Jungle Hut

It was an Enid Blyton world of fairy trees and majestic mountains and lacy clouds complete with a dreamy chalet but here the difference begins the chalet aka rooms were very practically and thoughtfully made with air condition and solar panelled geysers and mosquitoe meshes on windows and fluffy beds and exotic fragrant bath accessories and utterly clean and hygienic living quarters. The staff was friendly extremely helpful and very thoughtful The pool was more a fairy pond really with a surreal charm of mountains and sky around it yet with a wonderful cleansing system Books and puzzles for children and reading selections for adults and a woody dining hall with scrumptious food ,you name they had it And the walk through the jungle that is a chargeable treck with the in house naturalist was amazing There were deers board ,birds ,eagles and owls In and around the property.on the way to the resort we spotted elephants,monkeys ,langoors,peacocks,barking dears,giant squirrels and even a turkey...so it's a lovely place to decompress specially with family and toddlers would also enjoy.

Jungle Hut is a beautiful resort with lovely view of mountains, trees, wildlife and nature all around. We stayed here for 2 nights. The management and staff are very friendly and helpful. The entire property is sprawled out with ample space for nature walks, kids to play and it also has a beautiful swimming pool. There are deer almost all the time and since this is in the middle of a jungle there are great chances of spotting elephants, tigers, leopards and other wildlife, especially at night. Rooms are very neat and clean. The food is EXCELLENT! We will definitely be back here soon, highly recommended.

This is the 3rd time here. This should say a lot about the place, its service and staff. Jungle Hut is a home away from one. The staff is polite, tentative and keeps their guests comfortable. Being on the periphery of Mudumalai forest, it is ideal for family and friends. Personally found it to be a breath of fresh air compared to the loud guests in many of the hotels these days. And if this is not enough for you book this place, come over for its food. Everything you taste will only elevate your taste for that dish. Beautiful property and the food is to die for,each meal was an experience,kudos to the Chef!The rooms are big enough ,it was perfect for 3 adults and a kid.Jungle hut is a perfect getaway for a weekend- very well maintained,There were deers and many birds inside the property,There are ample options of various activities and services like jungle safari,Massages etc.The property manager and other staffs were extremely courteous and hospitable,they called us a day before to guide us with e-passes,asked us about our food references, whether we have any food allergies etc,that was extremely thoughtful. The swimming pool inside jungle hut has a lovely view,we will definitely visit again.

I had a GREAT time during my short stay at Jungle Hut. The cottage allotted during my stay was quiet spacious, tastefully done up. The icing on the cake was the room tariff-very REASONABLE! Unlike the OVERPRICED resorts in Bandipur (in Karnataka & near Masinagudi), Jungle Hut is the perfect combination of LUXURY at Value For Money property. The food items offered in the buffet were highly edible. Something which I never usually come across in resorts was the different PICKLES which were on offer during the buffets. There was this pickle made out of BRINJALS which was the STAR attraction among the various pickles kept out for the buffet. A special shout out here for Jibran (Staff at Jungle Hut) who went out of his way to pander to all my "special requests". He was pretty determined to ensure that I was treated like a KING. The bed foam was excellent thereby aiding in SOUND sleep for the night. The sit out area just outside the cottage provided an awesome view of the mountains from the cottage. All in all, Jungle Hut is a MUST visit place. I am sure to visit this property once again, pretty soon.

This is one time when I’m so eager to acknowledge and recognise what can only be called an absolutely amazing time at a property. I spent 4 days at Jungle Hut, and I’m taking back a symphony of memories. The place is so sensitively created, with built form respecting and giving pride of place to nature. Pathway lights nestled in stone niches, rocks left where they were, spotted deer arriving at twilight to their safe haven in Jungle Hut, followed by an occasional wild boar. Amazing range of birds seen within the property itself. The rooms had everything in order, all the necessities in place, clean linen and towels, a safe, and everything in perfect working order- from the electricals to the plumbing. The food is absolutely amazing. Good range for the vegetarian and non veg guests. It’s like a perfect blend of a grandma’s delicious recipes with some dishes that are totally local and rustic and exotic. The staff were all like the chital in the property - gentle, alert, clued-in and respectful of your space. Almost as if they knew exactly about all your needs- of some ‘me time’ in a magical place and yet are ready to help when you need something. The house naturalist knows his wildlife better than most that I have experienced in my life and his passion to share the natural beauty of this landscape was at zen levels. I saw more wildlife with him on the road safaris than inside Mudumalai Park. (A tip- do try and book the Bandipur Gypsy safari online well in advance like I did. It’s a much better experience than Mudumalai). The front office was perhaps the best I have seen anywhere, open, friendly and managed by a bunch of people that I am comfortable considering as my friends now. I will be checking in at Jungle Hut again. And it will be like coming home to recharge and experience bliss…. among friends.

Amazing experience inside the jungle, simple yet beautiful room decor, yummies home made foods, superb hospitality.In one word thank you all the Jungle hut family to make our marriage anniversary so special.we spotted deers inside of the property, wild pigs, a lotzzz of beautiful birds overall it's a beautiful experience.

The Jungle Hut is a place for someone who wants to spend some private time, with constant bird chirping sounds, surrounded by greenery and mountains, far away from the hustling city life. The staffs show a great example of professionalism explaining the complete routine. A wonderful hiking, trekking, nature walk experience ***** with Rajesh a localite who was very friendly. Spacious and cozy stay in the form of Deluxe tent. Food very simple and healthy

Love the ambience. The stillness of the nights, jungle sounds, great food and an awesome team that's there to help in any way possible. The safari and massages are highly recommended. Walking back to your cottages in the evening amidst the deers is a whole new experience in itself
