late, check was easy and quick, party didn't arrive at the same time and that wasn't a problem Wifi was fine, breakfast also fine, good coffee. Location was great, short walk to main station and old part of town. Walk to airport was only 20 mins, or take the new train.

Stayed here as I had a (very) early morning flight the next day. The hotel was easy to find, just a few minutes walk from Pisa Centrale train station. The people who run it were really genuinely friendly and helpful. I'd booked a room with ensuite bathroom which overlooked the railway line, it was a good test of the double glazing which I was pleased to find completely kept the outside sounds out. Some reviews suggest that the city centre is about a 25 minute walk, that's probably if you want to visit the Duomo and the Tower. There are plenty of restaurants and shops, including well known clothes stores, much closer. The room was basic (it's a 2 star hotel after all) but clean and comfortable, with aircon.

Our family of 5 stayed here for 3 nights, we were greeted kindly and given our room keys, all was well. All night the first night we were up with the noise of the trains.. so if you can I would ask for a room at the front as we didn’t realise this was an issue! Room was ok, cleanish, some hairs in the bathroom and red marks on the door, could of been blood 😅 The remote control was filthy in between the buttons. Breakfast was a drink of juice or coffee with pre-packed cakes and bread, not very filling for a day in Pisa. Hotel staff kept the door keys which we weren’t keen on but can understand incase they get lost. Always a friendly greeting when we arrived back and when we were leaving we could have left our luggage although it looked like there was no where safe to leave it and it would have been left by the stairs where anyone could have accessed them. Apart from the train lines right behind the hotel location wise it was ok, plenty of restaurants about, local supermarkets for snack, train station around the corner, Leaning Tower of Pisa 30 mins walk and the airport a 20 minute walk, saves 5 Euros a head on the pisamova. All in all the stay was fine, at the end of the day you don’t go places to spend time in the hotel room, it’s just somewhere to get your head down and that it is perfect - although more than one pillow would be nice!

We needed 1 night bed and breakfast when we found that all our luggage had been stolen from our locked rental car parked in PISA! We had to go to Rome to the British Embassy to get an emergency passport. The Airport information desk recommended this basic hotel. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Its about 7 min walk from the train station where we got a slow (4 hour) train to Rome the next day. Never leave your luggage in a parked car! Total for 2 was 78 euros with tax 25th May.

Alors certes, l'Hôtel Moderno n'est pas dans le meilleur quartier et les chambres sont assez classiques et surtout sans ascenseur et manque un peu d'entretien dans certains coins. Cependant, la chambre reste confortbale; la salle de bain est propre et surtout le petit déjeuner très bien pour le prix payé au total (vous pouvez demander un vrai capuccino !!) Le rapport qualité prix de l'hôte fait sa grande force!
