We booked the roomPedra loft apartment in Santiago de Compostela months ago, and added another apartment in the same building for friends to join us. Firstly location: roomPedra is 100m to the steps that lead up to the main square, Plaza del Obradoiro, in front of the impressive and magnificent cathedral - it really is perfect! Secondly: the loft apartment has a south-facing balcony overlooking extensive and lovely back gardens of neighbouring houses; this comfortable compact space has all you will need for your stay - great design means every space is used well. There is a nearby small supermarket for essentials (milk butter etc) and a very good fresh food market 10 mins away. Thirdly Elena our host: she is terrific, very helpful and responsive, lots of information provided prior to arrival and via maps and QR links at the apartment. Last but not least: the city of Santiago DC is such a different city to others I have visited in Spain: calm, quiet, and ideal for contemplation and reflection - all those returning Camino pilgrims adds a unique atmosphere here. It has good restaurants and bars, interesting museums, and within easy reach of a very attractive coast. Don’t miss the cathedral rooftop visit! El apartamento esta muy bien situado, a unos pasos de la catedral. Tiene todo lo necesario, vajilla, cubiertos, sartenes, cafetera que por cierto te dejan unas cápsulas para que no tengas necesidad de comprar y tsmbien azúcar, todo un detalle. Utensilios de cocina para la limpieza. A mi me toco la planta baja, una monada de apartamento con una pequeña terracita que daba al jardín vecino. Decorado con mucho gusto en general fue una estancia muy agradable. Lo que si recomendaría al propietario que pusiera algo translúcido en el baño para tener algo más de intimidad. Así queda muy bonito pero yo eche en falta la intimidad.
