Everything about this place is perfect! The service, location, food, rooms, activities offered! We stayed by the river, which was so relaxing! The bed was very comfortable. All of the food we had was amazing. We went horseback riding which was really cool, and my husband got a massage which he said was great. The location is great also, you can easily get into the town of Salento, also easy to get to the Cocora Valley for hiking, and the coffee farms for tours/tastings. The whole experience was wonderful.

We love this place. Owners make us feel like family. Clean, relaxing and with lots of things to do and see. You must do the horse back riding with them. It is between Salento and Cocora, for a nice location. Breakfast included with lots of options and delicious food.

Charming family owned place. I enjoyed waking up with the sound of the birds and the smell of nature. Close to salento and far from the noise of the center. The river house is a gem, quiet, remote and relaxing . I really enjoyed my 2 days there, everyone in the property is helpful which made my stay a real treat.

Text: This is the most beautiful hotel I’ve stayed in since coming to Colombia. And I would say it’s one of the most wonderful places I’ve ever been in all my travels. Sebastian met me as we drove up and quickly got me into a room after about two minutes of introduction. He showed me where fresh water was and coffee whenever you want it. The first rol I was in was incredibly tiny (but still had all the amenities) so I asked for another room. WOW! I then got a really large room overlooking the pastures where the cows and chickens roam. It has huge windows so you’re able to lay in bed and watch the animals and the countryside while laying in bed. Each room has a mini-fridge and wines and treats if you like. Also a tv but who needs it with this view? The food here is very special as well- as a vegetarian, it’s the best I’ve had yet. So fresh and seems to be prepared with love. Sebastian arranged for me to take a horse out the next day with a guide and I recommend that way of seeing the countryside and the waterfall. This place is absolutely incredible. Highly recommend it for a stay just 10 minutes from Salento!!! Stunning!!

This has been one of the nicest places we have stayed in Colombia. From the moment we were welcomed by Sebastian, we felt like we were part of the family. We were lucky to have the new room, casa 12, with a full wall of windows looking out into the trees at the forest edge. Sebastian and Eduard helped with transportation when we hiked the Cocoro Valley, and visited the Finca Diamante (cacao), and were patient with our weak Spanish, even as Sebastian speaks excellent English. In the room, the bed was very comfortable, the sheets lovely. A bit of a challenge with hot water for showers was corrected quickly. The meals at the restaurant were excellent and generous. On our final day, we relaxed on the patio, did some stretching/yoga in the shade, and continued to find new birds for my life list. We were sorry to leave this special place in this wonderful country.

Gorgeous surroundings and property. Staff is beyond helpful and kind—special thanks to Santiago, who’s such a caring, capable and fun guy, who btw speaks fluent English and explained us everything in great detail and answered all of our questions. Food is very good and affordable. Lots of friendly animals! Cute cats, a lovely dog, lots of cows and some horses. The river room (8) has a beautiful view to the Quindío river. It’s relatively small but cozy and has a small fridge, stacked with various drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). There’s a small space heater that’s really useful during the chilly nights. Valle de Cocora is only a few km away. Incredibly calm, relaxing and quiet place. We wish there were a few more shelves or a chest of drawers to put clothes on/in, though, as well as a hanger or something to dry the towels there. Many different activities are offered, e.g. horseback riding, hiking, etc. Coffee & tea available all day long. I wish we could’ve stayed longer! Can’t recommend enough.

We stayed at this beautiful and relaxing place , just a few minutes from Salento. The hacienda was just gorgeous, and authentic. The wood floors, the colors , the decorations.. the views …but most importantly, the warmth of their owners . From Maria helping endlessly with the reservations , and transport arrangements, and just answering any questions… she was amazing… ! From the moment we arrived Santiago always so helpful, and Adriana always with open arms ready to do anything to make you feel at home !💕 her smile as beautiful as her heart .. working hard from sunrise to much after sunset just to give you the best experience possible… in our new home away from home !! The food tasty , and the breakfast always delicious and fresh !!! And we won’t forget waking up to the cows muhhh muuh …right outside our windows that was the best !! Our memories that we had at the Eco Cabana Hotel priceless !! We recommend this location a must stay !!

Excellent hotel and location close to Salento and Valle de Cócora. We stayed three nights and had a great time. The hotel is an old finca with very nice accommodations and very charming house. Breakfast was included every morning with lots of choices including home-made jams, cheese, yogurt and honey. The restaurant is open for dinner every nights and they offer excellent choices of food. The service throughout the hotel was very good. The owner and his daughter (Hector and Ma. Camila) were always available and helpful. The hotel offers a variety of tours that can be arranged through them. This makes the planning so much easier. Highly recommend this gem. It has a lot of character and charm.
