An absolutely amazing hotel. Beautifully decorated, staff incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely excellent, so many different options to choose from, it was all fresh and beautifully laid out. If you like a sweet, you’ll not be without. There were almost as many different desert options than mains! Cakes, biscuits, chocolate. If only I could eat them! Great views of the mountains from the restaurant and you keep your table for the duration of your stay. Room was small but adequate, TV, wardrobes, coffee machine no kettle (it’s Italy!), fridge, desk etc. and full amenities in the bathroom. There is a safe in the wardrobe which is free of charge, you just program your number, hit enter and it’ll lock keeping your valuables safe. I left a mobile phone, cash, iPad and AirPods out on my bedside table every day and no problem with the cleaner. There’s an Apres ski bar just up the mountain which gets very busy and you can hear the music but this usually cuts off at about 9ish. Would love to come back.

Great hotel, where staff couldn't do enough for you. Food was great, huge selection. Having read previous reviews saying vegetables were cold, unless you got there early were true; however...the hotel clearly took note, and at the end of the week there were hot bain marie type trays which did the job perfectly. So much choice for the food, and always Spag Bol and Spag with tomato sauce if nothing else caught your fancy. Massive array of desserts too. Spa was good, and one of charge of €10 for the week. You do have to book your 2 hour slot on the day and book it early as they do get booked up. Indoor hot tub was very cool and not pleasant and outdoor hot tub not open. One of the steam rooms broke down after the first day but I'm sure this will be fixed. The sauna was great. Room was spacious, clean, warm and comfortable. Whirlpool bath (just don't put too much bubble bath in!!! Powerful shower, good towel rail for drying things, fridge, walk in wardrobe. All in all a great hotel and if the snow was better in Sestriere (I hadn't realised that although it is at over 2,000m, it was in the 'dry part of the Alps') we would definitely stay at the hotel again.

Brilliant stay in this hotel and great value for money. The staff are great and the restaurant and bar were both really nice. Big thanks to Sophia/Sofia in the restaurant for being amazing at her job and one of the best members of staff we have experienced in a hotel restaurant. We are lucky to be able to travel quite a lot and this hotel is the best I have stayed at in catering for food allergies. I am allergic to gluten and the staff could not do enough - a bowl of gluten free goods on the table for me at every breakfast and dinner and chefs making me fresh pasta and pizza and gluten free desserts brought out in separate packaging. Amazing service. Many thanks to the chef with large black framed glasses who gave us exceptional service and genuinely seemed to care about making great food. My husband and I both really enjoyed the great selection of food at breakfast and dinner. A large amount of vegetables, salad, cheese, bread, pasta, meat etc and a large amount of dessert options. The bar area had a nice atmosphere with good wine and beer and I do not understand the previous reviews complaining about the prices as we found them quite standard compared to the UK and definitely cheaper than previous ski resorts we have stayed at in France for example. No issues with our ski locker and brilliant having the ski hire right next to the hotel. You walk directly opposite the hotel, clip your skis on and go as it’s ski in ski out. Sestriere is not a party resort (if you want that head to Sauze) but we found some nice bars to have a drink at in the afternoon near the lifts/piste. We walked into the town from the hotel a few times and didn’t think it took very long maybe 10-15 mins, but the hotel does offer a free shuttle in the morning and afternoon/evening. The room has a mini fridge so we stocked it with water and snacks to take up the mountain for lunch. The only thing the hotel could improve on is the bed comfort as we found the mattress and pillows to be very hard and uncomfortable. The room gets incredibly hot even with turning our radiator off, which did mean we woke up during the night. It also would have been nice for the jacuzzi in the spa to be heated or to have access to the outside hot tub. Otherwise a great stay so thank you to the hotel staff.

