Ezemvelo Nature Reserve

This place is a 11/10 Can't wait to visit again.The quietness is what I needed.Not to mention the beautiful and cozy rooms , everything was there.

Starting from the reception where we met Angie and her colleague, the warm welcome was indeed homely! Samson made our games more exciting with his refereeing skills. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that our stay was both enjoyable and memorable. The highlight of our trip was the amazing 21km hiking expedition, for the 4th time by the way, exploring the beautiful trail and bonding over shared adventures, with the new markings we were sure we will not get lost. The trail presented the unbelievable opportunity of meeting wild life, through out the trails to the doorstep of our beautiful rooms. The rooms are an epic setup that makes you feel more than at home away from home. As we cooked our food, we had all we needed available to use. We had good Fathers stories around the fire feeling warm through out the evening into the night. We left feeling refreshed and connected, already planning our next visit to this hidden gem. Never heard of this reserve. 🤔 Booked only 1 night, that was a mistake. Lovely drive to the reserve,directions spot on. Welcome at the gate by a ostrich . Plains game on route. Very friendly check in staff. Beautiful unit and had all we needed. Took a drive out and saw plenty of game. Walked the rocks and dip in the stream around the hut. Road a bit challenging down. Sadly no signs to the mountain hut which I was keen to see. Beautiful sunset with sundowner on a hill. Night sounds only the nightjar. Peaceful and tranquility. Run in the morning around the property, magic with sunrise over the dam. Will be back, paradise on our doorstep. Went during the week .
