Molino de Alcuneza Relais & Châteaux

My wife and I first visited this oasis of tranquility way back in 2008 for just one night to celebrate our 25th Wedding anniversary, and we had the most enjoyable meal we’d ever had in Spain till then. However, the charm of the old mill  stayed in our minds and when it came to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary in 2023, we decided to return for a longer stay.  Arriving by train in Sigüenza, we looked for a taxi but in Sigüenza in August, they’re like hen’s teeth :-)  (Ie non existent ) So, chancing our luck we phoned the Hotel and they graciously sent a car to pick us up (first good point), on arrival we were very warmly greeted by Inés (Head of Reception) who congratulated us on our anniversary (evidently when booking, I’d mentioned we were coming to celebrate our 40th) and on arrival in the room, there was a bottle of champagne and a large jar of their honey together with a welcome card wishing us a happy Anniversary and a pleasant stay. Staff The first thing to be mentioned was that all the staff had very pleasant attitude with smiles being the default, I can’t emphasise enough just how pleasantI the staff were as I think this makes or breaks a stay in a hotel,  personally I think  they all took their lead from Inés who was always around to help with any issues.  Food The food in the Bistro (the cheaper option)  was at the same level as the Restaurant with the tasting menu being Michelin star worthy  Environment  The grounds were really extensive with plenty of space where one could enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. The Room It was quite quaint as was to be expected of a mill conversion, very comfortable however.  The Verdict I can’t sing the praise of this very pleasant haven of tranquility enough All in all a very, very enjoyable stay, literally everything was just perfect  Oh and of course,  needless to say, on departure they ferried us back to Sigüenza Would we return? You bet we will.

The hotel is in the countryside and it is peaceful here. We had a room overlooking the swimming pool. Bianca and her staff in the hotel were very helpful. The only negative was breakfast in the restaurant. We asked for more croissants to be told none availble! Also we had to go into the kitchen area to ask the staff to come and attend to us.

Beautiful boutique hotel in a peaceful setting. It’s the finer details and personal touches that make this hotel stand out and you can tell that a lot of love and thought has gone into each space. Room was beautifully decorated and luxurious. Bed very comfortable! It’s a shame the weather was poor during our stay as we would have loved to spend more time outside on the terrace and by the pool. Loved the option to dine in-house alfresco at the Bistro as storms stopped us from venturing out to Siguenza for dinner. The food was very good, especially the breakfast consisting of in-house made treats and locally sourced produce. We were sad to leave!

The restaurant experience is unique and the accommodation very comfortable. The area is very peaceful and Siguenza is a superb village! Some improvements can be made for a nicer experience in the Spa & Massage rituals.

La relación calidad-precio no la puntúo, pues fue un regalo y desconozco el precio. En general, el establecimiento y el trato exquisitos, fue una estancia muy agradable y totalmente recomendable. El menú degustación fue una muy buena experiencia.

El hotel es magnífico, pero lo mejor es el restaurante. Excelente cocina de productos de temporada y de proximidad.

El sitio es perfecto para relajarse. Por la tarde hemos disfrutado de la pisicina y después del SPA. En la noche una cena deliciosa y posteriormente hemos realizado la actividad de las estrellas que ha sido genial. Sin duda volveremos.

Estancia muy agradable. Lugar relajante. Extraordinario restaurante. estupendo aparcamiento con plazas para coches eléctricos. Muy recomendable.

Un sitio precioso, con un cuidado en los detalles con el cliente, espacios muy limpios y con una bonita decoración. Personal amable y profesional. Camas cómodas, espaciosa habitación. Nos admitieron la perrita y pusieron bebedero y colchonetas. No se escuchaba ruidos de fuera. Spa y masajes recomendables al igual que su cocina de nivel superior.
