It's been 15 years since my last trip to Tenerife and the comments below are based on international five star hotel experiences around the globe.
So here's what I experienced on this reservation:-
Positives
1.Check in / out process fast and professional.
2.Direct beach access via the pool area.
3.Breakfast buffet with internal and external seating choices was excellent.
4.Evening entertainment between 21:00 and 23:00 Hrs was good.
Negatives
1. Allocated R3101 upon arrival and entered to find the bath tub was extremely dirty and required
solvent cleaning to remove large accumulation of water scale dirt around plug area (Approx 200mm
in dia).
Root cause of this problem is a leakage from the shower hose connection which remains to be fixed.
2. TV was on and could not be turned off. This was rectified by Maintenace changing the batteries within
the remote control.
3. Sink plunger mechanism was broken and I was shown how to remove the plug on a daily basis once
housekeeping cleaned the room.
4. Locking mechanism on the balcony sliding door is broken and extremely hard to open / closed.
5. Only one, yes one pool towel provided / guest at the pool via a plastic card that you are required to
exchange at the pool towel bar. If you forget this card it's a return trip to the room.
General Travel Tips.
1. Taxi from TFS Airport to hotel cost 25 Euro each way.
2. Hard Rock Cafe located next door (£££).
3. Great Italian, Thai, Japanese and British restaurants located on the second floor off
the shopping complex across the road from the hotel (££££)

Самое отличное в отеле -это его месторасположение и сотрудники , всегда готовые прийти на помощь. Ну и конечно Завтраки супер . Пляж муницыпальный в 1 минуте ходьбы , каждое утро частят. Шезлонги 6 евро один , от зонтиков пользы ноль , если только сумку повесить . Сам же отель даже на 4 звезды не тянет . Может лет 20 назад и был 5 , но не сейчас. Но хорошая новость, в январе 2023 г закрывается на ремонт , можно надеяться вернуться в обновлённый отель.

First time staying here and was recommended by my partners son who had stayed here before. The hotel has been renovated to a superb standard. All the staff are lovely and nothing is to much trouble. We just stayed Bed@Breakfast as that's all we needed. Great selection at breakfast,every food source known to man. Room was lovely,loads of space to store and hang ur clothes,shower was excellent. It was our first time visiting Tenerife but we will be back and staying here again

We've been to the Mediterranean Palace for many years so was eager to see how it had improved after the renovation. We arrived at midday and a room was available straight away, floor 2 central location overlooking the pool & sea, room 2051. The room was lovely, safe, fridge & kettle, tea and coffee provided. Plenty of storage. Bathroom was amazing with a walk in rain shower. The room did overlook the outdoor evening entertainment which was loud , this didn't bother us as we went out every night and had finished by the time we returned. Pool area was busy but plenty of sun loungers, not sure why people need to put towels out at 7am in the dark however we did sit round the pool at the Cleopatra as it was less busy. Ate at both snack bars on site, value for money but limited choice just for lunch, ended up walking into the shopping centre for a freshly made baguette, as the on site shop didn't offer any. Plenty of choice for breakfast & evening meal, however they didn't serve many vegetables on an evening but plenty of carrots and peas available at breakfast . Communal areas were lovely and good to see people sitting around & using them, Sports bar doesn't open until November but it looked lovely. All staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. Overall glad I returned and would holiday here again.

We’re here until 4th October. I’m mystified about the poor reviews. This is a smart modern, clean hotel. Well appointed bedrooms with VERY comfortable beds, lovely big pool and an excellent location on the Golden Mile. We’ve stayed at other 5 star hotels in Costa Adeje & I think this compares favourably.

Had a lovely time in Tenerife This hotel is fantastic and spotless Wonderful location everything is on your doorstep Fantastic pool area no problem getting a sun bed, free towels I'm sorry to say the one thing that lets this hotel down is the standard of food that is available it's simply not up to the standard of food that you would expect from a 5 star hotel so bad in fact that out of our 10 night stay we only ate twice in the restaurant at night and my wife only went for breakfast on one occasion I myself went for breakfast and the only thing that was palatable was the omelette, served by a very friendly young lady called Alejandro Attoro, The hotel did offer use the use of a courtesy room after we checked out as we had a late flight home for which we were greatful,so to summarise Great Hotel Great Location Great Poolside area Terrible food Yes I would recommend this hotel but only on a bed and breakfast ,as there are plenty of restaurants and fast food shops close at hand Finally if you have children and are looking for juice and other bits and pieces I would recommend using the shops set back up from the main ***** as you will find it about a third cheaper ENJOY LIFE IT'S TOO SHORT

We booked to stay in the med as we have stayed there so many times before and couldnt wait to see the new med but after a day of being there we transferred over to the Cleopatra (with the help from Deli). I am not a nit picker and always do honest reviews which this will be. Pool Where we sat, the white plasticcovering over the overflow kept lifting and breaking up this caused 2 people to slip and fall, one even cut his leg and even though there are 2 life guards on neither saw this (maybe they need to be more observent), the lady that fell reported it to them and he just came over and pushed it back into place with his bad foot but 5 mins later it happened again. Someone complaned at reception and maintenance came and clipped it back in but it didnt last. Due to this i didnt go in again as didnt want to gall myself. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Music round the pool. People are right there is no music but when the activties start well it is deafening and as for the evening entertainment that is a joke unless all the guests are deaf then there is no reason for it to be that loud, like i said we transferred over to the cleopatra and even then it was too loud to sleep till it stopped, god knows what it is like to sleep at the med. Lastly, if you fly jet2 you wont be dropped off at the med, we thought our driver had forgot to stop but no we had to be dropped at the family garden hotel which is further up the road, when i queried it with Amanda the rep she said the spanish law wont let them drop off there but i know when we use to come we were dropped and picked up just outside on the street. The hotel itself was lovely and fresh looking, even though paint is chipping but thats the guests being disrespectful and the bed was comfortable. For me there were too many cons to the pros and hence our transferring. There was more believe me but if i go on youll stop reading. If Med sort these few issuses out ( especially the pool area) then would come and try again as we always love it there

Beautiful hotel would recommend!! Food delicious and staff so helpful honestly this hotel blew me away. Rooms ate lovely and comfy. Staff cannot do enough for you. I recommend seeing the history show next door too. Just brilliant. Didn't want to leave
