Mo House

We had missed a flight and arrived at Mo House a day late , stressed and tired. We were so pleased when we walked into Mo House and were greeted by a staff member who brought us to our room and explained the comforts of the hotel and sights to see in Porto. The historical feel of the hotel wraps its arms around you and surrounds you with charm and grace. It is also located very centrally and you can explore the city easily on foot. Our only regret is that we had to miss one of our nights there. The room is well equipped and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend

What a wonderful experience we had during our stay at Mo House! From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found something special. The transfer we arranged through Mo House from Porto Airport brought us to a narrow, busy street. But as soon as Diana or Sebastian opens the door for you, you step into an oasis of tranquility and beauty. Mo House is lovingly and thoughtfully decorated, exuding a serene calm. Our first night we stayed in room 3, a beautiful room with a view over the Douro, first floor. The following two nights we stayed in the equally stunning room 7, third floor with an even wider view of the Douro. It was delightful to wake up in the morning, open the shutters, and enjoy the breathtaking view of the river, and in the evening, relax with a drink while admiring the city lights. The rooms are spotless and the beds are wonderfully comfortable. Breakfast, served between 8:00 and 11:00 am, is a treat with homemade products, delicious jams, cake, and of course, pastéis de nata. Additionally, you can order eggs à la carte, which is a nice extra touch. Despite its location in the heart of the old, busy center, you don't notice the hustle and bustle once you're inside. Thanks to the hospitality and great care of Diana and Sebastian, we felt completely at home. We can't wait to return to Mo House. Thank you

Charming historical apartment building that has been converted into a small boutique. We had the most enjoyable stay. So nicely appointed and charming in every possible way. Our room on one of the top floors, bright, clean and stylish. Elevator works great for hauling luggage. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic! Lovely stay!!

We stayed here for just one night at the end of our trip. We had three twin beds on the top floor and a double on the main floor. It was so charming we wished we could have spent more time here ! Highly recommend if you’re looking for something of a hidden gem.

Our group of 15 friends reserved all 9 rooms at the Mo House for 4 nights. Starting with the trip planning of almost a year, the highlights were: Amazing assistance from the front desk staff by Sebastian and Ze - Mo House hotel reservations plus arranging all the airport and train station transfers, plus restaurant recommendations, and any assistance the group needed. The gracious welcome by one of the owners - Diana. The friendliness and amazing fresh breakfasts prepared each morning by the Mo House staff. The rooms were serviced and kept spotless by the housekeeping staff. Use of the common breakfast area each evening for Happy Hour with wine glasses set out for the group. The central location of the Mo House with easy walking distance to wine shops, restaurants, bars, shopping - is very desirable. All of the group commented on how nice the stay was! Thank you Diana and your team for making our stay very memorable!

This review is very late but we haven’t forgotten our stay earlier this year. It’s also a bit unnecessary since we are simply going to add to the wonderful reviews this hotel already receives. But it is important to acknowledge and thank such a great little establishment. We loved the romance of the hotel and our room with its glorious views over the city and river, we loved the exquisitely prepared breakfasts, and we appreciated the friendliness of the staff at our first hotel in Portugal. Book if you can get in!
