Hotel 2 Bintang di Porto

Incredible hostel with great bunks, lockers, a wonderful space to relax and a really great breakfast. This was the perfect way to begin my Camino! They have a bar and game night. Bathrooms are clean. Only downside is the kitchen is locked overnight so you can't get in before 8 but plan to stay for the included breakfast. It is the best breakfast on the Camino!

Eu e o meu marido estivemos hospedados no Istay Hotel Porto Centro e posso dizer que o pequeno almoço,o staff do Hotel e o quarto superaram as nossas expetativas, é um hotel adequado para aquelas pessoas que não querem gastar muito, mas que querem ter algo à sua medida e a limpeza bem como o conforto nada a apontar. Uma sugestão: adicionar panquecas ou bacon/ovo mexido no pequeno almoço e adicionar mais variedade de frutas. A única coisa que devia melhorar era a internet nos quartos, visto que infelizmente tivemos de sempre de usar os dados móveis, e o sinal não era muito bom. A 30 minuti a piedi dalla stazione Porto TIC Campana e a 12 da quella di Porto Sao Bento, posizione buona, vicino al centro, poca confusione. Ottima esperienza, tutto perfetto, letto comodo, acqua calda nella doccia, bagni puliti (uno nella stanza e uno appena fuori), servizio gentile e disponibilissimo, mi hanno spiegato tutto all'arrivo e sono stati flessibili sia per check in che per check out. Approvato.

Hotel was probably about 0.5ml from Marques metro stop. No issues on arrival slightly earlier than official check-in and allocated room on third floor. Room was reasonable size, clean, but with limited storage facilities and no safe. Twin beds were basic and not overly comfy but acceptable. Shower was like turning on a tap (no spray) and bathroom became very hot as internal and contained hot water cylinder. Towels were not changed but left to dry for re-use so trying to reduce energy use. Breakfast was reasonable, had to ask for cold milk for cereal as only hot provided. Rest was rolls, ham, cheese and jams. Coffee was a bit stewed and strong with fruit juice available. Check out straightforward with bill as expected, and able to leave luggage for later collection. No close by restaurants found for evening meal but several cafe's for snacks in the area.

This is an oddly located hotel. I do not refer to the actual geographical location which is actually good for visiting Porto, being basically beside a metro stop. However, its positioning in a shopping centre makes it a bit odd to understand how to get into it, especially parking. We did manage to get there but to understand how to get into it after the time the shopping centre shuts was not helped by the receptionist who I would say was far from welcoming at all. We just parked in the shopping centre car park and paid the fees to avoid having to ask this person again. The rooms were fine in an ibis way. The lift was out of order at one point but seemed to return to service soon enough.

Tres días en Septiembre 2022. Lo único que le salva es la cercanía a los lugares emblemáticos de Oporto. No es mala opción si se busca lo económico; pero ésta sale muy cara. Un bufete en el desayuno escaso, aguado.....Un café decepcionante. Al preguntar sobre otros productos como son huevos revueltos, bacon, salchichas.....me contestaron que estos están fuera de carta. La terraza que forma parte del espacio de la habitación, lleva mucho tiempo sin limpiarse. Del cuarto de baño ni comento. ”...........................................................................................................” Concuerda más con hotel de una ”*”

This place is of great value and superb service. Stayed for two nights. Jessica, from front desk, the staff helping with breakfast, basically everyone delivered a spectacular service. I was impressed with quality of service, cleanliness, and value for the money. Definitely I will be at this hotel whenever back in Porto.

Wonderful hotel centrally located walking distance to everywhere. I really wanted to write this review to personally say Thank you to the wonderful lady who checked us in At the hotel and who demonstrated kindness to my situation after an emergency dental appointment by offering an ice pack to help with reducing the swelling. The staff here are first class and extremely professional!! The breakfast options were healthy and plentiful. Thank you so much was a really great stay. Highly recommend.

The location are good but room and bathroom are dirty. Staff are so so sweety but people who clean it should improve. It seems they dont clean. Price isnt so good, expensive for what they offer and it isnt all beds have curtains.Lot of young people shut the doors at night so suggestion here have cushioning on the doors. * A localização é boa, mas o quarto e o banheiro são sujos. A equipe é simpatica, mas as pessoas que limpam devem melhorar. Parece que eles não limpam. O preço não é tão bom, caro para o que eles oferecem e nem todas as camas têm cortinas. Muitos jovens batendo as portas à noite, então a sugestão aqui é colocar amortecedor nas portas.

Everyone from the staff, to the other travellers were so welcoming and super. The hostel was always clean, and even had maids who came and made the beds, mopped, cleaned bathrooms etc. I stayed in an 8 bed mixed dorm, had no faults with my stay. Loved the onsite bar, and breakfast also being included. The staff were very welcoming, would highly recommend.
