Pros: Absolutely beautiful hotel. Very elegant and stylish. Rooms are large and very comfortable. Some staff members can speak English. Near Subway Line 2 (Exit 14). Excellent breakfast. Cons: Hotel refused to return our deposit (paid via Alipay) when we left, citing a ”problem with their bank” (no fault of ours), saying they need 24 hours to return the deposit. This seems to be their default policy. After we insisted it was returned the same day, although a few hours after we have already left Shanghai. This experience left a rather bad impression, and I would not return to stay at this hotel. I would suggest that guests check the hotel's current policy regarding the return of deposits, before they make a reservation.

When I checked in, Starry was very kind. I asked for a late checkout and she gave it to me free of charge. I was also upgraded room free of charge which was very nice. I wasn’t overly sure on the amenities the hotel had (pool etc). The room was very clean with a lovely large bed. Good wifi, big TV, water in room, optional mini bar. I ordered some room service for lunch and it was very nice and came within a good time. All staff were very kind. I had a takeout delivered to the hotel and someone (I didn’t get her name) was very kind and helped me on her own phone to lick it up as I didn’t know how to do it. Would definitely stay again!

I was astonished by the exterior when I first arrived at Ôpartment. It has a sense of history in the building, surrounded by popular spots for city walk. My family and I were greeted by a fellow young man who offered to help our struggling hands with our luggage. Walking into the hotel, we encounter the modern looks of the lobby. By the registration counter, there is a table with coffee and cups for us to take away. I really liked the organisers at the back of the registration counter that holds room keys in each box. Going up the lift to our designated floor, the elevator door opened up to a gate, one that would remind me of the olden days, of Harry Potter, even. To gain access, we simply swipe our card at the side of the gate. It seemed as pets are allowed, we saw three dogs playing around at the hallway. It doesn’t smell bad so it didn’t bother us. The hotel room is very spacious and clean. There were magazines about the hotel, television, a kitchen with plates and bowls and utensils, a comfy bed, and of course the bathroom. As it is my birthday this April, a kind sister called Vicky who works there brought me a cheese cake. It was quite surprising to come back to the room to see a cake by the table. It was sliced into three pieces, just the right size for my mum, dad and I. Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night. While my mother checked-out our room, I observed the notebook they left on the table to the left of the registration counter. There was a mirror in front of the notebook, and a pen beside it. It is a notebook left for guests to write and draw on. I asked the staff if I could bring it up to the top floor, a bar with pretty interior designs, to draw on the notebook. So I did. The bar was probably closed, or maybe it is more popular by night, since there were nobody there except for one man who I guess works there. There were many wine bottles and flowers, plus a balcony with great view. I drew on two pages of the notebook, taking my time as they allow me to. When I went back down to show them my proudly done work, the staffs were all excited and shocked to the point they snapped pictures and even gave me a notebook of the same design as a souvenir. At last, we had to part and say goodbye. When the car that is supposed to pick us up arrived, two or three of the staffs (noticeably all of them are pretty young) helped us with our luggage and carried it to the car for us. I’ll have to say, this is one of the most unique hotel I’ve ever been to!

Perkhidmatannya baik, tetapi biliknya terlalu kecil. Saya telah kekal sepanjang musim sebelumnya, dan pengalamannya sangat baik. Kali ini sangat kecil ... Kecuali dua katil, hanya ada sofa kecil untuk satu orang meletakkan barang. Tidak ada tempat untuk meletakkan lebih banyak barang ... Jalan pejalan kaki sebenarnya tidak bagus kecuali lokasinya yang baik dan pengangkutan yang mudah.

Pertama sekali, lokasi hotelnya sangat bagus. Anda boleh pergi membeli-belah di Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. Lebih senang menaiki kereta bawah tanah berhampiran People's Square. Ia berjarak sekitar 20 minit berjalan kaki ke Bund. Isyarat Wi-Fi di dalam bilik sangat lemah, tidak dapat digunakan. Saya hanya boleh menggunakan trafik saya sendiri. Kebersihannya rata-rata. Terdapat cendawan di salah satu bantal. Tempat tidur akan berbau seperti puntung rokok dari semasa ke semasa. Kemudahannya baik, air panas dan penghawa dingin. TV betul-betul, harganya lebih dari 300, itu sahaja.

Golden Gate Hotel terletak di Nanjing West Road, dan lokasinya cukup bagus. Hotel ini mempunyai sejarah yang panjang dan ber***a Shanghai lama, dengan suasana nostalgia. Bilik-bilik koridor dihiasi dengan kayu, yang kelihatan berat dan biasa. Kemudahan bilik OK, sangat tenang. Namun, tidak ada banyak jenis sarapan, itu adalah makanan sederhana, dan tidak ditambah ketika terlambat, yang agak disesalkan.

Apabila saya memasuki bilik, saya merasakan bilik itu agak kecil, jadi saya membayar tambahan untuk naik taraf. The hostel exceeded my expectations. Could not relate to the bad reviews about permanent residents dirtying up the place. I didn't encounter any of them. But I did stay in winter, so maybe there were less people. The common area is huge and comfortable. There's a water dispenser in the common area, and also a large collection of beer and drinks. The room can be a little small, but it's sufficient. I've stayed in worse places. The locations is also perfect. Just a stone's throw away from Nanjing Road, and 5 min walk from People's Square station. I see no reason why I would not stay here again.

We liked the hotel, its location is wonderful, the service is quite good. It's situated in the downtown area, there are lots of shops and cafes nearby, and the main pedestrian street is very close to the hotel. The room contains everything you need for everyday's life, especially I loved the bathtub, it's clean, snowy white, however it's not so big, but nevertheless it's cosy and nice. The bed, the thick curtains let you sleep until lunchtime 😂 the breakfast is quite good, it includes eggs in 4 variants, coffee, tea, milk, cereal, salami, ham, cheese, pastry, fruit, vegetables, different Chinese food, yoghurt. I haven't seen the iron and ironing board in the hotels before, that's pretty much cool. The small kitchen also contains dishes, cutlery set for two, a cooking pot and pan, a microwave oven, a small fridge, so you can cook something. Thank you for this wonderful stay in Shanghai. If we are in Shanghai once again, we would love to stay in green court again!!!
