1st impressions: the view of the main house upon arrival is spectacular. Service from staff is very good. This place is good to relax for a day or 2. I think there might be some excursions to do off property, but I'm not sure. I was only there for a night. Stay here for the experience.

Definitely a treasure. Carlos was great the first night helpings us with our reservation.. the staff at dinner was extremely attentive to every detail and we were recommended a great Mezcal. Thanks also to Israel for helping us with a late check out, Mariano with Breakfast by the pool and Hector for a wonderful Tour. We were sorry not to have time for a massage with Fatima but thanks so much again for a wonderful time!!

This tastefully renovated Hacienda is on my list of favourite hotels after our recent stay. It is remote which encouraged us to explore a less touristy area of the Yucatán. Our room was huge and extremely comfortable with the best bed ever and top quality bed linen and towels. I loved the original features which were well maintained and really added to the atmosphere. The rooms were impeccably clean with fly screens on all windows so we had no insects in our room. There were insects outside, as you would expect in the jungle, but far fewer than at our inner city Australian residence. I thoroughly enjoyed my late afternoon swim in the unique pool and could imagine languishing in the shaded area during the midday heat if we weren’t too busy exploring. The food and beverages were delicious and the service was friendly and faultless.

This is by far one of the best hotels I have ever stayed. from beginning to the end, at our arrival Hector came to greet us when we arrived he also took our luggage to the room. The front desk supervisor Israel and the manager Regina helped us during the check in process. they were both so kind, they check in process was very smooth.. I have told them I was celebrating my first wedding anniversary that night and my birthday the following day, they surprised us with a beautiful and romantic decoration for our dinner , my wife and I were so happy I can't thank them enough for all the did for us, every night we had this beautiful handwritten notes from the HK team and the manager. thank you Kimberly she also helped us with our requests during our stay. Wilber, Alexis and Fidel were also great at the restaurant, you can tell they love what they do. They were always smiling and happy to see us every day. I have read some reviews about people complaining about the rooms, please just consider you are going in the middle of the "SELVA MAYA" you are visiting a historic hacienda, yes you will see bugs and you might see guest that are laud, it's funny to see comments like " they made us " like the hotel is doing it on purpose. enjoy the experience :) Thank you to all the staff! I hope I can go back one day, I had an amazing experience, thank you for your incredible hospitality!

Hacienda Santa: Our room - inside and out! We had an outdoor living room, outdoor shower and small pool all to ourselves - all right in a jungle garden!!! The pool!…is work of art combined with old and historic architecture! The tranquility! No way to describe it. The staff! From the concierge Jenny, Regina the caring manager, to Hector the all around gut who also is an expert on plant medicine ( he gave us a fabulous tour of the hacienda’s botanical garden!), to Jose the bird tour guy,to the restaurant and housekeeping staff- kind, welcoming, helpful and professional! My husband slipped and fell one day: there were literally 6 people there to help him almost before he hit the ground. Jenny the concierge continued to check up on him for several days! We have now stayed at all 5 Yucatán Haciendas of the Bonvoy Luxury Collection, and we like to tell people that “Now we can die”. ☺️ Thank you Hacienda Santa Rosa

very nice break between Merida and Campeche. We loved the food and the relaxing ambiente. We had the room 103 and was amazing! From here you can do Uxmal and Celestum. Highly recommend for a couple of days in total relax!!!

After leaving the busy days of Merida, Hacienda Santa Rosa was an amazing peaceful retreat. There were not many guests and we were upgraded to a room that shared a pool with 2 other rooms - but they were empty and we had it to ourselves. The staff are incredibly accommodating and warm. The attention to detail from the hand written notes, the turn-down service and the basket of towels placed in our car when we said we were visiting Celestun was true Yucatan luxury. It was a wonderful visit for 2 nights. Note - you should know some level of Spanish when visiting.

My family truly loved our short stay at Santa Rosa. The service was fantastic, the food was great, especially considering the remote location, the property was fascinating and beautiful and the rooms were perfect. I've honestly never experienced anything quite like it and would happily go again. We stayed for two nights in the center of an otherwise busy trip and it was a perfect spot to relax and unwind. We were with an energetic three year old and between the pools and the vast grounds there was plenty for him to do. I think an extended stay would become boring for a youngster I'm sure we could have stayed another night with no issues. The location is close enough to Uxmal that after a day of relaxing we drove down tot he video mapping project that happens in the ruins at night. I highly recommend this, it was a world class and unforgettable experience. We arrived back late, around 10pm and a few staff members were waiting for us and offered to prepare us dinner for our room. I would not have asked for this as it was late, but it was very much appreciated. Israel was the staff member we interacted with most and he was a true professional. Needless to say I recommend this Hacienda for a short stay to unwind during a visit to Yucatan, or even a longer stay with this being your main destination.

Our family had one of the best trips ever at the Hacienda Santa Rosa. It is certainly the most memorable Marriott property we've ever stayed in. The property was lovely but it was the service that was so impressive. Every request was accommodated -- pack a breakfast to take in the car? Could we order dinner off the lunch menu? The food was surprisingly local and unusual -- we are vegetarian and the local salads, fruits, and vegetables were an unexpected bonus. Plus, the Hacienda cat, who adopted us right away and we later learned is named Lola:-) The knowledge of the staff about the local flora and fauna, the beekeeper who gave us a tour of the beehives, the staff who picked fruit off the tree and handed it to us when we asked for fresh fruit for breakfast -- it was all perfect. Plus the cucumber/jicama snacks they served with evening cocktails on the veranda. Thank you, Hacienda Santa Rosa, for a lovely re-introduction to international travel.
