L'Hirondelle Self Catering Guest House

Really well functioning guest house. Super practical with the kitchen, fridge, freezer etc. We had a room with a good size balcony overlooking the beach and the sea, and it was wonderful and shady all day. Staff is really nice, although we were a bit overwhelmed when they came in and actually cooked the breakfast we had ordered 😉 It is very easy to rent a car - just ask in the reception. On a few occasions there was no hot water, uncertain why - We went on a boat tour as recommended by the hotel, but we could not go everywhere promised due to the season, and they should have told us that beforehand, as they never go snorkeling at Île St Pierre at this time of year. Hotel should have let us know beforehand! Thus, 4 instead of 5 TripAdvisor stars for withholding that information!

I had a really comfortable stay here, veranda is spacious where the sea view is fantastic (rm 7), apartment is a good size and really clean. There’s a security guard at night. Theres a lot of attention to detail like providing oil, salt and tea/coffee, which many self catering places don't but makes a big difference! Also things like providing wet towels on arrival (to cool yourself in the heat) and an umbrella in the room. There’s parking on the property, they arranged car hire for me. The location is perfect! 5 mins from the jetty, well placed to explore the island, there’s a bus stop just outside and it’s opposite one of the best beaches on the island (in that season). Also its a minute from the village but far enough from hubbub of the village. They provide beach towels and there’s plenty of tree cover. Disliked · The proprietor wasn't my fav person I met in Seychelles, professional and friendly but I found her manner a bit stern. Maggi is awesome, she helped me out with an issue. Their taxi driver Robert charged me just under £20 for the 5 min journey from the jetty, I managed to get a return taxi for cheaper. You can get the bus to and from the jetty but not sure if you can take luggage on it

We had a lovely 4 night stay here in April 2023. The staff were all lovely, including the receptionist, the lady who cooked us breakfast and the evening security guard. Our sea view apartment had a beautiful balcony with good quality furniture. Inside, we loved the bedroom area set on a different level to the rest of the apartment - the four poster bed was lovely. The kitchen is really well equipped and it was great to get some water and welcome drinks on arrival. The only thing that could do with improvement is the shower - we struggled to switch between the handheld and the overhead main shower - but as we were only staying for 4 days we didn’t feel the need to rectify this while we were there. The rest of the bathroom is a lovely design, with double sinks. We didn’t have breakfast included every day, but paid for it at €15pp one day. A lovely lady came in and presented us with fruit, pastries and cooked us eggs. It was nice and relaxed to have breakfast cooked right in our room! The location in Côte D’Or was great with a small supermarket nearby and fabulous beach views. It’s around a 10 minute walk to a slightly livelier area with good restaurants/bars such as Cafe Des Arts, St Pierre and Les Lauriers. There’s also a good takeaway a few minutes walk away called Ma’s Takeaway where we could grab some food and bring it back to eat on the balcony. They also provide branded beach towels which were unexpected and a great perk. Umbrellas are provided too in case of a downpour! Another good extra facility were the outdoor mini showers so you could shower off your feet of sand before going back to the apartment. There is also a free safe. Housekeeping was excellent and they would make an array of towel animals to decorate the bedroom with each day! We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend staying here 100%! A really nice small and friendly guesthouse in Praslin.

Amazing guest house with wonderful staff and fantastic location on the beach with possibilities for snorkling and diving next doors. Easy access ATM and to buy food and souvenirs/swimwear further down the road. The rooms are light and with a view to the ocean. I recommend everyone to come here!

All you need to do is cross the road to be in the sand or swim. Very nice views from top balconies and a nice garden view if your at ground floor. Friendly owner, very helpful. Clean and well designed apartments. Only drawback are the sand flies at anse volbert that leave nasty bites.

Ottima struttura self catering. Appartamento per quattro persone molto grande, due camere e due bagni. Posizione fronte mare ma con strada da attraversare. Colazione preparate dal personale in appartamento. Questo crea confusione e odore nei locali, sarebbe stato meglio se la colazione e fosse stata servita in un locale comune. Volo alla sera, vi hanno lasciato l’appartamento in quanto libero ma ci hanno chiesto 50€.
