Palais de Mahe - a CGH Earth Experience

房間很大，泳池也夠美，早餐很豐盛，夠新鮮和營養。就是地處中心區，隔壁又在裝修。想要安靜的人可能會失望。不過前台允許提前一天退房，多次溝通後收到退款，贊！

We were three adults and two children staying for two nights at this lovely hotel in the French part . The hotel is a new build but a replication of the adjoining historic French building. Small with only 18 rooms , large rooms with simple and modern bathrooms with showers and a tub . We preferred the ground floor rooms which were very quiet and faced a lap pool with a lovely long corridor leading upto the reception . The staff are very friendly and always ready to assist with any advice on sightseeing , restaurant recommendations etc . The entire place is spotlessly clean and although the streets of Puducherry are appallingly busy and crowded, this hotel opens out to a relatively cleaner road ! The street is one of the three that still have vestiges of French architecture and some interesting clothing boutiques around the corners of Rue Roman Rolland . Check them out ! The breakfast is served on the terrace cafe with daily options . A happy spread of choices of eggs , fruits and South Indian cuisine. The dinner at the restaurant was delicious with local sea food specialities . Clearly the best meal we had during our visit as we went to the other highly recommended restaurants as well . It’s a quiet place , calm and a soothing atmosphere.

Stayed here for a short break for 2n in the chambre deluxe in jan 24. The location is excellent, pretty much walking to most places in the white town part of pondicherry and right next to the promenade. The room was very spacious and the beds comfortable. Really loved the breakfast, they had an excellent spread of dishes and we wanted to have a lot more than we could digest :) The staff were helpful and gave us some helpful tips to move around. The exterior facade is itself one of the highlights of the town.

Beautiful heritage property with excellent customer service. Location is beautiful, a stones throw from the Ocean and with many dining options at walkable distance.

An interesting, half-restored French Colonial hotel. The staff were wonderful, helpful and cheerful. Room was OK, though rather dark, except that we were eaten alive by mosquitoes during the night. (this seemed to happen to everyone on the ground floor, pool level.) Food was nice, excellent chicken & mango curry for dinner. Breakfast was a bit more confused as most things needed to be ordered from the kitchen. Overall, pleasant.

A boutique property right in the middle of the French Quarter. Nice pool. Decent food. Friendly. Big room. Has a good spa — not fancy but great treatments. If you seek a quiet, high end hotel in Pondicherry, this is your place. Starbucks is next door….

Palais de mahe is like a ritual, it calls you back .. again and again and again. We are regulars but still, there is something new and better every time. This time it was the expanded breakfast menu. Our trip in February was after a hiatus of 8 months, there was some new staff hence. It is a given however for the staff to have a broad smile on their face and be courteous to a fault Over a 3 day stay, we had all our meals were at the restaurant as were all drinks. Lip smacking Fare at a proposition that is luxury but still value for money. When we were leaving, the car had starting problems. We figured that getting it fixed at pondy was wiser. The hotel front desk made a few phone call and viola we had a mechanic who came over and did the necessary repairs .. and all this time we were in comfortable luxury at the restaurant Can’t wait to go back

We had a family reunion last month in Palais de Mahe. It was a wonderful place with exceptional service. We stayed for two nights and the staff were all friendly and smiling . The food was really good and they all sang for my uncle's birthday cake cutting at dinner. It was a nice experience.

Property has no phone network…staff is saying informed to management but nothing is done and water leakages and mosquitoes in property….not even a heritage property…will not recommend at the prices of 26000 per night…the property is having only good location.
