Hotel di Sofia City Center, Sofia

As the poster on arrival says - you didn't come all this way to explore the hotel! The EasyHotel is basic but fulfills all needs - the bed is comfortable, the heating system is HOT (and the window opens). The shower was small but effective (although struggled to get warm in the morning), and that's about it for conveniences; there some luggage storage under the bed, a pair of coat hangers fixed to the wall and light switches/charging station next to the bed. The hotel is basic but clean and serviceable and absolutely all you need for the price.

📍 Location & Pricing • Location: Sofia, Bulgaria. Strategically located near the main transport hubs. • The metro station (coming from the airport) is very close.  • Tram stops are on the corner, and the main bus/train station is just a couple of blocks away.  • The city center is about 1.5 km away.  • Price Range: 79€/d. 🛏️ The Room Experience • Room Type: Twin room on the 11th floor.  • Size & Cleanliness: Adequate size and clean.  • Bed: 110cm firm mattress, reported to be very comfortable, with two soft pillows.  • Amenities: Flat-screen TV, coffee maker, fridge, and hairdryer included.  • Drawbacks: No major issues mentioned. 🚽 Bathroom Details • Cleanliness & Setup: The bathroom was clean.  • Shower/Bath: High and slippery bathtub. Water pressure was very good.  • Products & Towels: Basic amenities were provided. Some towels showed signs of wear with frayed edges.  🍳 Food & Beverage • Included: Yes, breakfast was included.  • Variety & Quality: A very complete breakfast buffet, offering both hot and cold, sweet and savory options, including some local specialties.  • Negative Point: The only drawback was the juice, which tasted artificial, like a powdered mix.  🏊 Common Areas & Facilities • Facilities: The hotel features a spa, sauna, indoor pool, a restaurant, a cocktail bar, and a ******.  👨💼 Service Evaluation • Reception: Morning staff was serious. Evening staff seemed bothered by questions regarding the spa.  • Cocktail Bar: Staff here was very kind and friendly.  • Spa Staff: Described as serious, speaking only the bare minimum of words.  • Daily Housekeeping: Room cleaning was minimal; they only straightened the duvet, leaving the pillows as they were. Coffee and tea amenities were not replenished.  🚗 Transport & Access • Public Transport: Excellent connection. Very close to the metro line from the airport, with tram stops nearby and the main stations within walking distance.  🔐 Security • Access Control: Access is managed via a key card.  • Safe: There is no safe deposit box in the room.  Final Verdict: ✔ Top Strength: The super comfortable bed combined with the excellent location near major transport links (metro, bus, train). ❌ Main Drawback: The service was inconsistent, particularly the minimal housekeeping (no coffee/tea refill) and the unenthusiastic staff at reception and the spa.

Positives: Great location. Minutes to Serdica, Lion’s Bridge metro stations and easy access to public buses, shops and eateries. Room was spacious and clean. Negatives: the door to enter the room is hard to open from inside- u need to step into the bathroom in order for the door to open wide. The area outside the room is not soundproof so the noise when people talk (in my case, kids talking and crying) is very loud and clearly heard.

Overall cleanliness of the whole property is ok as the cleaner did her best from what I saw, but unluckily my bed was not as clean as I expected. Hope the color on my bed cover and pillow was stain not dirt (see pictures). Also when I wanted to extend my stay for the next day and came down to receptionist, he said he had finished his shift and asked me to come back in the morning, while his shift was actually not finished yet (there is a written information what time reception is supposed to close). Other than those two issues, it was a great stay, kitchen is spacious with stoves, sink, fridge, table and chairs, living room.

The location is perfect, making it easy to explore the city while still feeling peaceful and relaxing. The breakfast was a real highlight: excellent variety, fresh ingredients, and delicious options to suit all tastes. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff were friendly, professional, and always happy to help. Overall, a fantastic experience and great value for money. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sofia

Hotel is good, service leaves much to be desired. We arrived at the hotel at 2 p.m. and asked on reception if the room is ready (normal check-in at 3 p.m.). The answer was that the room will be ready by check-in time (3 p.m.). We came to the reception at 3 p.m., our room was not ready. The reception lady asked ask to wait 10-15 min. We came to the reception at 15:30, the room was not ready. The lady apologised and asked us to wait 15-20 min maximum. We came at 16:10 - the room was not ready. On my question “when will it be ready?” I’ve got the answer “I don’t know”. I asked the lady to call to the floor responsible/cleaning supervisor and clarify. The answer was “ I already called them, they also don’t know”. I got angry as nobody could tell me when we can expect the room ready. After I applied to their manager, the key was provided to us in 5 min. The room was not so bad, but in the bathroom there was strong sewage smell that stayed in the room for the whole night.

This was a great find for travellers. There is a shared bathroom, toilets, kitchen and lounge area. Everything was very clean. We stayed in the deluxe double room that had fantastic views of the city from the balcony. Towels and bedding were included. The property is on the 7th floor opposite the park and is a short distance from the metro station.

호텔은 다 좋았는데 밤에 뜨거운 물이 안 나와서 샤워를 못했습니다. 아침에 뜨거운 물 안 나왔다고 리셉션에 얘기해서 고쳐지긴 했습니다.

the room was satisfactory at a whole, esp with the little balcony attached for a small laundry zone, electric water kettle for making hot tea, a small refrigerator for use, a big plastic bucket in bathroom and hair dryer provided. The lightings are bright enough. TV also offered a few channels. if a microwave or a small oven could be provided by the hotel for customers reheating their takeaway food or bread, alongside with a mini size folderable tea table, they would definitely earn an extra score by all customers.
