Bull Costa Canaria & Spa - Only Adults

just came back from a 10 night stay here and have to say I have mixed feelings about our stay. hotel is beautiful and clean, house keeping are amazing and the grounds too were beautiful, couldn't fault it. food was a mixed bag. breakfast and dinner had plenty of variety however if your a picky eater you will struggle here. lunch service had little variety so we tried the snack bar. this was way it went downhill, had to wait over 40 minutes twice just to even get our orders taken. but to make things worse, others who came in after us were getting there's taken due to them being german. when the food came it was delicious, and they had a good selection to choose from. another occasion we ordered to have only 1 meal come out and my husbands didn't get ordered and had to wait while mine got cold. the solarium and spa were great, staff really polite and helpful. the spa had a free water bed massage which was amazing plus a sauna room, and stream room. the bar in the evening was similar to the snack bar. drinks and cocktails were great but had long waits to be served as felt we were ignored while the Germans were served first. had a phone call from reception requesting the manager come into our room to look at our balcony. said they would come at 9am the next day. waited till 9.20am to them turning up late. was told they wanted to take out the balcony glass and replace it and would it be ok to be done on the same day. told them yes, however it was never done through the rest of our holiday. overall we had a lovely break away but feel we wont be going back.

We had a garden room which is situated on the edge of the pool with an outdoor terrace and an indoor lounge area. The terrace had sunbeds on and a table and chairs. We also had sunbeds by the pool, which you can reserve for the duration of your stay with a tagging system. The pool area was super peaceful and relaxing. The room was clean and spacious with tea/coffee making facilities and a fridge, with bottles of fresh water every day. Breakfast was great, a huge choice of hot and cold options with copious amoounts of fresh fruit and salads, cheeses, meats etc Dinner was a bit hit and miss, loads of fresh salad options and a fresh grill every evening but the other options not always so good.

Hotel not brand new but very well maintained, clean .Amazing pools , spa ,very friendly staff,just on the beach.., great localisation, 90 % Germans. but 1. 2 public car parks always crowded, often not possible to use 2. Very bad ,soft beds and pillows, I had to use pain-killers due to my sore backs every day 3. Food ok but every day the same

Beautiful hotel, spotless room. Pool area and gardens also extremely clean. Food was excellent especially the breakfast selection. Drinks good. Seen a few reviews about being ignored if you are not German, while yes the majority of people staying are German, we never felt ignored. Tags on sunbeds a brilliant idea. We would return here again.

I had high hopes after reading reviews, but unfortunately it was disappointing. Clean, although all the pools need some attention as yellow/green mould around water line. Food was awful, and I'm not a fussy eater, not enough variety and just didn't taste good. Pool bar food was better. Unlike other all inclusive hotels food isn't available all day. Staff are very attentive if you're German, this hotel is overrun by miserable and rude Germans who have no manners. The sunbeds are so close together you are literally touching the stranger next to you. Self service drinks are closed off at 6pm for some odd reason so you need to use the bar that is often run with just one person. Entertainment was ok, every act for 2 weeks was the same, bendy dancers in a salon lounge set out like a doctors waiting room with most of the chairs facing away from the show which was bizarre. Everything shuts down at 23.45, no late night bar or sports bar for late drinks or food, probably ok with their guests who are mostly over 60. Some guests were shouted at for having a blow up beach ball in the pool as they don't like anybody to have any fun. It is a very dull hotel that needs some fun and energy injected in to it. Would not recommend, I'll stick to riu in the future that has a bit of life and not so many rules.

This is the second visit to this hotel and we were quite disappointed. They have lowered the dress code and you can see the difference! They say men can come to dinner in smart shorts instead of long trousers and its like the Huggets have come to town. Food not so good we had pork as the main meat 5 times out of 10. But the staff are all lovely, smiley and helpful, they are the best thing about this hotel, we especially liked Juliet the lifeguard, her smile brightens your day. We will not visit again.

First of all the hotel is lovely, the rooms and pools are top notch. House keeping is second to none along with the cleanliness of the whole hotel. Where it all goes down hill is with the arrogant German visitors, who seem to think they don’t have to queue for anything. As an example if you to awaiting on the coffee machine they will just push in front of you and completely ignore the fact you were there awaiting the use it yourself. While in the pool swimming lengths, they won’t move out of your way, even though there are very few people in the pool at the time. Most of the staff are very helpful, but again if you don’t speak German except to be ignored by some of them. This I found to occur most in the poolside bar. It’s such a great shame, only because it is a lovely hotel in a great location, but sadly your not made to feel at all welcome by some staff members and certainly not by the German visitors. So because of this I will not returning to the hotel or island again, because I feel that we not wanted here.

Probably the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Beautifully designed and maintained inside and out, rooms clean and comfortable, food excellent and unlimited, staff friendly and professional and in a really good location next to the beach. The fact that it is adults only makes it appeal to older age groups or childless younger couples, but the onsite entertainment is pleasant and would appeal to all ages. More expensive than other all inclusive hotels I have stayed in, but well worth the extra!

Have visited here a few times and this was the first since lockdown. It is still a very good hotel for adults. It is well presented and maintained. Staff are very good. Entertainment enjoyabel. Love the allocation of sunbeds for the duration of your stay. A bit much to charge for the safe in your room though. The grounds are lovely as is the pool and bar area. Food quality has deteriorated slightly as many dishes were a bit boring with little taste and much of a muchness. The pool bar food was better than the main restaurant. We have booked again as overall it is a very good hotel.
