The best location! Situated close to bars/restaurants/ beaches. Victor was super nice and accommodating. The suit on the group floor was comfortable but a bit noisy as it is behind reception; aside from that the breakfast was lovely and again location was everything.

Born and raised in Rio, I went to visit friends and family and introduce my fiancée to my city. I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times. I have to say that there is NO better location for you to stay , close to bars and excellent restaurants. Leblon is a safe are compared to the rest of the city . Two blocks from the beach , you cant beat it. the staff at this hotel is phenomenal . They are extremely helpful and friendly . I couldn't ask for more The hotel is affordable , clean and offers a excellent breakfast . i highly recommend the place and I will be back for sure.

I opted for a bed in the 10-bed female dorm at Carneval. Cost me $90 with an official airport taxi but for this uninitiated female solo traveller I just wanted to take the easiest route for arriving late on a Saturday night. Very much a young backpackers place, you will party and you will drink here if you don't go to the 'English' bar across the road which is where I did go and had a grand time chatting to the bar staff who were a bit older than my fellow bedmates (who were all lovely, by the way). It's as clean as it can be for a quick turnaround place, free drinks between 7-8pm and the staff were just lovely. Helpful and friendly. Short walk from the beach. I felt safe wandering at night here and the Metro is a block or so away. Only tiny grumble is that the photos on tripadvisor are not of the Ipanema site; it's a lot, lot smaller!

Num âmbito geral, a hospedagem foi boa, pois nós fizemos ser. Fomos ansiosos, por ser um hotel de categoria luxuosa, além de estarmos comemorando 7 anos juntos, entretanto nos decepcionamos com parte do atendimento. Na recepção e serviços internos, os funcionários foram super prestativos e atenciosos. Fomos recepcionados pela Pollyana. Na piscina, com 5/6 garçons, 1 deles foi o ”menos pior” em questão de atenção e educação. Ficamos 40 minutos sentados numa mesa, proximo ao bar, esperando que alguém viesse nos atender e nenhum garçom apareceu (mesmo depois de termos acionado por duas vezes). Percebemos que ha uma prioridade de atendimentos para pessoas com toalhas listradas (que é a forma deles identificarem ”quem é quem”), além de todos estarem de cara feia e respondendo de forma grosseira, foi bem indelicado e inconveniente, afinal, aguardar por 40 minutos um atendimento que não aconteceu enquanto outras mesas ao nosso redor eram atendidas com prontidão, é bem chato. Depois de muitas tentativas frustadas, já tínhamos inclusive desistido de pedir, um garçom, mais simpático, conseguiu nos enxergar (e detalhe: eu queria apenas uma limonada e nem isso eles tinham). Enfim, ficamos bem desconfortáveis com essa distinção de pessoas e atendimentos diferenciados para uns e outros. Foi frustrante demais. No restante, foi tudo muito bom (jantar, café da manha, estrutura do hotel...) Não somos pessoas de ver problema em nenhum lugar que nos hospedamos, tudo é sempre muito legal e bom. Mas infelizmente, essa situação nos incomodou demais, a ponto de querermos ir embora do local. Espero que a organização entenda e melhore neste quesito.
