So I was excited about this trip. The check in was smooth and seamless and we enjoyed ourselves. However at dinner we were overcharged (our 2 kids were charged for dinner at the price of adults). When they realised their mistake they said the only way to rectify it was to offer free lunch the next day for the kids as they could not refund us the amount. Apparently it’s irreversible. We were forced to carry take away lunch even though we didn’t intend to have lunch at the hotel
At checkout they wanted us to pay for accommodation again even though we had prepaid through trip.com. Apparently they only recognise payment through *******. Even though I presented confirmation email and voucher they still insisted that I might pay. After a long wait and verification they confirmed that we had indeed paid. This was after I had sent email with proof of payment. Pretty disappointed with the service. I have always loved sunbird

Excellent staff - head chef took particular care of those with special dietary needs. Beautiful location - fish eagles and hammerkops regular visitors. Great food, comfortable clean bedrooms and meeting venue. Just beside it also a wonderful wood carving cooperative with outstanding work

This hotel on the shores of Lake Malawi. I would rate it as a good 4-star hotel. Most guests seemed to be Malawian conference guests but the hotel is more like a resort. Staff members are friendly and helpful. The room was big enough and the bed was comfortable. I slept very well. Buffet dinner was excellent.

I've been there for quiet some days but it's a really nice place...This place is so called sunbird livingstonia beach hotel,when we take away of salima down to senga-bay the road takes as straight to the hotel...

What a great place to enjoy the lake and Malawi hospitality! Everything worked at this hotel and rooms were spacious with great view of the lake. Bed was super comfortable and bathroom was a pleasure to use. I really enjoyed the little balcony with chairs to enjoy the views. Internet was the only thing that was spotty.

New wing with high-end rooms opened recently. It is well appointed, clean and has great view of Lake Malawi. The hotel is building. new dining and bar space, which will be nice considering that the new wing does not have dedicated restaurant and bar facilities. Restaurants offer decent buffet but a la carte order takes seriously long time.

Had not been for a while but always our favourite family day outing. Just our most favourite place. Lots of changes, new restaurant going up, however service is terribly slow, not amused at all. In addition consideration should be made to constructing beautiful shaded wooden beach deck that runs along the wall, with appreciate deck furniture to give more room to visitors to lounge and enjoy the lake. Swimming pool area too crowded. Aftwr almost 2 hours wait, food was served cold, fish fillet dry, “French fries” cold and not presentable! Definitely did not meet standard I have been used to here. Disappointing!
