We have stayed at this hotel twice because we were very satisfied here. This time we were here with our friends from August 11, 2024, to August 15, 2024. Upon arrival at the hotel, the very friendly staff gave us two beautiful rooms on the 6th floor, next to each other. The reception staff speaks several languages, so we communicated easily, even as Slovaks. Our rooms had an amazing view of the sea and the entire city of Portorož. The hotel has a great location, even though it is a bit older. The rooms are clean, fragrant, and cleaned daily. The hotel has a wellness center with both indoor and outdoor pools, as well as a beach pool. We also had free access to sun umbrellas and loungers. As part of our stay, we had half board. The food was excellent. There were always abundant and tasty breakfasts and dinners. The hotel staff is very friendly and always willing to help. There is nothing to criticize about the hotel or the staff. Overall, we rate our stay very highly and would love to return here again.

Right at the door, one of the hotel employee helped us with everything needed to know to and let us not worrying since the day one. The staff were amazing through 10 day stay which gives another highlight of the vacation. The hotel was clean and the food was really good. An excellent choice.

The hotel is perfect...expiriance with 5 stars.Hotel has a lot of content and all staff is very frendly and cind.Special expirance is a kitchen...food is amazing,the kitchen staff are fantastic,top....Portoroz is a city of very kind people ,lot of stores,restorants and Metropol hotel is a best what that city offer,my recomendation for everyone 😃

This is not a 5-star hotel. They have the potential to be 5 stars, since the facilities are fabulous. Our room was very nice looking with a great view to the hills and to the sea. The “park view” is an understatement, it was a beautiful hillside view. Also the large outdoor pool is fantastic and the breakfast terrace also offers fabulous views to the garden and to the sea. But all this goes to waste, because the staff doesn’t care to make an effort. The breakfast food was leathery and there were no sweets or pastries to have with your coffee. This was a first time with such a poor selection and quality in a 5 star hotel. There is no concierge service, you have to carry your own bags to the room, in a 5 star hotel. The staff was ignorant and rude; they kept asking constantly if we are guests of this hotel. As if we were not good enough to be guests of this hotel so they had to keep snobbishly asking about it all the time. There is no room service in this hotel whatsoever. When we wanted our clothes washed, we call the reception to have somebody pick it up from our room and it will be returned the next day before 18.00 like they promise in the room’s laundry info leaflet. When we called, the receptionist responded by saying it is already late (19.00), so could we bring the laundry to the reception by ourselves. Then the next day, when by 21.00, the laundry bag still had not been returned to our room, we went to the reception to ask about it. It tuns out the bag is there forgotten. The receptionist told us we have to take it to the room by ourselves, as she cannot send anybody to bring it to us and she cannot leave the reception herself. We cannot believe this amount of self-service one has to endure in a 5 star hotel. The reception staff didn’t bother to give us the towel card at the arrival or inform us that we need one when we go to the large outdoor pool. So when we went to the pool, the poolboy informed us that we need the towel card and should walk all the way back up to the huge hill to the hotel reception to get it. It’s ridiculous that they make customers run around like this. The pools are only open till 19.00, which is really odd in a 5 star hotel. There is no reason why they can’t be open till 21 or 22 like in many other hotels, many guests would love to swim and relax in the evening when it’s not so hot anymore. Then the pool staff started shutting down the outdoor pool umbrellas and chairs already at 18.00, even though guests were still using those. The jacuzzi was turned off already at 18.00, even though it was supposed to be open till 19.00. And the employee at the pool refused to turn it back on and claimed they were all in “maintenance”, even though they had water in them. So clearly there was maintenance, just ignorance towards his job. We have paid for the jacuzzi and we want to use it during our stay. You shouldn’t do “maintenance” on all the 3 jacuzzis you have at the same time, so the guests can enjoy at least o

The best hotel ever!! New and Glamorous ! Excellent staff. Large clean rooms. Amazing breakfast & dinner buffets with waterfront views. Has several bar areas with amazing views. Will definitely return.

It is not a five store. We booked a superior seaview room. You can see it. Totally crazy. They dod not want to change the room and did not want back the money. And the door are dirty. Nobody is in the hotel

The hotel does not deserve mention as it does not meet any of the criteria of a two star hotel. The food is bad and tasteless, the service is very, very poor, the receptionists are not up to their job. Unfriendly and avoid this hotel from afar !!!