Lovely hotel and have only minor comments for those looking to book, or hotel improvements. Well done to the hotel on now having proper food warmers arrived on our last day!! Comment to hotel would be to change booking to hourly slots during peak post ski times for the Spa. Comment to the hotel would be to show allergies advise not just on hatch service, but also buffet food. The menus were displayed next to hatches, I think it would be better to have them displayed outside the restaurant prior to dinner too. The menus are not accurate in translation and the numbers next to the menu are not clear. I had an allergic reaction to ravioli which had fish, despite making it known to the staff and chef at the beginning of the week. Hotel is a little out the way, but fine for skiing in out of, yes there is a small slope to climb up all of 30 MTRS, honestly that is not an issue. Mini bus run is a fine option, but hotel giving taxi driver number as well as map of drop off / pick up points would have been more useful as we were unclear on pick up having walked into town initially (25 mins across slopes). Boot room ( with ski lockers) are inadequate in size for hotel, and too warm. Hotel suggestions is to turn heating off between opening hours, and make better prevision for skis racks outside allowing only boots to be taken on and off down stairs. Several lockers not working, bit of investment would sort that out. Bit mean to not offer tap water, glass bottled water didn't do anything towards its green credentials. There is no air con or room heating regulation, turned radiator off in the room and on floor 3 it was too warm, but unsure how this could be rectified, so be aware. Beds were comfortable, 2 singles together, lovely large rooms and whilst there was a walk in type wardrobe there was only one shelf with safe and a single small drawer in it, would suggest to the hotel to install more drawers. Kids club room was a good addition, only used a few times, but had adequate things and films on every evening. We would return and enjoyed our stay very much, food was generally good and the buffet range excellent, thanks to all the staff and only minor suggestions for changes to make it top top!

I had an excellent stay here back in April 2022 with the restaurant being the star of the show, waiter service with white crisp lining and superb food ordered from the menu of the day. Fast forward to 2025 and it's luke warm, bland, 3 star buffet food at best. It's the start of the ski season and a third of the ski lockers are out of order and the three bedrooms we had were run down. Real shame for a hotel with a great reputation since the 1930's There is plenty better in Sestriere!

Filthy room - When we arrived in our room, we were shocked to see how dirty it was. Every surface of the room was dusty and it looked liked that it had not been cleaned for quite some time, including the bedside tables, the headboard, the light switches and most other surfaces. Under closer inspection, there was no mattress topper (which is very unhygienic) and under our sheet, were cut toe nails just left on the bed! My wife and I were repulsed from seeing this and immediately went to highlight this to the front desk. The cleaning team came and put a mattress topper on the bed (on top of the toe nail clippings) and remade the bed - nothing else was cleaned! After complaining to again, a cleaning team came to the room and steam cleaned the bed and carpet and put the bedding back onto the damp bed. It was very clear they didn’t really care about the cleanliness of the room by their attitude. Unsecured ski lockers - when we checked in, we were not given a ski locker key. Later in the afternoon, once we collected our hired ski equipment, I asked the front desk for a ski locker. They said that none were available. All they had were a few with no locks on them, but assured us that they would be safe. When we went to look in the ski room, we saw that there were so many ‘out of order’ or without locks. As this was the start of the ski season, I find it unacceptable that the hotel were not able to get the ski lockers repaired for the use of all guests. Is it not their responsibility to provide a safe and secure place for every guest to store their ski equipment? They advised that if we chose an unlocked locker, they would not provide any guarantee that the equipment would not be stolen, so after a heated discussion with them, they allowed us to put our skis equipment in the luggage room in the hotel. This was not secure, however did have a security camera nearby in case anything went missing. This again was not ideal, as we had to walk through the hotel with our equipment each day. Within a few more days the room was filled up with other guests skis who had also complained. With some investment before the start of the ski season by the hotel, this could have easily been rectified. Sadly, this also demonstrated the lack of care by the hotel about their guests needs. Cold food - we saw reviews of the hotel on Trip Advisor prior to arriving and saw many that complained about cold food. To our surprise and dismay, on arrival to our first meal in the restaurant, these issues had not been rectified by the hotel management. The main courses were warm at best, and the vegetables and remaining food had heat lamps on them were cold. The heat lamps were too far away to do anything more than shine red light on the food. This was the same for breakfast and evening dinner which was disappointing every day. We chose Italy, as we know the food is amazing and had looked forward to eating delicious food at the hotel, only to be let down by it not being hot enough to be
