Shangri-La Qile Wuxu Star Watching Inn

Great hotel/hostel to stay. Location is very good and staff helpful. Hot shower and el. blanket. Room and shower has no heating. Beds are great with plugs and curtain. Mattress is quite hard.

Nice location and the room is ok but the bathroom is outside so I really don’t recommend in winter.

This was the best hotel experience I have ever had and certainly the best I will ever have. When I arrived I was planning on staying only one night but I stayed as long as my visa allowed. The Wunderfull family who run the hotel are super fun, helpful and include you in all the local activities they do. The names I am writing are probably wrong, but "wang rang" already welcomed me with open arms and always cooked delicious Chinese food. The mother, "Boss", looked super cool, organized everything you needed and was happy to share a lot of laughs. The same goes for her daughter "Qiqi", who also taught me a Chinese game and was always ready to have a nice conversation with you. And then there is the son "Lele". From the first moment we talked, I knew we were going to be good friends. When we drove around Shangri-la Lake in a Caprio, made a big musical performance while cooking, or played cards and Nintendo Switch all night together. He is just a person who can always make you smile and feel happy from the bottom of your heart. I will be so happy if you come to Germany and visit me, and I will have a free bed for sure. Because in these few days we didn't stay friends. We became bros. FOREVER.

I loved my stay at the hostel. It is very well located, just a few minutes walk from the old town, there are many restaurants nearby and it is easy to get to by bus from the train station. Furthermore, it has hot water and a clean, and comfortable bed. But what I liked most was Sister Fang’s welcome, she was so kind to me and helped me book the tours I wanted. Furthermore, she gathered some of the travelers and took us to visit Napa Lake, and it was really cool. While we were talking I saw a video of her riding her bike and I said that I liked this too and she called me to go together for a ride in the next morning, and it was one of the best days of my trip. We went to Napa Lake again, but this time by bike and the path was so beautiful. She was so careful with me and welcomed me so well, she offered me steamed buns, hot tea to keep me warm and chocolate to give me energy. It was an absolutely perfect day thanks to her. I will always remember Shangri-la and this beautiful day I had because of Sister Fang 🙂

Very nice stay! Clean dorms and toilet, perfect location and friendly family running the place!

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Top location. Very good price-performance ratio. I can really recommend this hotel.
