Great hotel. We stayed 4 nights. Good location. Ten minute walk (down the hill) takes you to the river. Hotel and room were very clean. Good air conditioning in room and large bathroom with good shower. Only criticism is there was no wall mirror at the desk in the bedroom if you wanted to do your make up or dry your hair. There was a full length mirror on the inner side of one of the wardrobe doors. The hairdryer in the bathroom supplied by the hotel was very good - personally I just don’t like bathroom hairdryers. Lots of choice at breakfast. Hot food not so hot but asked for freshly cooked eggs which were supplied quickly. Close to bars and restaurants. Would recommend

This lovely guesthouse is in a perfect location in Porto right near the river and handy to lots of cafes and restaurants. The staff are what makes this place. Luis, Philip, Ogle and Luisa. They are all wonderful, but we mostly spent our breakfasts with Luis and it was always lovely chatting to him. We enjoyed the beautifully prepared daily breakfast - the nicest fruit platter ever each day and you could also order eggs the day before and the omelettes were delicious too! I miss seeing Luis' cheery face at breakfast now we are home - no fruit platter, juice, eggs waiting for us when we get out of bed! Porto is a lovely city. The people are genuinely nice. Tips for eating - the restaurants on the river charge about twice the price than the ones up the hill or across the river in Gaia, naturally because you have a very nice view. If you walkup the hill to R Das Floras there are some nice restaurants up there, and in that general vicinity. They have some nice cocktails in Porto - one using Port and Tonic and one using Limoncello and Tonic. Nice with ice and fresh slice or orange or lemon. We would definitely stay at this property again. Highly recommend.

Lovely Hotel. Stayed on the 2nd floor in adjoining rooms (as there were 4 of us) and it was right above the square so everynight we had music below us and it was delightful. The music finished around 10 or so; it did not bother our sleep and we also left the door open a little to hear the music as well as fresh air. The hotel as a nice breakfast in the morning (Portugese style) and it is extra but has a good selection of items plus mimosas The hotel is close to the train station, restaurants, and nightlife. Dinner in Porto is late (not until 7 or so) and nightlife starts late. Hotel is Within walking distance to a number of things to see although it is cobblestone, rough and uphill/downhill all the time. Staff was professional and very helpful. Really enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay again if ever in Porto.

The first main reason to stay at this hotel was to see Luis bridge directly. Super close to river within 50 steps from hotel and easy to see bridge. But the hotel room had 2 major defects. The first one was drain system at shower booth did not work well. whenever i took shower, the water did not drain well and it was about to overflow and flood over shower booth. The second one was my room was at top of the building where i could enjoy the sky through the window. But the problem was that the window did not close firmly. Overall, everything was perfect like location, friendly staff except 1 woman at front desk whose behavior did look so angry all the time. Of course i can understand why that hotel's facilities were not in good condition because the building was totally old. Breakfast was very nice to enjoy. Before i stay in Porto, i had stayed 3 nights at Holiday inn in Lisbon. Comparing with 2 hotels each other in terms of breakfast, this hotel seemed to be better. Next time, if i should travel in Porto, i would find another hotel except this one due to those defects i've mentioned above.

Loved staying at this hotel. Upon arrival staff was enthusiastic to greet us and give essential information to enjoy our stay in Porto. We were recommended to a restaurant called O Fado which was local cuisine with traditional local music,Fado Rooftop views of bridge and river. Charming area. Tram is accessible right outside. Great breakfast.
