I will try to keep it short, but that will be difficult, because our stay here was so amazing and there are a lot of aspects which made it so great. - Employees; everyone who works there is so kind and helpful. You feel that they love working there, it really shows. They are genuine and make you feel like they want you there and are happy to work with you. The two lovely ladies in the restaurant were an absolute joy to see three times a day. Also our guide and driver were super kind, we just loved spending time with them and felt very safe around them. - The lodge itself: really so so beautiful. This is how I imagine paradise looks like. So peaceful, green and beautiful. In pictures it looks great, but in real life it’s just special! Also the house cat who just had a kitten a few days before we came, it’s all very in touch with nature. We stayed in the bungalow room which was amazing. From the lodge you can see their elephants grazing in the grass, it’s just wow! - Ethical approach to the elephants; the elephants are just magical animals, so smart and beautiful. The way the lodge works with them is just how it should be everywhere. No elephant riding and no elephant abuse, just harmony and love between elephant and human. We booked via their website, and emailed them to ask for the packages. We went with the four days, three nights package and really enjoyed this. We had a jungle canoeing, jungle walk, jeep safari, elephant bush walk and breakfast, tharu village walk, tharu dance evening, massage, bird watching and candle light dinner with elephant views. Really we enjoyed our stay here so much. Even in the rain season, which was July, we really could enjoy our time here. Sometimes it would rain, but we would adjust our itinerary, and normally only rain early morning, night and sometimes very short during afternoon.

Sapana village is a little piece of paradise on earth! We stayed five nights and we absolutely loved it - food is among the best we had during our months in Nepal, the owner and staff are incredibly friendly and being able to watch elephants and Rhinos from the hotel terrace was surreal! We booked a canoe and walking tour, jeep safari and during our jungle night stay we even saw a tiger! The gardens are gorgeous and there are a plethora of nice nooks, swings, and benches to spent time while enjoying the birds and plants. We can recommend Sapana village to anyone.

One of the best hotel in Nepal. Best hotel in chitwan Hotel location is excellent staffs are friendly ,polite and helpful. Specialy Manager Ms Rana is doing very well she knows how to handle operations ,staff and management.staff are well educated. Owner are so simple and polite . Sapana village lodge has private elephants so immigin. I would like to stay again in this resort I felt I was at my home. Best of luck for sapana village lodge

We visited Sapana Lodge as part of a tour of Nepal and it was an absolute stand out part of the holiday. There is something very special about this place. The rooms are clean and well kept. The food was plentiful and they were great at tailoring to your requirements (eg if you wanted something spicy). The excursions were fantastic and breakfast with the elephants from the sanctuary was one of the highlights of our trip. We were lucky enough to chat with the owner and hear the inspirational story of how Sapana Lodge came to be. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Chitwan. You won’t regret it!

Not only are the staff friendly - this place has friendly elephants! Yes, they come down to the river and you can feed them from a bucket full of elephant treats like melons, cauliflowers, cabbages, straight from hand to trunk. Not sure if this happens every day but we did on both mornings of our stay. A wonderful, unforgettable experience. The hotel itself is fine and we had a lovely evening meal after a fascinating three-hour jungle tour in a jeep. We didn't see a tiger but who cares when there's magic everywhere? An expensive outing with a flight from Kathmandu but worth every penny.
