Great hotel, fab location. 25 mins walk up to San Gimignano. Rooms were clean and comfortable and staff were friendly and helpful. We pre-booked the restaurant for 6 evening meals across our 2 week holiday but cancelled 4 of them them after being disappointed with the over-priced, bland and tasteless food which we were given on our first 2 bookings. There was also very little choice for vegetarians which was a problem for us. Shame really, otherwise would recommend the hotel to anyone.

I stayed a night after my graduation party. Around 19:30, we decided to eat the left over cake I had brought from my party the day before. There were no cutlery in the room (although the announcement included a refrigerator and microwave). So I went outside and happened to find the owner of the hotel. I asked if it was possible to find a spoon or fork. She said no. I said our neighbors said they had cutlery inside their rooms. The lady answered: they paid for it. You didn’t. Anyway, very rude response. This event made me very upset. Especially cause I feel like it wasn’t a big favor or anything too difficult to solve since other rooms had it. Just a small act of kindness. Other than that, we arrived in the city 14:30 and asked if we could leave our backpacks there (the check in time is 15h). She also said no. Basically our experience was terrible. I don’t recommend it at all.

Struttura carina con un po’ troppi scalini e porte da aprire per arrivare in camera che nel complesso è ordinata e molto pulita… la nostra stanza dava sulla strada e quando passano le auto (poche a dire il vero) si sente tutto come si sentono tutti gli ospiti delle altre stanze sopratutto quelle sopra dove davvero sembrava di essere con loro in bagno. Prezzo comunque modico vista la posizione a 2 passi dal centro. Servizi puliti e con tutto l’occorrente compreso phon e saponi da bagno.

This is an excellent hotel! It's located in a historical building right in the heart of San Gimignano. My room was very charming and cozy - it was very bright, with very high ceilings, and great views of the town's streets from two directions (the room was located at the corner of the building). It was also extremely quiet. There is also a shared living room area, balcony and fully equipped kitchen if you wish to cook your meals. Finally, Simona (the manager/ hostess) was just amazing. She made me feel so welcome. Upon arrival, she gave me a map of the town, and pointed out all of the main sites, and patiently answered any questions I had. The price is also very reasonable considering the location and the quality. I cannot recommend this place enough! You won't be disappointed.
