Áncora Salou la Siesta Apartments

We spent 4 days in this apartment for the New Year and we are really satisfied! The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed. It had good heating, two TV sets, a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable bedroom, and a nice terrace. The beds were very comfortable and the whole apartment was very clean! The reception was open 24 hours a day. The only problem was the weak internet, but we had our own so it didn't bother us. Really all recommendations for this accommodation. We especially enjoyed our winter vacation in this beautiful town by the sea, without a big crowd of tourists.

Currently sat in Reus airport and compelled to write a review after a fantastic three night stay here. We arrived at around 11:00am on Friday morning and were greeted by a very friendly and helpful chap who told us he would try to see if our room could be made available earlier than 16:00 and to come back at 12:30. We were very grateful that at this time our two bedroom comfort apartment was indeed ready for us to use. The apartment was spacious and spotlessly clean with a huge balcony, two bathrooms and a lovely sitting area with a table, seating, sofa and a TV. The kitchen area was also impressive although we didn't use anything other than the fridge. We were visiting primarily for Portaventura and the Ancora was a straightforward and easy walk of Approximately 20 mins. All the staff here were very friendly and professional and we really enjoyed our stay even if the weather wasn't favourable. We will 100% be back in the future and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Salou now. Brilliant.

We stayed for a week from 12/9/24. We arrived early and were told we would have to wait until room was ready . We sat by the pool to wait . We were delighted when the man on reception came out to tell us our room was ready at 12.30pm . We had to pay the €9 tax and €100 deposit and we were told that when we left all dishes had to be washed and rubbish taken out and we would have our deposit returned. Room was lovely with excellent aircon and everything you need for self catering. There was a nespresso machine and a cafetière and even a blender. After paying the deposit I took some photos just incase they wouldn’t return our deposit. The patio table had a cigarette burn on it - we don’t smoke - and the cafetière was stained . Sheets and towels were on the bed . We were in room 506 which faced the main road , which was busy and faces one of the H10 hotels . But it was fine - we availed of their live music most nights on the balcony 😅. We hired the safe for €21 but also had to pay a €25 deposit which I thought was odd . Pool area was lovely and quiet and it got the sun around 2pm . Plenty of sunbeds and chairs . Pool was freezing though . Anyway we got our deposits back the morning we left , the staff were really friendly and the apartment was modern and spotless. Will definitely go back

Nice clean apartment. Had to make own bed up. And take all rubbish away on last day. If you book breakfast, you have to go to another location. Which is not mentioned on apartment details. No Rep visit. Or notice boards for local information. Not a bad location.

Myself and my 16yr old daughter and 20yr old son stayed in a 2 bedroom comfort apartment. Absolutely outstanding, having 2 bathrooms was a luxury I don’t have at home so didn’t want to leave. Kitchen fully equipped, spotlessly clean and a great size. Balcony was big and looked over pool area. Sofa bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever come across. Air conditioning was unbelievably good in every room. Beds super comfortable. Big TV and decent WiFi. Pool is small with only about 20 sunloungers which wasn’t a problem for us out of term time, think it would be busy and no sunloungers available at height of season, beach is 10 minutes walk away and is stunning. All staff at Ancora were brilliant, so helpful and friendly. Wanted to pick up these apartments and take them back home with me, just perfect, was sad to leave and hope to go back.

I really can’t think of anything negative to say about these apartments! They are fantastic! We had an apartment with two bedrooms and two bathrooms (which we weren’t expecting). The apartments are new - only a year old and are in a great location, just 10 minutes to the sea front and shops. The apartment was plenty big enough for 4 of us, with an adequate living area, well equipped kitchen and a large balcony. The air conditioning is very efficient too. We had towels included, but that might just be the particular package holiday we paid for (with Jet2). The staff are very friendly and helpful - they were more than happy to recommend places of interest and book taxis for us. We would highly recommend these apartments and would definitely stay here again!
