H10 Estepona Palace

Beautiful surroundings, architecture, and rooms with friendly service. I love the comfortable, white-washed room with a balcony and sea view. My only complaint is that there are no authentic Spanish restaurants in the vicinity; the 25€ buffet dinner will become monotonous if I have to eat it every day. The “heated” swimming pool was also too cold for my liking, but sunbathing in the lush pool garden was still worth it.

This is a fabulous hotel, clean, big rooms the most comfortable bed, great workers, taxi service beautiful spa and massage and good food. Def recommend should be a 5* hotel. Would def stay here again the staff helped with everything. Rooms cleaned daily, can change beach towels daily too.

This hotel is in a good location, 15 minutes walk to the marina and a nice front. We booked a Superior Sea View room which had a great view but the room itself was not superior. Wardrobe space very limited see pics and bathroom needs an update eg tile grout going off and shower temperature control not consistent. The room was clean and comfortable and maid service was good. We only stayed Bed and Breakfast and generally went down at 8 am and plenty of space and again the choice was ok but I have seen better. The pool area needs attention in places but acceptable and we always found sun beds. However , people going down at 6.30 am using their phones as torches to put towels on beds is something the hotel should stop. The entertainment was ok but we tended to go to the chill bar which was very nice and the drinks service was better than the main bar. The hotel has a lot of positives and overall we enjoyed our stay especially in Estepona Old Town. We decided on Taxi transfer £80 each way 45 minutes as Jet 2 standard transfer is between 2 and 3 hours depending on drops etc.

Just returned from H10… Reading many reviews it would appear much differences between guests on what is provided for example we never got a turn down service like some but maybe they are for selected guests? Anyway I’ve scored this average as very good would be a little over the top. Good points - staff were all very friendly and helpful - Bar staff work very hard especially in the chill out bar where most nights the lady has to work alone making and serving drinks - she could do with help! When she does the man clearly didn’t know what he was doing and caused her to work harder putting right his mistakes - I did feel sorry for her and helped taking glasses back from tables. Food was excellent throughout- I would go careful on the evening show cooking as like other guests noted same tongs are used on raw meat to then serve you the cooked meat! Lots of choice and quality great both breakfast and dinner. Views were lovely over the beach i never found it noisy from music with our room patio door closed Sunbeds there are loads! Yes people reserve them but even at 10am there are beds free and if not the pool staff will get you some..! Life guards work hard to ensure non hotel guests are not using the pool which we seen many a time.. they ask them to leave or call security.. I’d suggest maybe the job of a life guard should be to watch the pools and not keep patrolling sunbeds looking for non writs band wearers. Not so good points It’s tired - appreciate the hotel is old but the rooms are comfortable at best - bathrooms are very out of date and worn out bath that had a shower and was not safe as the grip had worn away meaning getting in and out was dangerous generally it was tired and dates and worn Location isn’t great but then we knew this before coming - the port 20 mins walk or 7 euro taxi is nice for dinners but only 1 shop ( mini mart ) Old town for us offered nothing it was not for tourists and personally not worth going to. So overall this made its location very restrictive. There is a shell petrol station 2 mins walk if you want to buy crisps snacks etc or vending machines in hotel you can buy from. The shop in lobby had very little choice and more of a charity style shop feel to it. Aside news papers it can’t sell anything? Cocktails - chill out bar very good freshly made and shaken made properly ….main bar they disappear in a side room then 1 min later appear with what must be pre made syrup little or in my case no spirit which the bar lady said oh she forgot !! Twice????? I’d stay clear of those for 8 to 10 euro each time personally. The hotel does try hard to impress - it’s clean but for us too dates and I’d not return due to its location and value for money compared to many others in Spain. Final suggestion - when queue form at reception desk ask the two ladies who man a Privage guest service to help..? The people at the reception desk want to spend time with guests meaning long queues form and the ladies at the Priv

The reviews for this hotel are pretty spot on. The staff are some of the friendliest I have come across and they do not stop - they work so hard. We went half board which worked out well as the food wasn’t to our taste. Meals included are buffet style for all meals. Lunch and dinner options varied slightly with a change of meat or fish option. Food was nice enough but not something I would have enjoyed for every meal. The other restaurants there offer food you can pay for in addition but we really didn’t enjoy the first lunch we had there so didn’t eat there again. We had cocktails in the terrace bar and they were gorgeous! Definitely recommend and the views were lovely. There were activities everyday throughout the day for adults and children alike. The staff who took the kids’ club were energetic and the kids who went looked like they had a great time. There is a timetable of things for the adults like Pilates or water aerobics if you want to get involved. You can hear the waves from your sunbed next to the pool which was so nice. The sunbeds were an issue. Unless you were down there at 7am, it was really hard to get a bed with any sort of shade and you needed some shade in the afternoon. Unfortunately, 60% of the beds taken didn’t even seem to be used but rather had been reserved and then left empty, which was frustrating. It would be better if the hotel had a policy of removing towels if left unattended. The beach in front of the hotel has beds reserved for hotel guests only which is great. The beach is quiet too. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We had two single beds pushed together which wasn’t what we wanted but it didn’t really matter. The aircon was lovely in the heat! There was no iron to use but you could get items ironed for a fee which worked fine for us. The cleaning staff came in each day which was great. We also asked for a kettle and tea facilities which was no problem. Anything we asked for was met with a helpful response from the reception staff. Each night there was entertainment provided and there seemed to be lots of families who enjoyed this. We didn’t stay for any of it as we went out each evening. A walk to the Marina took about 30 minutes and a walk to Playa de la Raya / The Old Town was around 45 minutes. During the day I would recommend going via the beach so you can walk through the water as it is a hot walk! Otherwise waking roadside is slightly quicker. We mostly got a taxi into town (ordered by reception- call them 10 minutes before you want to go) which cost between €5-€7 so it was straight forward and inexpensive. We then often strolled back. I definitely recommend the restaurants in the old town - really quaint and atmosphere-rich little side streets with gorgeous food. Finally, there was a presence of security around throughout the day and the evening, not all the time but they were there, meaning it felt safe. The lifeguards were active and I saw lots of mangers around too; all staff took their role’

A great week away. Pool area can get busy and short on beds, if you can’t beat them join them and get towels down early am! Food was consistently good, not great but as expected for this level of hotel. Would definitely stay again, thanks for your hospitality.

8th visit. Always gets better . Staff friendly and accommodating 5 mins in cab from Estepona Town . Or walk into Marina Excellent food . One of the best H10 I’ve stayed in Just booked for a month next year . Worth joining the H10 club . Plenty of offers and discount's

Hotel was very clean, food & drinks amazing (all branded on the all inclusive) The entertainment team were great - Ezio, Victor & Irme made everyday at the pool so much fun. Thank you H10 I would most definitely return if I needed to be in this area of Spain again.

Beautiful hotel, with two lovely pools ( plus children's pool) in a perfect location for walking to the Marina and new/old town. Wonderful promenade walks too. Very professional, friendly and helpful staff, delicious food (so much variety) and very good and varied evening entertainment. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and our room was spacious and very comfortable. The only recommendation for improvement is to NOT turn the air conditioning off for about four hours during the night! There also may be a need for more poolside umbrellas at the height of the summer season. However, we had an absolutely wonderful stay at the hotel and also took trips to nearby Marbella, Sotogrande, Playa De Quesado, Casares Mountain Village, and Gibraltor -all easy to reach by taxis which would arrive at the hotel within a few minutes! We also used Uber twice.
