Had a very relaxing 4 nights in Casa Dolce Casa. The staff were amazing, very helpful in booking reliable transfers for us. The room was spotless and very well appointed. The views from the balcony were just stunning. The public pool on the terrace below was an added bonus at €20 per person. We had an excellent breakfast everyday on our balcony. I was attracted to the hotel from the favourable reviews and the fact it was on the road so no need to carry luggage up and down Ravello’s steps. Definitely a bonus as the gentle climb up the road to the square was preferable to me than the 180 steps ( yes I counted them!)

The Hosts make your stay a lovely time. Signor Beppe makes sure you have an easy holiday. His advice is honest and caring. The views you can see in the gallery are truly breath-taking and you are one hour away from all the major places such as Amalfi, Positano, Minori and Sorrento. We swam in the four different beaches and had lunch there too. Even the village itself is lively for evenings out when you wish to stay around. That is why we chose to stay there. We have plans to return so as to visit even more sites. For instance the Ercolano is on the way to the airport and is well worth the visit - so next time we shall visit Pompeii. Vesuvius is also an hour away and we bought excellent Buffalo milk Limoncello there, a novelty to us. And what about Ravello, what a sweet town with winding narrow streets opening onto a lovely tree-shaded Piazza Centrale and the Duomo. And a day in Capri with a lovely boat ride from Amalfi as advised by Signor Beppe. We take this opportunity to thank the whole family. Please take their advice and phone ahead if you have difficulties for your best choices or itinerary. And please slow down to enjoy the Tyrrhenian Sea and its rhythms, soak in the culture and smell the wine and the roses.

Where do i start? After a number of cancelled flights, the hotel Manager and staff made us feel extremely comfortable with how welcoming, kind, and helpful they were, helped us with a car rental, served us extremely good and fresh food, the views were amazing, the rooms were extremely clean, and overall, they made our trip the best it could’ve been. I cannot recommend this enough, if you’re visiting Amalfi this is the hotel to stay at.

The hotel is ok, some weird rules around the pool where you are obligated to wear a cap in order to access it. The safe guard is very persistent on keeping this rule. The restaurant was surprisingly better than expected. It takes about 1.5h to reach amalfi by the car from hotel. Hotel has a parking lot which is def a perk. The rooms were ok and clean.

The reason this is classed as a “wellness hotel” is because it comes with a free gym membership. If you’re physically unable, unfit or lazy, this is not the hotel for you. To get to this hotel was fairly difficult, there are 3 ways in, all require going up and down steep, uneven steps in various fashions. The “10 minute walk” (which is the quickest way), involves going up 60 steep steps, down 50 steps and through a tunnel along side cars, buses and vans , with no walk way, then through a walkway passage though the mountains to arrive at the closest point to amalfi town. The safest way requires you to go down 50 steps, up a long steep winding road of about 200 meters and up another 30 steps before reaching the passage for walking. The room decor is dated and resembles something that came out of a Wes Anderson film, worn down wallpapered walls with dirt and scuff marks, a shower that only half worked and floors that after a day felt like someone had danced around the room with toast in their mouth spitting crumbs. The bed was not to my comfort, was quite hard and felt more like stretched canvas over a frame than a mattress, this and thee pillows were nicely wrapped up by a throw that had been used by countless amounts of people staying previously. The hotel cleanliness was generally good, our room was made up each day and new towels were given, however the wood flooring meant that grime and dirt just stuck to your feet and I swiftly started wearing the flip flops for comfort. The service from the hotel on arrival was okay, we rang ahead and they informed us someone would help us with the heavy, large bags, however when we called, the single telephone line was being used and I decided to take on the fest of the dreaded 70 steps (bad choice). We were too early to check in, so we left our bags and came back later, when we got access to the room, we were awkwardly given a tour by reception, who left us stood outside the room whilst they got the slow small elevator up and our bags taken to the room, but it seemed more a quest for tips than service. If you choose to stay here, when tackling the stairs from the “beach”, I’d recommend you pay the few euro tip. Along this line, there seemed to be a fair few times (specifically at check out) when the elevator was broken. But this is probably my suspicious mind. The one positive I had for this hotel is the view, which I will admit is beautiful view of the coast and atrani. However, along with this view is a free alarm/clock 24 hours a day, 4 times an hour. The Atrani village clock strikes in the following times: Sunrise, sunset (16 times each) On the hour, for each hour On each quarter of the hour, for the house and the quarter Example; 7:45am= 7 dings, 3 small dings. When the doors were closed, this was not horribly audible, but noticeable and you can easily sleep, but it does get mildly frustrating and, admittedly, sometimes useful. Bien que l’hôtel et son personnel sont très agréable Le chemin d’accès et assez mal indiqué et de plus très très étroit Il ne faut pas avoir peur de blesser sa voiture

È sempre bello ritornarci e già questo la dice tutta. Panorama mozzafiato servizi al top, super consigliato per famiglie con bambini ma anche per una piacevole fuga di relax. Centro benessere e piscine al top. Gentilezza e professionalità dovunque. Che dire super consigliato. Unica pecca quest’anno è aver notato una poca manutenzione all’esterno dell’edificio. Per il resto giardini etc. Al top come sempre.
