A great experience for a female solo traveler. I Pros I shared a female dorm with three other women and had a great time getting to know those coming in and out. The shared bathroom was always clean (cleaned every day). The communal kitchen is large and well-organised. You can make use of condiments that get left behind. As it was still cold, there are always fires burning both in reception and the common room. It makes the atmosphere very cosy. The best service I got was from their information desk, which is located in the reception area. As I didn't have a credit card and businesses like Snowbiz in town don't accept cash, I was able to pay for ski passes and rental by making a booking at the service desk (they have a card machine and also accept cash). Cons This side of the hostel where my room was located, just experiences a lot of noise, as there are bars down below, despite the sliding door being sound-proof. Not all the reading lamps for each bed work and also need to be fixed. The shower leaked a lot of water, as the glass door doesn't properly close. Overall though, a great stay and value for money. You do save on accommodation, as QT is an expensive town to visit.

Our room (room 8) is basic but has everything you need. Heater , towels , space, window. Our room was warm and comfy. Shared bathrooms and toilet were clean. Kitchen and lounge was tidy and very spacious lots of places to sit. Location is amazing !! 5mins walk to anything. Staff were lovely as well. 2 thing is that we could hear everything happening up stairs , walls are a bit thin but lucky we are deep sleepers and then lastly we found some belongings of previous stayers under our bed. Other than those 2 things very happy with our stay.

Hostel is clean and there’s a privacy curtain on each bunk. There are activities planned most nights and the TV room has Netflix and Disney Plus. The hostel has good security - just bring your own padlock for the lockers. Only gripe - the staff are generally unfriendly. Just expect British service 🤣

Ia adalah penginapan yang hebat selama empat hari tiga malam. Pertama sekali, lokasinya sangat baik. Ia mengambil masa tiga minit untuk sampai ke kedai Nzone, tiga minit untuk info&track (bas pergi ke Glenorchy), lima minit ke fergburger dan fergbaker, dan sepuluh minit ke Kiwi Park dan lokasi kereta kabel . Ia mengambil masa lima minit untuk berjalan kaki ke perhentian bas lapangan terbang No. 1. Perhentian bas antara bandar juga berdekatan, jadi berjalan dengan beg pakaian tidak memenatkan sama sekali. The up side: Location is very handy for town. Bed was comfortable. Reception staff very efficient and pleasant. The down sides: A very dated and impersonal bleak hallway to get to our room. Threadbare carpeting. Carpeting in our room very thin and rucked in areas. Bathroom very dated - wooden trim surround between bath and walls. Chipped bathroom door and rusting/chipped bath and sink. Scalding hot shower with temperamental tap/temperature gauge. Spluttering gushing water pouring out of the 'shower' like a big tap/water hydrant rather than a shower. Very unpleasant and felt quite dangerous. The bathroom sink was very low and I am just over 5ft tall and had to lean over. The toilet didn't flush very well. I was going to make a cup of tea before we left however the milk carton in the fridge was half full and had been snipped open and used. I therefore did not make a drink! I have emailed the general manager at the property but have had no response. I don't recommend this as a place to stay. I have stayed several times in the Scenic Suites part of this property without any hitches. I have lived locally for over ten years however wouldn't stay here again. This was a treat for my daughter and I and I feel very disappointed as the money spent on the room does not refect the quality and value received. Very pricey for what is on offer.
