Returned after 27 years, always wanted to return and finally committed. There’s a 3rd island been constructed to house the staff, this works well and all the staff we spoke to had positive comments about the accommodation. We stayed in a beach villas having stayed in beach and water villas during our previous visit. We both like being on the beach and this is some beach. The beach villas was amazing, modern whilst retaining that island style. The thing that made this trip all the more memorable was the staff, they were all amazing and so humble, great characters, genuine and professional. There were so many great staff in the bar in the evening, we were adopted by Afrah (a good footballer by all accounts) he looked after us and made us laugh with his shining personality. The team in the bar were all lovely, Rimah and Kavindu kept us entertained and watered in the bar. In the evening the bar is quiet as most guests go back to their rooms early. We had a couple of late boozy nights in the bar. All the restaurants were really good and we’ve been spoilt in other resorts over the years, we didn’t have one bad experience at Rangali. Breakfast is served in two locations we preferred the main island restaurant as there was more choice, we were greeted most days by Kosi, he was amazing so friendly and accommodating, he made a big difference to our stay and elevated the experience. We ate at the Chinese restaurant UFFA 3 times in total including a beach pop up we were lucky coincided with our stay. We met Moochi the manager, he’s amazing, very gentle personality and very professional. The food was amazing on all 3 occasions, sat outside on the treetop level terrace was our favourite. Moochi made our visits all the more memorable. We ate at the sunset grill, served by an amazing guy who’d not long since joined the company (unfortunately I didn’t take note of his name). He really knew his wines and his advice on wine was excellent, the food in sunset grill was excellent as was the service throughout. Our Villas was serviced by Zuhoor, he really kept on top of the house keeping, made all the more difficult by us bringing sand into the villas despite our best efforts not to. Snorkelling on the house reef was amazing, we saw a turtle and plenty of fish along the reef. Fish levels have depleted since our first visit, I hear this is the case for most of the resorts. The beaches are fantastic it’s a real Robinson Crusoe experience (obviously with a little luxury thrown in ). The sea is turqoise and so clear. From the se plane landing to disembarking in Male airport the Conrad staff took care of us so well, our guy in the airport escorted us straight into the check in desk and handled our luggage straight through to the belt. The garden staff were exceptionally polite and on a number of occasions brought us fresh coconut and opened them up once we’d drunk the juice. We’ve stayed at a couple of other Maldivian resorts, I feel the Conrad Rangali pips them