The hotel rooms are clean and big, bathrooms are nice. Beds are squeeking, hotel guests have to park in public parking garage and pay 20€ per day. If you like to order food in room, don't try with QR code in room, because that don't work. Staff is helpfull and nice. If you use glasess in room, don't expect that the cleaning lady will wash it. Mini bar in the rooom was empty (you have to ask for mini bar in 5* hotel), neither barhrobe nor slippers were available (we also have to ask for them), TV was not in the function. The hotel has no outdoor swimming pool as it claims on its website. The available swimming pool is across the street.

This was my sixth and probably my last visit, since a lot of things has changed since than. Even during our last stay (May 2019) we noticed that the spa area hasn’t been renovated for a decade (since the hotel was acquried by Remisens), and we specifically ask the reception staff shall this area (indoor swiming pool and whirlpool) be operated during our stay. We were told (not to mention that we were waited 24h for reply) that the swiming pool is opened and ‘at least one of the whirlpool is goign to be available for use’. Today, it’ s our fourth day, the swimming pool is closed two day in a row without explanation of prior notice. The reception staff is not answering the calls, overloaded with daily claims. There is a plenty of reasons, I will mention just a few. Although, check-in time is 3p.m. I was waiting for the room till 4.45p.m. Mini bar in the rooom was empty (you have to ask for mini bar in 5* hotel), neither barhrobe nor slippers were available (we also have to ask for them), TV was not in the function, the cleaning lady took all the glassses after the cleaining including some private bellonging (spoon), since she obviosly does not have any guidance from her superior/hotel management. Not to mention that it is afternoon (1pm), and that daily room cleaning is not done yet?! Breakfast and dinner are much, much worse that during our previous stay, if you come after 10 a.m. you should obviously feel lucky if you find anything to eat. Not 5* star hotel experience, not even close to Grand Metropol hotel service we used to like. Poor, poor experince, a lot of stress is put on the staff, since it seems that no one is sure what and how the things should be done. Speaking about staff, the only shining stars in this extremly dissapointing experiance are two young concierges, in charge for all small inconveniences such as safe deposit fix, Tv etc. Great attitude, very polite, but unfortunately not enough for all the inconveniences we are facing during our stay. Dear Metropol management, you have just lost premium from you tittle, unless you change your client experince you will lose much more: your reputation, which was built for decades now. Abbiamo alloggiato solo una notte, con upgrade gratuito in questa struttura 5 stelle...corpo centrale è l'albergo, con ****** annesso e poi ci sono le palazzine autonome che fanno sempre parte della catena alberghiera.Camera al 6° piano con terrazzo vista mare, grandissima ,pulita e funzionale. Frigobar complimentare la prima fornitura ! Letto comodissimo. Bagno molto grande , e sala colazione ben fornita con sala InterContinentale. Cena buffet a prezzo fisso di 24 euro a persona. Varia , Ben fornita e gustosa. Idromassaggio ovviamente chiuso per via del caldo, disponibilità di piscina interna , 2 piccolissime esterne, ed una posizionata sul lungomare a pochi metri giù dalla struttura. Receptionist molto professionale e gentile, Per friendly E garage gratuito .Torneremo sicuramente Non mi è piaciuto la mochette,C'era uno strano odore . Anche se era molto pulito , forse qualche prodotto usato per pulirla..che ho segnalato alla reception. Arredi un po' datati.

Mia moglie e io abbiamo trascorso 3 gg in questo albergo devo dire molto bello camera al 6° piano, vista tutta Portorose a dir poco spettacolare. Camera molto bella e pulita. Servizi di piscine e SPA ottime. Personale gentile e premuroso. Buon prezzo e Casinò adiacente. Siamo stati molto contenti peccato che x l' ultimo dell' anno sia tutto pieno ma non mancherà occasione di ritornarci perchè siamo stati benissimo.

Hotel molto confortevole, camera (era la "base") molto ampia con frigobar open. Molto tranquilla con letto king size molto comodo. Grandw piscina coperta con acqua marina a disposizione, ben riscaldata; e poi la spa (niente costume, ma al solito gli italiani facevano quello che volevano) con sauna, bagno turco e zona relax. Non abbiamo cenato in hotel, visto i tanti ristoranti in zona; la colazione è sontuosa con un po' di fatica sul tema delle intolleranzealimentari! In reception parlano bene italiano; posto auto gratuito nel parcheggio sotterraneo adiacente. Vista la stagione non abbiamo potuto usufruire degli spazi esterni. Comunque un cinque stelle a prezzi molto competitivi. Consigliato.
