Housekeeping was prompt and thorough, with my room being tidied up and fresh linens provided daily. The room service was also impressive, with a good selection of dishes and quick delivery. When it comes to cleanliness, the Ibis Hotel Shanghai is second to none. The hotel is spotless, with a high standard of hygiene maintained throughout. My room was meticulously clean, from the sparkling bathroom to the dust-free surfaces. The attention to detail was evident, and it was clear that the hotel takes pride in providing a hygienic and comfortable environment for its guests. The public areas of the hotel, including the lobby, corridors, and dining areas, were equally well-maintained. This hotel is close to the convention centre and is easily walkable. The room was quite small as can be expected. The room itself was clean and well presented. The area is nice and quiet. There are a few restaurants on the same street as the hotel and a grocery shop. There are some more good restaurants a ten minute walk away. The staff were helpful, they didn't speak much English but with translator apps we got on fine.

The location is great for early flights but please be warned that you need to exit on exit number 17 and there is a lift there. Do not exit anywhere else otherwise you will find yourself struggling on the road as did I in the beginning . The gym is in a separate building. It has good weights and a treadmill. The service was attentive when sought it as though they needed to be given problems to solve. In a good way they are wonderful staff, the toilet was old when compared to other branches so understandable that it could look over used however I discovered too much mould on the tile grout which could be easily cleaned and spruced up with mould cleaner or some kind of bleach. If that was done it would have made the showers more comfortable rather than seeing lines of mould everywhere I was told that an attempt was made to clean but clearly it was not as much effort as one would do for their own home. The towels need to be replaced. they are ready to be used for other purposes now. I think that the head office needs to invest in keeping up appearances.  the front desk said that the hotel is older than other ones in the chain , I have so far used four of their locations (this was most expensive but lacked the feeling from others due to the above mentioned) also because I am a foreigner I am unable to register as a member and therefore I’m not able to benefit from any membership benefits it is better to consider foreigners without the Chinese phone numbers in future. For what I require the nights and the location and my flight the next day this hotel if the same requirements apply I will still rebook although I hope my suggestions are taken into consideration. thank you

We booked 2 King Bed rooms and were assigned to 1 room with 2 separated rooms and 2 separated washrooms, however that assigned room was molded on the walls as well as the wooden construction which are close to the window. So we requested to change room, eventually the re-assigned 2 rooms are ok, brighter, cleaner. Walls and door are thin, I could hear people talk , people close their doors at night and snores in the morning... Breakfast was good but there were not many tables available, I wasn't directed to a table to sit and have to find table on my own. I waited a while for a table. Direction to shuttle bus to Expo was not clear, have to ask staff in order to find the location.

I was looking for a hotel near Longyang Rd Maglev station so that I could easily get to Pudong International Airport. This hotel ticks many boxes: — Proximity to Shanghai Metro station (Lines 2, 7, 18) — Proximity to Longyang Rd Maglev station — Proximity to huge variety of food for dinner — Easy (step free but with escalators) access to all modes of transport — Late check-out option (2pm) — Not too expensive So I’m glad I found Autoongo Hotel Shanghai (New International Expo Center Longyang Road Subway Station)!

I have mixed feelings about this place.... From one side is renovated (definitely not new as mentioned in the description) but from the other side you can see it below standard (just cheap materials).... For me it is closer to 3*....

I recently had the opportunity to stay at IntercityHotel Shanghai, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel itself was nice, with modern amenities and friendly staff. However, there was one significant drawback that affected my stay. The walls in the hotel seemed to be paper-thin, which meant that I could hear every sound coming from the neighboring rooms. Whether it was the flushing of a toilet or someone taking a shower, the lack of soundproofing was quite noticeable. This resulted in a lack of privacy and disrupted my sleep at times. Despite this issue, I must commend the hotel on its cleanliness and comfortable rooms. The location was also convenient, with easy access to public transportation and nearby attractions. In conclusion, while IntercityHotel Shanghai offers a pleasant stay with its nice facilities and friendly staff, the thin walls can be a significant inconvenience for those seeking a peaceful and quiet environment. If noise sensitivity is a concern for you, it may be worth considering other accommodation options

Finally found a relatively quiet hotel near Century Park! Stayed in a Premier room (with windows onto the central circular courtyard) which was almost like a small suite. The biggest advantage we found over the neighbouring Kerry Hotel was that there was much less disruption of our sleep by neighbouring customers letting doors slam, when we were trying to get much-needed sleep after travelling. The room wasn't very modern, very much an older 'angular dark wood surfaces, no carpet' style, but was very clean and comfortable nonetheless and the AC worked just fine. Was encouraged to see other non-Chinese staying at the hotel. Breakfast was good, with a reasonable number of Western options. We initially found it quite difficult to get the extra pillows we requested, but our persistence paid off. The English comprehension level of the desk staff generally was only moderate, but the concierge and the lady running the excellent hotel gym understood us perfectly.

This is my first time traveling to Shanghai, and it’s absolutely amazing! I chose to stay in Maixinge Boutique Hotel (Shanghai Oriental Pearl Tower) and everything was perfect. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was near to the metro station. The room was great and clean, but sometimes I could hear others talking through the wall. And what I like the most about breakfast was dumplings soup. Next time I would stay here again. Thanks for your kind and helpful. Also thanks for souvenirs too.

Quiet and clean, service with Xiao ting and Yu was so good, I recommend.
