Ulasan Over the Mountain Hostel

Really enjoyed my stay here, front desk was very helpful in answering our questions. There's also a dog and cat (so cute) and if you have any questions you can add them on WeChat and they'll answer you quite fast :) Do take note that there is no lift and you'll need to climb the stairs. There's also self-service washing machine at the back which you'll need to pay to use. Free baggage drop and there's a very big lounge area which is very suitable if you are traveling with friends or looking to make new friends. The bunk beds are usually on the first level. It's a bit far from convenience stores but you can order in takeout (they'll deliver to the front desk and you'll need to pick it up) else there's also some cafes and restaurants around the area. For cheaper eat you'll need to walk out abit more but it is still within a walkable distance. Although there's also someone singing at night from the nearby cafes, I do feel that the soundproofing is done well and couldn't really hear much after closing the door.

Hands down my favorite hostel in the whole of China. Very energetic and nice staff that speak good English. They gave me a pdf guide to the city and even offered to join them for dinner after I came back in the evening. There's a pool table, table football and boardgames if you want to play, and they even have a screen set up for movie nights if you desire. They have a very cute cat and a dog that likes to cuddle. The rooms are good and clean, no complaints there whatsoever. Due to my visa running out I only got to stay one night, but I'm sure I will return in the future. Do fully recommend.

Everything was amazing. Kind and welcoming staff, friendly guests, great atmosphere, clean room, very comfortable bed. Super location in an interesting area and close to many temples. Only minor thing that could be improved: noisy machine (maybe air conditioning?) to be heard even with the window close and ear plugs. But I would definitely recommend and stay here again!!

Hotel staff is so friendly that when they know we have elderlies, they proactively asked if we need rooms that no need to climb stairs. Great service, great location, near to market where morning with nice local food

Location is very far from Main Street you need to walk around 10 minute I not recommend if you do not have your own vehicle The room is basic without towels

Best hostel I have stayed in Chinese. The staff are helpful and the room cleaned daily. Close to the attractions. Can walk there or just take the “little whites”

Friendly receptionist service. There is a common area for you to hangout. Self service laundry (paid service), complimentary filtered water & hot water service are also available. The hostel would send you a recommended itinerary for your stay which saves you time from planning where to go. As this is a budget hostel, you would need to set up your own bunk bed linen during check in and check out. There is an attached bathroom in your bunk bed room. As for room's cleanliness, it all depends on your roommates hygiene civic mindedness. My luck wasnt so good. Location wise, it's about 15 minutes of drive away from Quanzhou railway station. If you are heading to tourist spots, it's about 8 mins of walk to the nearest bus stop.
