Residenza Flaminio Gaio

The hotel was better than what I was expecting. Clean, quiet the stuff was nice and helpful and it's close to metro. We walked out satisfied. Great place to rest up after busy tour of Rome. Price is good. Location is central to all the main sites.

There’s nothing luxurious about this “luxury” residenza. I want to say right off that the staff here were wonderful, from the receptionists Silvia & Eros, to breakfast servers & cleaning personnel (probably same guys who did breakfast). But everything else you can forget about. The photos are misleading. Our room was tiny & uninviting (no space to unpack our stuff). Our shower had molds on the floor & ceiling and the shower head was loose & leaking. There was zero soundproofing so that we heard the smallest noise or talking from rooms nearby. The Wi-Fi was practically non-existent. You couldn’t do more than simple browsing of webpages (images wouldn’t even load). The TV is just Italian (and even that was scrambled sometimes) so no possibility for streaming Netflix or other apps. There weren’t even the barest amenities such as a little coffee machine or a kettle, or even shampoo & conditioner. And the area is not particularly interesting or good, impossible to get a taxi. We paid more than $400/night for this place. It is so completely not worth it. You’re paying more than you’d pay at a good hotel without any of the services - no laundry service, no tiny gym, nothing. Plus, it’s kept badly. The carpets on the stairs are totally worn out and unseemly. Aside from the staff, there literally isn’t one nice thing I can say about this place.

Really great and comfortable place! The service is amazing! Great breakfast. Th room is great. They have hair drier and iron with a deck. We really loved the place! Really close to all the attractions . Like 3 min from Piazza del Popolo, 10-15 min from anywhere. Definitely recommended!

This was a horrible experience. I do not believe any of the positive reviews could be authentic. This place is a dump. The condition of the hallway was one thing but the room! The condition of the bathroom and shower was pretty horrible. We were supposed to stay for 4 nights and left the morning after arrival. Unbelievable false advertising.

Please don’t be fooled by the word LUXURY as this is not! There are good points and they are as follows: 1) Location is good and near the Metro 2) Receptionist was great. He is wasted in this role! 3)Clean This is a converted apartment building and is nowhere near luxury. The reception is tatty and all the carpets are threadbare. There is no reception after 21.00 so don’t expect help with your luggage up the stairs especially as there is no lift. Rooms are basic and way below the level of a premier inn if you want a comparison. 2 hangers in the cupboard and no tea making facility in the room. SOUND PROOF ING - none existent so except to be woken up constantly by neighbours especially when in the shower as you can hear everything.

The residence, has the perfect location, within 10 to 15 minutes to every touristic place, is in a quiet nice neighborhood mostly businesses. We ask if was possible to leave our luggage while our room would be ready and they promptly wrote us back with a nice welcoming message, when we arrive Silvia was super kind and helpful, she explained us everything and show us some places to go, she recommended restaurants and solve all our doubts! when we go back to Roma, thats our spot, and we will recommend our friends and Family!

Have never been so fooled by positive reviews as for this accommodation. The accommodation is a converted floor plan in an apartment building and there is absolutely NOTHING that is the least luxurious with it. No elevator, bathroom with poor standard and water damage and room doors clad in white fake leather that are black with dirt around the door handles. We heard the neighbor above (that floor does not belong to this accommodation) get up in the morning, brush his teeth and talk on his mobile just as if he had been in our room, ie. it was extremely responsive. Breakfast is served in a small room and is lean to say the least. The staff takes your order and then hides in the minimal kitchen where they study their mobile phones. There is no list for what is included in the breakfast, but you have to ask yourself. This is however done really fast ... When the time for breakfast is over, the wait staff (the owners) walk out of the breakfast room without saying a word. We were fooled by the fact that we found positive reviews but after staying at the accommodation we realize that these reviews must have been written by the owners and their family or they have been bought. It is completely impossible that travelers may have experienced this place as something positive. For the price this "luxury" accommodation charges for its rooms, we can only advise other travelers not to visit it. We ourselves will never even think of returning to it.

In viaggio con la famiglia, ingresso e scala per accedere alle camere sporca e consumata, non c'è ascensore.Stanza quadrupla con un letto matrimoniale e un divano letto ad una piazza e mezza dove avrebbero dovuto dormire i nostri ragazzi di 19 e 23 anni, dove ho dormito io con il figlio più piccolo ed era non solo piccolo ma scomodissimo,con un materasso sottile e con le molle sporgenti. Colazione misera, non a buffet ma con ordinazione da una lista abbastanza misera,cornetti surgelati. Dotazione bagno minima. Del personale l'unico gentile il ragazzo che serviva la colazione. Siamo stati a Roma tantissime volte in hotel bellissimi e centrali,con personale qualificato e gentile,questo ha come unica cosa positiva la posizione ,ma certamente solo questo aspetto non basta a soddisfare i clienti, sconsigliato.

camere ottime, bagni idem, breakfast medio ma naturali richieste dei nipoti (6/8/9/12 anni di eta') prontamente soddisfatte , personale fantastico,(indicazione pizzerie/ristoranti nelle vicinanze precise e corrette oltre che in linea con i ns. budget). necessario solo sistemazione scale e hall,
