Hotel Playa Del Carmen dengan Gim

Location is great. Checkin was easy. Rooms are spacious with a little kitchenette (stove cooktop & microwave) but there’s no dishes or utensils to cook. Decent coffee/tea setup. Nice robes. Medium sized fridge with freezer section. City view rooms do not have balconies and face street with view of ice cream shop and laundromat. Pool is warm & pool towels available. 1 block from the busy street and 2 blocks from beach. There’s a bar with a pool table, foosball, and darts where happy hour was offered for an hour daily. BREAKFAST WAS NOT WORTH WAKING EARLY FOR. Very limited options and was cold. Also after checking our reservation at the breakfast restaurant they were insisting we pay for it when we paid for it with the reservation. Also felt the breakfast staff were a bit rude when I tried asking for details on the station others were lining up for reminding me of things that were included or not.

Todo estuvo muy bien, las instalaciones son un poco antiguas sin embargo de buen tamaño, de sugerencias sería que agregaran un secador de cabello en las habitaciones y que cambiaran las toallas ya que durante nuestra estancia no nos cambiaron las toallas ni una vez.

This was our second vacation trip to the Xcaret Mexico hotel. We really enjoyed the ”ALL fun inclusive” experience, with exclusive transportation and access to ALL Xcaret group parks. We were a family group of 5 rooms, with combination of adults, and adults/children in several of the rooms/suites. We had two concierge services representatives (K.C. and Laura), and they were very attentive and accommodating to our needs, requiring two suite changes to better suit our needs. They also helped us with the restaurants' and parks' reservations (for those which required it), and also with the wheel chair arrangements for my mother-in-law. The restaurants are big, and even though the hotel was fully occupied, we did not feel crowded or had to make lines to enter the restaurants. A most do is the Sunday brunch at the ”Las Cuevas” restaurant. Their meat and seafood offerings were way above what I was expecting, with even a Tuna processing experience made by the chef, ending in a delicious Tuna tartar appetizer. My wife is FULLY vegan (I am not), and we went to their vegan restaurant ”Bio”, and were able to taste almost ALL of their breakfast and lunch menu offerings, with every one having its own palate pleasing taste. Add to that their freshly pressed juices shots, and specialty frozen shakes. By the third day, Xiomara greeted us by our names, and waiter Edgar had known what we already tasted, and ”took care” of us. Kudos to both of them, for understanding and living a true ”costumer service”. This hotel is so well designed, that even there were live bands throughout the lobby and infinity pool areas, the volume was not overwhelming, and you can relax at another area, without it bothering you. Each restaurant had some special drinks, which you can enjoy, so make sure you ask the waiter for the ”special cocktail” of the day. We witnessed two ”destination weddings”, and the open area activities did no interfere with our time to enjoy the hotel amenities, so thank you for that. We even enjoyed another ”shot” of ”free” mariachi's songs while walking near them. On Sunday, we were able to enjoy catholic Sunday mass at the Xpiral chapel. All in all, my family and us had a blast, with ”not enough time” reviews from each and every one of them. We plan on coming back and visit some of the park attractions we did not have time to try, as well as enjoy again the amenities this hotel has to offer its guests. The weather was hot and humid, as it has been in every place in the world at this latitute. Be prepared and drink lots of water! ¡Muchas gracias por poner sus corazones al servicio de sus huéspedes! (”Thanks for putting your hearts into your guests services”).

Oasis kecil Surberb yang tenang beberapa blok dari kegilaan 5th Ave. Kolam renang yang cantik dan kerusi gantung, bar kecil yang comel, bilik penghawa dingin yang luas dan sarapan pagi yang lazat dihidangkan sehingga jam 11 pagi, yang merupakan satu bonus.

Service at reception/ lobby is fantastic, helpful and friendly. Also at the pool, staff tries to do their best as many people order and I think they need more staff to service everyone. However, at the restaurant ‘La cocina’ for breakfast as well as Dinner at the Sushi restaurant: service was pretty slow, even some dishes were forgotten and we had cancelled, some food arrived cold — needs to improve the table service. I didn’t appreciate that most of the weekly activities scheduled needed extra $. Need proper beach place to walk along. Is fun they have an arcade for extra entertainment.

