Best hotel I’ve ever stayed in by far. Rooms were lovely. Food was amazing (especially the deserts) and the staff went above and beyond. Beach was lovely and never got too busy. Definitely more for families vs couples but has everything you could want. The town of Rethymno is a €3 return trip away or €10 each way via taxi, and is very charming My only negative is that drinks aren’t served by the kids pool. I can understand not wanting alcoholic drinks, but no soft drinks either? You can still carry drinks from the main pool so not the end of the world, and that’s the only negative I’ve got

Wonderful hotel in an excellent location. Staff all happy and keen to please. Suites beautifully equipped with fabulous views. The food in the buffet restaurant is delicious and provides both Greek and International cuisine - huge choice for both breakfast and dinner. Restaurant staff very keen to please. Superb therapists in the Spa which houses an indoor pool, jacuzzi and saunas. Quite honestly, cannot fault this hotel which is a "well-oiled machine" with most pleasing staff providing an exemplary service. Can thoroughly recommend as a base to explore the beautiful island of Crete. Good, old fashioned Greek hospitality at it's best!

We arrived 11 :30 in the evening all the restaurants were closed and the staff weren’t any help . We had a bungalow and there were cobwebs and the room was very old and you couldn’t open the wardrobe and the doors weren’t secure. We went to the breakfast buffet and they didn’t have enough tables for guests that resulted we had to wait in a long queue for up to 30 minutes.Every day the breakfast buffet was the same food also there were bugs inside the buffet. Weren’t enough options for kids that resulted my kids not having breakfast.The shore had really big rocks / stones we also called the hotel before i booked the hotel and asked if there was big stones at the shore and they lied and said there isn’t and the photos aren’t the same as reality at the hotel.

I stayed here for 2 nights on a business trip and was treated amazingly, my room was a 2 bedroom garden view and was ideal for a family. The food and staff were out of this world and the surroundings were beautiful. Nothing that I would change and wouldn’t hesitate going here on holiday.

A 5 Star hotel let down by the dining room. The hotel accommodation was as one would expect for a five star hotel. Spacious, well designed and comfortable. The gardens were immaculate and spaced out well. The staff were pleasant, welcoming and attentive. The beach, extensive with enough sun-beds and shades to satisfy everyone and the same could be said for the pool areas. THE FOOD !!! A struggle to reach 3 star level. Breakfast every day, baked beans, bacon, bacon on toast, eggs, fried, white scrambled, whole egg scrambled,hard boiled, soft boiled, omelette and omelette made to order as requested, plus cereals, fruit and continental breakfast, salad ,cheese and processed meats. A good selection of fresh home cooked breads. Dinner, fish cut into small pieces instead of fillets, meat dishes of poor quality and often overdone, lamb chops with more bone than meat. Sprouts did not have familiar taste or texture of fresh sprouts (frozen?). No authentic Greek dishes, such as moussaka or Greek meat dishes in general. There was an attempt at beef wellington, but the pastry was soggy and not enjoyable. Salmon on a skewer was too dry. Several editions of potatoes. I actually lost weight during my stay. The buffet dining room actually let the hotel down. No table linen, not always a complete set of cutlery, teaspoons instead soup spoons or dessert spoons. Coffee/tea tepid and although English breakfast tea was available in tea bags, it did not have the taste of tea as we know it.

There are not enough words to adequately describe the unforgettable stay we had at Grecotel Creta Palace, in this part of Greece where the word 'filoxenia' finds its best meaning. Within a vast area full of trees, flowers, art, colors and scents, the premises are located right on the sea, which is a summer holiday staple. Needless to say that no stay is satisfactory, unless it has the right people. Here, every single staff member is highly professional, knowledgeable, polite, helpful and pleasant. These characteristics, combined with the Greek soul create an exemplary framework that makes the holiday even joyable. A special thanks to Ilias D. who arranged our cinematic welcome, took care to upgrade our room and was always there for us with his warm smile. Presented with a fabulous champagne, fresh fruits and exquisite sweets, our sea view room was bright, clean, specious, beautifully decorated and equipped with all necessary amenities. We also had a great culinary experience which started from the varied breakfast buffet and culminated with exquisite tastes offered by the hotel's famous restaurants. It was such a memorable stay: not just to a luxury 5 star hotel, but to a place made of people with soul. Thank you so much to the team and we hope to see you again soon!

We visited the hotel for a week in may - We booked 3 different rooms/bungalows. And due to a misunderstanding we didn't get the room we expected, but the hotel managers were very accommodating and found a solution by upgrading our room, that met our needs. The hotel was very neat and luxurious, with lots of friendly service personnel to ensure that you get a pleasant stay without missing anything. The 3 rooms/bungalows we booked, all lived up to our expectations of a 5 star hotel. They had different categories, and thereby different service levels. Some were serviced twice a day, with complimentary fruits and water during the day. All in all a really great experience at Grecotel Creta Palace.

Hotel was amazing in every way. The staff was friendly, welcome drinks at reception, in room champagne, wine, fruits and sweets on arrival. , great swimming pool, kids pool with water slides, beach chairs, beach bar, manicured grounds, room cleaning, breakfast, fitness classes, kids disco nightly, live music nightly, kids club, and fitness classes. The ladies at the kids club were amazing and spoke many languages, so everyone was accommodated. Programs were different every day and well planned. The playground and kids facilities were well equipped for thunderstorms, rain, and sunshine. Cosin at the fitness club was amazing and customized a program for me when I was the only one. The 4km distance from town is perfect for running, or take the bus for 1.10 Euros. We would go back again.
