Ulasan Jinglai Hotel. Selected (Shanghai Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street People's Square)

Stayed one night as I was transiting in Shanghai. The spot is very central and close to the Bund. You can either walk or take a Didi. The entrance is sort of hard to find, but I've attached photos with a green/blue plaque. You know you're there when you see this entrance and security guard sitting on the left side inside the building. The hotel is on level 3. It had all the things I needed. Although the room is small (literally just the bed), it is enough for my needs and for the cost I paid. Importantly, the hot water worked, the hair dryer worked and the aircon worked. Didn't try the tv. Overall would recommend.

Good Clean Worth

The room is still dirty even we requested to clean the room the next day. The same dirt under the bed is still there. Aircon in our room is not cold. Location of the place is quite far from metro. The only pros is the front desk, they are very welcoming and willing to help and use translation to understand.

Everything is ok

Friendly and responsive receptionists. They attend to our queries. We have some problems w the TV channels and the WiFi. They helped to resolve our issues promptly. We ask for nice food recommendations and they provided good suggestion.

The location is really strategic. Is in the middle of the NanJing East Road. The train enntrace within 500meter from the hotel. And it is the tourist spot. The police is every where. So don’t worry if travel alone Beside, for families trip, is the best to get the families suite type. It will be comfortable and acceptable space for staying.

The rooms in this hotel are very small, but what it lacks in amenities it makes up in an incredible location. I’ve stayed here twice in the last few months and it’s the perfect econmical location if you have plans near The Bund. I’ve stayed in far more expensive hotels (The Fairmont, for example) but we can’t always afford luxury and location. Choose this hotel if you want location. The price is fair and the room is small, but cozy and clean.

The hotel room is too shot, one can not place his belongings. Also no windows/ AC is not working properly. I will never recommend this hotel.
