The Riverhouse

Riverhouse is the so far the best simple hotel i have been to in the UK, Wales. The place is very clean, you don’t hesitate to use the bathroom without the slippers. The sheets, towels, and the rooms are excellent. I will book again whenever i am in Cardiff.

Stayed at the Studio apartments which is No7 owned by same Brother & Sister in same road as No59 Riverhouse Truly beautiful house and rooms, decor is elegant and modern, rooms are top notch spacious and very comfortable Would recommend without hesitation !

The Riverhouse is only a short walk from the castle and city centre. Though the family room is a bit small, the common area and kitchen were lovely. The hosts were accommodating and the check in process was a breeze! The car park is a short walk away and is easily accessible. Highly recommend!

Hotel located super close to the city centre. The rooms are great and come with a good sized tv (including Netflix). I was also quite surprised at how nice the kitchen, dining area and showers were! Then to top it off the owners are very friendly and reply quickly to any queries you may have whilst staying at the river house!

The Riverhouse is a great value for its location and price. The internet was fantastic. I am a remote worker so fast internet is an absolute necessity. The owners are responsive and friendly. The breakfast was well-appointed with selections including oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, and fresh fruit (for an additional price). Conversely, the correction of a few annoyances would have improved my experience. Specialty coffee was available during breakfast, but only for guests who purchased the breakfast add-on. I highly recommend slightly increasing the price of the room to include this amenity 24/7 to eliminat e confusion because it did cause conflicts with some of the guests, even though the breakfast purchase requirement was clearly marked. The "desk" could not accommodate my laptop. A shelf was placed so I could only open my laptop if I moved to the far side of the desk, making typing almost impossible. I was on the third floor (no elevator) and had to go to the dining area when I wanted to work. Additionally, I have long hair and was provided a single towel and no washcloth. Finally, the lights were on a motion detector. The light would turn off in the shared bathroom almost immediately after sitting on the toilet. An additional lighting problem occurred on the multiple-level staircase. Frequently, I would have to be halfway down the stairs to the lower or higher floor before the lights would come on.

My second experience at this place. Quite, clean, near the river, castle and Bute Park. Breakfast is great. Owners are very friendly and helpful. If I return to this City, should be the choice. Shared bathrooms were not a problem at all. I recomend.
