Hotel berhampiran Santa Maria Maggiore, Rome

Sono certa che ognuno di noi abbia la propria scala di fattori per valutare se un posto e' bello o brutto ma che siano le persone il valore aggiunto. In questo hotel pulito, carino e molto comodo , vicino alla stazione di Roma Termini sono proprio le persone che fanno di un piccolo hotel, un punto di riferimento per i nostri viaggi a Roma. Paola della reception e' stata, ed è, la persona che ci ha seguito in fase di prenotazione e che si è fatta in quattro per aiutarci a proiettare le nostre fotografie su una parete, di una saletta allestita solamente per noi, un gruppetto di fotografi arrivati in città per un corso di fotografia di due giorni. Had low expectations after reading reviews, but the accom was fine and good value for money. Location meant I could walk to practically all the sights, and still make connecting trains/flights with minimal hassle. Bathroom was roomy and included some shampoo etc. Mini fridge was cold and kept my Tim-Tams from melting any further (Australians, amirite). Bed was comfy, and clean. Aircon was kinda the little aircon that couldn’t, but the white noise from it doing its darnedest helped block out the street sound (which wasn’t that bad anyway considering location). The continental brekky in the morning was nothing extravagant but I did have about 5 bowls of really yummy muesli and 5 cups of OJ so I was pretty happy. Obviously niche travellers will read that and book straight away. Also the restaurants nearby are good, had a ripper pizza from across the road one night. Other guests in the hotel were friendly, as was the concierge when checking out. First fella when checking in seemed a bit unhappy to have customers, a la Bernard Black. All in all I’d stay again.

リスボンからローマに着くのが夜のため、空港から電車で簡単に移動でき、ナポリ同様、駅からすぐのウナホテルを予約しました。 元々テルミニ駅から地下鉄に乗り換えて数駅のところの三ツ星ホテルを予約していましたが、重いスーツケースを押しての移動は大変なことはすでに経験済みだったので、無料予約変更ができるうちに変更しました。 駅から歩いてすぐで、大変便利でした。 コロッセオやスペイン広場にも充分歩いて回れる距離で、観光にも最適です。 ただ駅の周辺はあまりきれいとは言えず、夜になるとなんとなく怪しげな感じの人がウロ付いてるような気がしました。 朝食はナポリのウナホテルの方が種類が多かったようですが、味は美味しかったです。

This year we have had the luxury of staying at some amazing properties: Le Sirenuse in Amalfi, the Post Ranch in Big Sur and the One and Only in Kigali, Rwanda. We ended our year of decadent travel at the Hassler.The Hassler ranks with the finest hotels in the world. The hotel has been redone in the rooms but the common areas retain all the old world charm that this hotel is known for. We stayed for two nights with our sons and their girlfriends. Each room was beautifully decorated, ample closet space and great bathrooms. The breakfast was what was to be expected, nothing extraordinary. Where this hotel excels and exceeds expectations is the staff. Everyone we interacted with treated us like we were long last friends. The reception staff of Roberto, Giorgio and Valentina took marvelous care of us. The location is unbeatable. Just a terrific experience! Congratulations to the Wirth family for creating this incredible property and hiring this wonderful group of people.

Stayed here for 5 nights in a superior double room. Entrance to the hotel is at street level but reception on the third floor. Small but fully functional lift. The building is very old so don’t expect chain hotel gloss, it’s clean, practical & friendly. Room was spotlessly clean and comfortable with a great shower. Bed very comfortable & room had an opening window looking over rooftops. Room had air conditioning which was okay but it wasn’t that hot this week. Hotel staff very helpful with directions etc. Roma Termini station is but a 3 minute walk away with access to trains, buses, taxi rank & metro. Most of the major tourist attractions are under 20 minutes away by public transport. There is a handy mini market (BH Mini market) near the hotel entrance with a very helpful owner. Would definitely use this hotel again if we come to Rome.

In my 4-bed dorm room were all ”capsule beds” with sliding doors for a nice privacy which could also be locked from outside (so the bed to be able to use as like a ”big locker” in addition to the proper one which is the drawer right below the bed); and yes a nice-length table & a good-sized ensuite bathroom made my 6-night stay in the room I would say quite an agreeable one. And, also a nice hang-out area was the ”outdoor terrace” on the ground level with plenty of tables & chairs (just to be aware of some ”big flies” & such if having a meal there). And located in something like a ”leafy neighborhood” with tree-lined streets, there are also a number of ”convenient establishments” around (cafes, restaurants, a supermarket & a barber shop where I got a haircut) among which there was my usual go-to Chinese food place which is a ”pretty tiny” one a little hard to find but with quite excellent food items (to the left after coming out of this place, then left again on the big street pretty much right away, then across the street straight ahead when getting to the big intersection where the Manzoni metro station is followed by a left turn on the other side of that street, in all just like a 5-to-10-minute walk from this place to that small restaurant). And if arriving/leaving by train, located at just about a 15-minute walk away is the Roma Termini station (with also a number of places to eat in & around the station including not one but two McDonald's and also a nice Indian restaurant just across the street from the station).

The hotel has a certain charm as soon as you walk in. There is no glitz or glamour, just a certain well established feel about the woodwork and decor. Reception were always great, handled things effectively with no fuss. Rooms are basic, but it is a 3 star so don’t expect any more. My bathroom had certainly had a re-fit in the last few years so that was great. Breakfast is a simple buffet, focussed on coffee, croissants, pastries and cold meat / cheese. What’s not to like. Great price for its location.

Great location. Any major attraction can be reached within 20 minutes. Spacious room with a very comfortable mattress. Very helpful staff both at the reception and during room service. We initially had a corner room, but found it a little noisy for us. At the reception they changed it without any problems for another one. There are several good restaurants nearby. Reception's recommendations were also excellent. The hotel does not have its own parking lot, but in the same building on the base floor there is a garage (not the hotel), which can be accessed without entering the ZTL zone. Price 35 euros per day. But opposite the garage there is a paid city parking lot, where you can also leave your car. To get into the hotel from a garage or parking lot, you need to call from downstairs so that a receptionist will come and open the door to the elevator hall. We liked the breakfast. There was a bit of a lack of variety in egg dishes, but there was plenty of other stuff. I think the main disadvantage is the paid gym and spa. And if the spa is somehow explainable, then the gym is usually free for hotel guests. The price for visiting guests is 9 euros. Restaurant is fine. You get the voucher with 20% discount when check-in so the price becomes reasonable. Overall we enjoyed our time at the hotel and will return here again. I think the main disadvantage is the paid gym and spa. And if the spa is somehow explainable, then the gym is usually free for hotel guests. The price for visiting guests is 9 euros. I was nervous about travelling alone for the first time, but the staff (Alessio, Flavio, Martina and Bianca) made my trip unforgettable. The team are so funny and friendly. Alessio (the bar manager) provides the most entertaining atmosphere and is a true credit to the hostel. My private room was clean and comfortable with beauty Italian decor. The guests were a mixture of solo travellers and groups (generally 20-40ish) but everybody was made to feel welcome and included. Thank you to Alessio and the team for a phenomenal experience!
