What a sensational B & B. Located at the end of a street about 6 km out of town across the bay. Parking is in the quiet street in front of the B&B very safe. We were in the grey room on the top floor with our large balcony, the room is a good size with a small hall & narrow bathroom the other end. If you have a choice definitely our pick, but saying that the other rooms are also very lovely and have their own balcony. Views from the large balcony are sensational, one end looking over the wet lands with flamingoes strolling about also looking over the bay to town & the tourist island, from the other end views of the other side of the bay & the Mussel & clam farms. The room is well set out even with a cloths airier & pegs, great when your travelling for 3 months. Our recommendation is the grey room for the balcony & views. TV has English channels. This is a bonus as we have found this is not the case in our travels at a B&B. The Breakfast is excellent, Stefano caters for each couples dietary needs. Provided in the garden which is also a lovely setting. We had the opportunity to meet the whole family, very lovely friendly people and made us feel very welcomed. Stefano gave us some great tips on where we should visit and all whilst different excellent. We would say the best B&B in Italy and we have visited many in our 11 weeks stay so far here. Nice and comfy rooms with excellent breakfast. Beautiful location and views of the lagoon and sea. Stefano, the owner, is a great host. He went out of his way to help us replace a broken rental car, which is not easy in Sicily! We can definitely recommend staying there!

We stayed 4 nights at this well-run, family owned B&B in a quiet residential neighborhood a few minutes drive from Siracusa. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable and grounds well kept. Breakfast is excellent with daily variations and taking into account guest food preferences. Stefano was a wonderful attentive host with lots of excellent information on things to do and where to eat. He also went out of his way to help us deal with an issue with our rental car. Stephano was an excellent host and a wonderful chef! His breakfast was delicious and he met us at arrival with a welcome drink. He showed us where to park to visit Ortigia and gave us tips on what to see. The space was spotless and large.

Where shall I start...I mean, everything was FANTASTIC! The location is literally in front of Ortigia's island with the B&B entrance in front an old saltworks where you can see the most beautiful sunset. The rooms are extremely cozy and designed to have everything you need, and I mean literally everything. One of the amazing detail about all the rooms, beside obviously being really beautiful with the highest level of hygiene and amenities, is that you will not hear anything from other rooms or outside world. They are literally soundproof. The private balconies and gardens are stunning and really make you wonder with all the beauty around. But the soul and body of this beautiful place is Stefano, the host/owner, and his infinite passion and work will make you feel at home and part of the family. Before you will arrive he will ask what time you will arrive at the B&B and if you have any allergies to be ready to welcome you on arrival and make sure that your breakfast will be aligned with your dietary requests. Every morning you will be showered with love an delighted by his breakfast creations such as the homemade cakes, fresh juices, homemade yoghurts and other traditional Sicilian delicacy. He does everything from scratch and he make sure that you leave happy and full! What an incredible person, and you can also meet all his family sometimes which are all incredible people. BRAVO!!!!!

Enjoyed everywhere we stayed during our 10 days in Sicily. The one standout was B&B Le Saline. The location and grounds were very nice, far enough away from the busier Ortigia, but just a short and easy ride away. Our room was super clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were as good if not better than you would expect in a fine Zagat rated restaurant. For us, it's not a question of whether or not we will ever return, but instead, a question of when (it is 4500 miles away from home). Last note, listen to Stefano and go to Nostos Bistrot...best meal during our 10 days of fine dining in Sicily for sure.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time and stay at Le Saline. The room was super-clean and decorated to a high standard,with some nice modern touches. The breakfast was made fresh, was local and plentiful. The highlight though was Stefano, the host. He could not have been any friendlier and knowledgeable. His connection and passion for the area and his B&B was great to see and we were glad we could be part of it, just for a few days.

What can we say that it hasn’t already been said about this place ,, all of the reviews on here are pretty much spot on .. my view of the place , is that it’s cosy , rustic. , and ideal , for anybody wishing to stay away from the city cluster ,, Stefano makes the whole thing “ personal “ , with his flamboyant approach to breakfast , so that you get on with your day , in a good mood ,, the rooms are functional , and the parking outside , very safe and free , whitch helps ,, Stefano is also very accommodating with any problems you may encounter ,, we did , and he solved it with a phone call ,,, he also gave us tips on a few restaurants in the area , that were really nice to visit and didn’t disappoint ,, would definetely come back , if ever in the area ,,

The room was comfortable and clean. Nice staff, and a voucher for breakfast at nearby bar. Location near archeological museum. Enjoyed our stay. Siracusa was a lot of fun to explore, especially their unique cathedral and the market. A good budget choice.

Great place to stay! The room was very clean and the overall stay was good value for money. The breakfast was excellent! There were several different items which were all very fresh. They also cater for specific dietary requirements.

We had a lovely week's stay here - Stefano is the perfect host and could not have done more to look after us and make us feel welcome. We were stranded after a car hire problem at the airport and were so grateful when he said he'd be at the bus station in Syracuse to pick us up. He drove us back again the following day and sorted out another car for us and then took us back in to collect it. Nothing was too much trouble and he really went above and beyond to help. Our room was very comfortable and quiet and modern in taste. The bed was spacious. We liked the touch of glass bottles of chilled water and the totally silent fridge. So many times have we had to turn a fridge off at night because of the noise! Breakfast was amazing - fresh fruit, little pots of yogurt or such like with berries and other things, so prettily presented. Toasts (different every day) with savory toppings, which went down very well as we like something savory for breakfast. Freshly squeezed orange juice and homemade cake! Hungry you will not be. A car to explore but the B&B is within walking distance of a very pleasant (and quiet) beach and several very good restaurants and bars. If you don't want to walk there is a good restaurant literally just across the road with lovely views over the bay to Syracuse. We didn't have time to explore everywhere that we planned so definitely hope to return and stay again and we recommend this place without any hesitation. We were very grateful to be away from the hustle and heat of the city and yet it is within an easy ten minute drive to see all the sights of Syracuse and Ortigia.

I wish I could add more positive words than already written by other guests, but its hard. But Stefano took care of us as if we were long time friends. We stayed two nights in the grey room with the amazing balcony overlooking the sea and the lake with flamingos. But the best was the breakfast - special creation every morning by Stefano. Not the usual stuff, but homemade cake, sweet yoghurt with berries, fresh pressed oranges direct from the garden and good coffee. Small toast with zucchini , parmesan, salat tomatoes. Very friendly and nice owner! He invited guest with homemade almonds milk. He asked for allergies and my food preferences. He explained always about the night program. The breakfast was the best in Sicilia. Homemade marmalade, ricotta with nuts and touts with grilled mushrooms, pecorino, green salad and nuts.

Senza tanti giri di parole...stanze pulite, posto curatissimo, una famiglia a disposizione dei propri ospiti , colazioni con composizioni sia dolce che salato sempre diverse e sempre con prodotti tipici del territorio. Gli spazi esterni delle camere permettono di stare comodamente fuori dalla stanza in completa riservatezza... Veramente veramente bravi.
