This lodge is welcoming and fanciful in the AMAZING way that Victor built it, more intricate and sculpted than the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse, with innovative staircases, bottle & tilework, portholes and windows, textured walls and beams, wrapping into trees and vegetation. SO IMAGIANITIVE!! Victor was essential in setting up our second leg of our Galapgos adventure after our cruise. He got us over to Isabela and tours there, and he provided warm conversation about life in Puero Ayora. I wish I had more time to get to know him! Just two blocks off the tourist *****, this is a gem, a local landmark that you shouldn't miss. It appears to be still a little quiet after the pandemic, and I hope the kitchen and entertainment deck gets lively soon. Bike rental was great for returning from the tortoise reserve, and other services were available too. Would have loved to have fresh coffee instead of instant in the morning, but waking up in this unique treasure was worth it, and we stayed here again on our return from Isabela.
