Don Gregory by Dunas - Adults Only

I wanted a real break from everyday life and I booked a 10-night stay at this hotel. The hotel was really clean, the room was big and the view was stunning. I have travelled a lot and this hotel is closer to 5 stars than 4. The food was really good and lots of choice. I also booked a massage and it was also really good and relaxing. I would also send to especially thanks the restaurant employees because they are very hardworking and attentive. If I ever return to Gran Canaria, I will definitely choose this hotel. Amazing experience all round. Andrew and the entertainment team were brilliant. Service from all the team was impeccable. Food in the all inclusive was the best I’ve had and the weather (even in an ‘off-season’) was spectacular. Amazing.

This is a very German orientated hotel and they were given more preference over the English guests They would serve them drinks first and seem to give them more attention .i was standing at the bar waiting for to be served and I German came along asking for a drink and I said I was first and the waitress spoke him in his langue and passed him a drink behind me When we checked in we were told men had to wear long trousers in restaurant from 1st Oct. All the reviews I had read never mentioned this so when we explained my husband did not bring any with him they brought out three pairs he could lend for the night which were to small to be able to eat that night and told to go and buy some Which was upsetting you could wear scruffy jeans or tracksuit bottoms in restaurants But not smart Tailored shorts When we were allocated our room of which I had paid to upgrade for a sea view room we were on the lower ground floor and you had to stand up to see to see the sea and on the main pathway were people were walking past all day and night as this was the promenade We felt like animals in the zoo being looked at and uncomfortable we complained about to the manager and changed our room the next day at 2 pm for a much better one . Which we enjoyed The subbed situation really needs to be looked at as we had in our room a letter saying if beds not used after 30 mins towels would be removed but we noticed that if you were German you could get bed reserved for you with a disabled sign one person had a crouch to use but all six of the family choose front row beds and disabled signs on them for them to use even though the rest of the family were quite abled there was another elderly lady that every day she had a two beds saved and would bring her four towels to use and and couple that would sit on back row by the pool would have four beds between them as they did not want any one else to be beside them The staff do work hard but there doesn’t seem to be enough in bar areas so had to wait a while for a drink The food was good and plenty of of choice And always hot the hotel itself needs a good update as rooms are looking tired We made the most of our holiday but would not return to this hotel

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had the most wonderful stay at Don Gregory by Dunas in Gran Canaria! The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the beds were incredibly comfortable, making for a perfect night’s sleep. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming, with a special shout-out to the chamber maids who went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. I was particularly impressed with the food – it was delicious, with amazing touches like the great selection of fresh juices in the morning. The location couldn’t be better, right on the beach, making it so easy to enjoy the stunning views and the sea breeze. I will definitely be staying here again! Highly recommended!

Andrew was a very good animation, the aqua was amazing! He tailored the session to the group. He was also fun and timely. The feedback from others was also good. He really knew what he was doing and we all had every confidence in him. I wish all aqua instructors were like Andrew

The staff were excellent. Always friendly and helpful, the hotel is a well run ship... spotlessly clean and in general the levels of service were very good. The food was good quality for an all inclusive resort too. The spa was great and the quality of the massages we received were first class. Also the hotel is in a lovely area overlooking a stunning beach with great ease of access. Highly recommend this hotel.
