We loved this neat and spacious guest house in the Suikerbosrand and our very friendly and welcoming host - it had everything we needed and even more than we expected. It was walking distance to De Pecan Valley where we were attending a wedding.

The apartment is spacious with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is a full DSTV bouquet. We had an electric blanket and two heaters. Lettie and Dirk went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The river is lovely with a swing for the kids. There is also a barbecue outside with lovely patio furniture overlooking the river. We enjoyed walking on the farm and saw several buck, zebra and the cutest donkeys. We cannot wait to visit Ibis Nest again.

It was an amazing stay at Ibis Nest! The accommodation was fantastic and very clean! The views were amazing! I would recommend driving a 4x4 and not smaller cars as it is a long gravel road to get there. Other than that it is a fantastic accommodation that you should definitely check out!

We've had such a pleasant experience at Ibis Nest!Lettie and Dirk went out of their way to accomodate us.We have 4 small children and our 'Nest' was childproof.We had all the facilities to our needs,and Lettie provided us with everything you can think off.Our rooms had a such beautiful view over the river , the children played endlessly on the big lawns and swing next to the river.We were lucky enough to pass a herd of Elands on the harvested corn fields one night before entering Ibis Next , what a unbelievable sight!We really wish we could've stayed longer,Ibis Nest will definitely see us again in the future.Absolutely great place and great people!

Lettie was a wonderful hostess, accommodation was perfect, clean and comfortable. Everything we needed. Thank you The freshly baked bread and tea/ coffee station , very welcome. You just might like to renew your signage on the road as the gps took us to your neighbour with the cattle , the farmer did point us in the right direction. 🤗

Accommodation was lovely, unit was clean, neat and tidy, and bed super comfy. The hosts were really great, welcoming as we arrived. The setting was extraordinary with the incredible bird life. Thank you Lettie for the awesome muffins and rusks.

Ibis Nest is a real gem hidden in Heidelberg. The hosts were amazing and thought of every little detail to make us feel conformable. The additional extras like rusks for breakfast and fruit juices just added to to homely atmosphere. The rooms were spotless and the beds really comfortable. The attention to detail by the hosts makes this place a must for travellers. The gardens were really beautiful and the setting next the lake was breathtaking. A must for anyone who is looking for tranquility that is affordable and hosts that are really passionate about people.