The room is a little small but it was very clean.

The hotel looks nice, but is very noisy. Specially during mornings when you are sleeping. The restaurant on first floor starts working from 6:30 am and walls are very thin. So you hear lots of noise and hard to sleep well. But still they have good promotions for free messages and other stuff. I recommend getting a room on 3rd floor to have least noise.

Good size bed room and good location

My wife and I came to Mahekal for our honeymoon in August 2024. To be blunt, we were extremely underwhelmed. To start, we reserved the ocean front palapa over a year in advance, noting it was our honeymoon. However, we were placed in room 36. Mahekal claims this is an oceanfront palapa. It is not. It is an oceanfront room connected to multiple other rooms. Although you get the private plunge pool, there are no vaulted ceilings and it is much smaller than the other palapas. To make matters worse, it is directly next to a VERY loud club. Our first night we were up until 4/5am due to music and noise. I should note that we are 28 years old and typically have no trouble with a little noise. When we voiced all of our concerns in the morning, we were told there was nothing that could be done. After arguing with management for the entire morning, we were eventually moved to Room 5. Room 5 is an actual ocean front palapa. However, you should know that the beach is public and people tend to set up directly infront of your palapa order to get shade. People bring tables, chairs, coolers and very loud speakers. People will also stay out there until 2/3am. Although we finally received the correct room, our air conditioning broke within a few hours. We were then moved to a smaller room with no ocean view for the night. Laughably, we were given a room with two queen beds - ON OUR HONEYMOON! The next day, the air was repaired and we were moved back to Room 5. We were happy to be in our room after two awful days. When speaking with the front desk, we were promised a free night stay due to the inconvenience. Overall, the resort was okay. Relatively average food, nothing special. There were tons of bugs - we left with a millions bites on our legs and back. We even used extra strength bug spray but that did not help. The cherry on top was check out. Despite being told we will receive a free night stay, we were now being told that they had no record of it, and that it should have been done prior to checkout. Instead, they offered to comp our laundry service ($30 USD LOL). We argued for almost 20 minutes before having to leave for the airport. Ultimately, they took all of our information and said we will receive the Free Night via email. Well, it is now almost three months since we left Mahekal and we have not received the Free Night. Despite NUMEROUS calls, we are always told that they are looking into it and we should be getting it soon. After several more attempts, I messaged Mahekal on instagram. I was told they have no record of this, and that they spoke to everyone at the front desk. My point of contact, Allan from concierge, was helpful in the beginning but has since been avoiding my calls. The only way I can actually get a hold of him is if I provide a fake name to the front desk. AVOID THIS RESORT AT ALL COSTS. Just stayed in one of the units for 5 n ights. Have travelled extensively adn this definitely ranks as one of the best places I have stayed. Only a 30-45 min ride from Cancun airport. Can arrange transpo ahead time right through the condo/hotel. The check in was seamless--ladies at front desk so friendly,professional,courteous. The entire staff for that matter is kind,helpful, will help get you whatever you want or need. Erick was always super helpful!!! The facilities are lush,green, decorated beautifully, great breeze form the water. The place is immaculate. Pools are great-clean, beautiful hot tub w built in seats facing the ocean is a nice touch! Some of the units have their own hot tubs. I was so pleasantly surprised by all the amenities like coffee grounds, paper products, water form the dispenser etc- amenities not usually included when I have rented condos . Looved being able to get day passes to the local gym and enjoy yoga, bootcamp etc. Location is perfect. Right on the beach. Sargassum was bad some days but hotels on beach trying really hard to keep it cleaned up-not their fault, problem all along the coasts,even Florida getting hit hard w it. I loved that Taj has its own nice little private beach area, comfy chairs w umbrellas complementary, cute restaurant on beach. Few minute walk north of us is Mamitas Beach and another beach just to south of us, also wlaking,if you want more aciton. Few block walk to 5th ave w all it's shops,restaurants,music.,nightclubs. Loved it so much I already booked a room here for an upcoming trip.
