We stayed at the hotel for 3N 4D, the hotel is at around 500- 600 m from mall road, but the road towards hotel is very steep and to reach to the hotel you have to take stairs, not an ideal hotel if you are accompanied by elders or toddlers. Premium rooms are spacious and with view (no balcony), deluxe room are small with no view. We stayed in the deluxe room 207 which was above the staff quarters/ kitchen and every time they cook we have to inhale the smoke so we need to keep our windows closed most of the time. There are no fans in any of the room and it will be hot inside the room if you are visiting in May june, we requested for the fan which the staff denied at first but when we said we cannot open our windows they somehow arranged a table fan. Food was decent in terms of quality and taste.. There is open space as such in hotel except a small garden for name sake in the lower ground for which you have to take stairs which has no railing and the garden has electric fence which is all open so you need to be very careful while you roam. In the season time prices are high (6-7K) for deluxe room which is not worth it so better book it in advance else you will be disappointed.

The view from the room and the open dinning area was spectacular, room was clean and presentable, and the service was excellent. Everything about the stay was great except the noise from a party that was being held at the hotel by a group kept me up till midnight and sploit my sleep. Maybe sound proofing needs to improve. Overall, it was good enough for me to stay again in future.

One of the best places I've stayed. The staff are beyond exceptional, especially Suman in front of house and the exec chef Bamti. Suman was so personable and attentive, without being intrusive, and really made our stay even better. Bamti actually took the time to do me a not on the menu Himachali meal which was genuinely wonderful. The views from the hotel are beyond gorgeous, the jacuzzi looks out over the himalayas. Incredible.

The ONLY reason we had dinner at Cecil was Executive Chef Raj Kumar. For fun I was personally trained by a Three Star Michelin chef. Raj Kumar's Food preparation is second to none, and the presentation is superb. He suggested several courses, and each one was better than the next. Whenever we are in Shimla, whether we stay at Cecil or not, going to the restaurant is a MUST. Besides being an excellent chef, he is highly professional and courteous, with the biggest smile. We all can't wait to get back. Thank You, Raj Kumar. P.S.: His personal story of humility and perseverance is heartwarming and encouraging.

The Taj Theog Resort and Spa is a gem in the hills of Shimla. Amazing vista of snow capped mountains and lush green pine forests. The staff are so welcoming and professional enabling a stress free stay. Special mention to Amrik Singh and Rishabh Singh Bundela who clearly lead a super enthusiastic and happy. team. Heartfelt thanks to Restaurant Manager Mr Bhandari, a true gentleman, whose team of Ashok, Dina, Preeti, Ayush and Tanisha. Clearly a rising star at Taj Theog is Neeraj who worked tirelessly to ensure our comfort and advised us on cuisine and activities. Thank you Neeraj. Thanks to Lalita for a lovely welcome and guidance. Anil the nature trek guide was very knowledgeable and made our forest trek interesting and memorable. I highly recommend this resort for anyone seeking luxury, comfort, natural beauty and the exceptional Taj brand professionalism.

We loved the stay in your hotel. The surrounding view from hotel was very beautiful. On service part, I had never seen such a quick service in any hotel. You ring housekeeping/ service group and here he is in front of the room within 1 min.This was the standout for me. Food was also good. Got satisfactory support from front desk, especially from Mr. Prateek Jammwal & Mridula sharma. Thank you very much. Hope to meet again in future.

It was an unforgettable luxury experience at Shimla British resort. From the moment I stepped into the hotel the service was exceptional. The staffs genuine care for gas set a new standard of hospitality. It was one of the best properties in Shimla to enjoy the nature. I loved the room and its balcony views with green view all around. It gives you peace and serenity allowing you to snap some moments to rest and rejuvenate. I look forward to visit soon and being delight again.

Outstanding food and staff in the resturant led by Mr. Mohan who was phenomenal. The chef and his team are brilliant and give u a sense of being at home. they also help you in getting good ,clean transport at nominal rates for sightseeing nearby. The entire resort bathes in nice sun which makes it bright given the cold weather.the view is nice given the location.

From the breathtaking views of the city to the top-notch service, every aspect of my stay was simply delightful. Mostly liked : Location Mall Road - 5 minutes, Christ Church-10 minutes, and the Jakhoo Temple-1 hour. It’s the perfect base for exploring the city, with easy access to shopping, dining, and sightseeing.: 5* Services: services of cleaning and dining are up to the mark : 5* Food: food is very good: 5* cost of accommodation and food is pocket friendly Room: (Super deluxe with city view) room is bit smaller in size but perfect for couple. bathroom is clean and 24*7 hot water facility. my overall experience : 5* comfortable and budget friendly
